    Breakfast Club!

Parkside cafe is definitely a hidden gem on McMillan/WNH! It was renovated from another chain restaurant so it is quite spacious and was able to seat a larger group together, no problemo! The menu is also extensive, especially for breakfast. I had the traditional breakfast, delicious. The omelettes looked amazing with numerous filling options. Definitely would recommend for breakfast, will be back again if I'm in the area!

Parkside Cafe was a bit weird for me. First off, it's located inside an old Frisch's. They still have a salad bar, they haven't changed the layout at all, and honestly I just felt like I was eating at Frisch's.

Even if this place felt weird, but the food was outstanding I still might have given five stars, but my food was average. I ordered the meat lover omelette add green peppers and mushrooms. When it came out it was way overcooked, but some of the ingredients inside were still raw. It was like they just threw them in the omelette at the last minute without actually cooking it. I was a little disappointed especially because of all the hype this place gets.

In their defense this is a solid diner. Coffee is always filled to the brim, and the service was very friendly and nice. I think I will go back and try a simple diner breakfast instead of the omelette because looking around everyone else's looked delicious including the whopping plate of blueberry pancakes. I definitely need to go back.

A community staple. Fast, friendly service, and the kind of hearty breakfast food you'd expect from a neighborhood diner. Weekend mornings at Parkside are quickly becoming a tradition. Keep the big mugs of coffee coming!

I'm proud to say the Parkside is my neighborhood diner. The only problem is - we've been eating breakfast there about once a week recently...and my pants don't quite fit right anymore.

The food at Parkside is delicious and very affordable. I'm a fan of the Parkside Breakfast (2 eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast) for $4.99. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it's delicious - not knock-you-over-the-head ourstanding, but man-I-needed-that-cup-of-coffee delicious.

The folks at the Parkside are friendly and helpful. On a weekday morning, you can pretty much walk right in and sit down, but weekends tend to get a little busy, especially during traditional brunch hours.

Next up: Parkside's lunch food. I'm sure it'll be tasty, as well. These folks really do things right.

    unreal food.

careful though - the side salad is the size of a car.

the gyro = awesome.  best outside of findlay market.

the fact you can order tots in place of fries makes me smile every morning when i wake up.

and the fact that they kept the beauty of the frisch's layout of the building and simply added romero britto art is what really makes this place super, duper special in my book.

I think this is the new frontrunner in our quest to find Cincinnati's best diner for breakfast. I live walking distance from the Parkside Cafe, but had never bothered going inside before - it's pretty nondescript and not in the greatest area. Finally went here on a Tuesday morning and we were the only ones in the place. The restaurant is wide open and huge with lots of natural light. I got an egg white omelette with vegetables; a little annoying you can't sub fresh fruit for the potatoes, but it does say no substitutions right on the menu. The omelette was DELICIOUS. Huge, fluffy, a lot of fresh vegetables (green pepper, spinach and tomatoes). The spinach was real, not frozen. The omelette was cooked just right and not anorexic-looking like so many egg white omelettes I've had in Cincy. The service was great, and as we were paying, I noticed they have a specialty coffee menu - I have to go back and try their latte. I can't believe I've lived here this long and never discovered this place (or hadn't been recommended it before). We'll be back.

And also, one awesome note about this place that I'm sure I'll be taking advantage of on a Saturday morning - a drive-through! For breakfast! I needed this in college when I used to call in my omelette order to our local diner and stagger over in the morning to pick it up. I can't wait to use the drive-through.

This place has a pretty good breakfast buffet. Its a good Frisch's style restaurant. The interior could use some sprucing, but the food is great. Certainly an asset for the neighborhood.

Good old school breakfast place, with many menu items.

I had the veggie omelet with a side of bacon and goetta, I call it the contradiction breakfast.
Was not too keen on the side of potatoes that came with the omelet, too greasy for my taste.

Topped it off with a chocolate milkshake, that was perfectly creamy and chocolaty.

All and all it was an A-OK meal, and would not mind going back there for breakfast.

The area is a little sketchy, but the service did not reflect this by any means.

This little gem is right down the block from my office in Walnut Hills and I am quite the fan! Their staff is so incredibly friendly, and they are always very accommodating when several people from our office make orders and we request to pay for them seperately.

I usually stick to their chicken options, which are all fantastic. In fact, I just polished off a buffalo chicken wrap. I also adore their breakfast and they serve it all day, which is fantastic for someone like myself who loves breakfast food, but can't eat a large meal like that during the morning hours.

I have a feeling this would be a great spot the day after a late night of drinking and I highly recommend it!

Parkside Cafe was suggested as our New Year's Day brunch destination. Unfortunately, the staff was experiencing some hiccups/staff issues so I don't think they were quite on their "A game."  While the service and kitchen were a bit backed up - my meal was still quite tasty.  I had the Walnut Hills Pancake Stack, which consisted of a huge amount of pancakes covered with walnuts, honey and a dollop of sweet butter. Parking was ample and there were plenty of patrons and many of them seemed to be regulars. Despite the setbacks, our server was friendly and helpful.

I'll definitely give it another try.

Great little cafe and the owners are very supportive of the surrounding community.  I remember when it was a Frische's and it is so much better now.  Good veggie dishes aboud and I've even been to an art opening party at the cafe.  Support this small business....

Yes, it used to be the Frisch's in Walnut Hills.  It is now a regular Saturday morning habit.

Solid breakfasts.  Several veg options.  Ginormous bowl of grits!!  Friendly servers.  Diverse crowd on Saturday mornings.

Saturday special -- All you can eat pancakes or french toast!  Some sort of buffet on Sundays.

Very decent coffee.  And ... a frequent dining card - buy six meals and seventh one is free.  The neighborhood go-to breakfast joint.
