I came here with six other people in the middle of the afternoon and there were barely any people there. Despite that, our service was extremely slow and frustrating. We ordered some appetizers and when they finally came out, the waitress didn't bring us any extra plates so we had to pass around the large platters. One of the things we got was spicy and it took at least 15 minutes for her to come over and refill my water.

I got the "famous" chicken tortilla soup, which was kind of lukewarm, and the "best in the nation" burger, which I asked for medium but came out extremely well-done. It was dry and disappointing. Their cookies are awesome though.

I love this place out of habit, but it's gone so downhill over the years. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting at the bar, waiting over 20 minutes past their quote time for my carryout order. Bartender has disappeared with several guests at the bar and tables needing service. Tables aren't bussed, customer is waiting to pay out, and there's a crowd at the door waiting to be sat. Every few minutes a random server walks by presumably to check on a drink, sees it's not there, then leaves without any attention given to the disaster in the bar area. Does it make sense to have your bartender run tables, handle carryout, make drinks for the whole restaurant, AND run the bar? Restaurant us about 1/3 full, and he's in the weeds. Pretty sad... Welcome to amateur hour.

PS. Now it's 30 minutes past their quote time and I'm still waiting...

Hubby drags me here periodically so he can get the french onion soup and a garbage burger. Yesterday with the restaurant about half full, hostess stalked ahead of us all the way to the back to seat us at a table in the sun, next to a huge party with several toddlers. We finally caught up with her and asked for a booth in another area--she literally sneered, threw the menus down and huffed off. Great way to start a meal.

Food quality seems to be declining as prices go up. I paid $9 for two skimpy fish tacos and a tiny mound of slaw. Frozen Gorton's fish sticks taste better. Hope I can manage to stay away a long time.
