Went to a  free all ages show, at the "fair trade and fun" Oxfam Cafe at Tufts University.
Spritzer!
I do not prefer rock shows at a coffee shop or a theatre...
But I think the Tufts kids are psyched!!
Who did the Oxfam pay off to have these weeknight events so loud and so late??! I can see Ivy Leaguers studying and puttering around their dorm rooms above the rock show. They certainly didn't have this kind of venue at Umass Boston and I say the kids deserve to be exposed to good local affordable music.
Let them eat organic-vegan-proceeds-donated-to-charity-student-Âmade-Cake!
However, I think the people here are too self-conscious to dance; we were mainly sober and dignified to labtop glam electro and shoe gazin punk. The best music was the funky filler, according to a certain crypt keeper at this party...
Oh yeah, and if you are insane and ride your bike 1 hour and 20 here from JP be prepared for a killer hill from Davis Square.  Though I got tricked into this triatholon to Tufts by Hardcore Monica, the ride was actually the highlight of my  night.  :)
Do Check out the Oxfam's listings if you are a youth, or sober, or just want some free fun-
