I like smaller crowds, good beer, sports, and engaging bartenders, which means I love, love, love Parlor Sports. I can go into this place, know no one, and in minutes start chatting it up with the people around me. Garvey, J, James, and John are the bestest. They always greet me with a handshake or a hug. It's like going over a friends house. Even if you're not a regular, you will be soon.

They also do cool events like hold a Kentucky Derby Party with bad hats!  And after the Boston Marathon Bombing, they had an all-profits night go to the victims.

For food, I recommend the steak and cheese and grilled cheese (add bacon and jalapeno) with tomato soup. I also love the Crispy Cobb salad.

I've been to Parlor for big games (like the Patriots playoffs), and it's still a good, fun vibe....but I prefer there more casual nights.

The bartender is charming. The bros are broish. There was also a chick with pretty awesome hair.

Prices are regular. Food looks okay.

Pours are not ample. Whiskeys are not plentiful.

I guess it's a sports bar? Or a pub? Or a dive? I don't really know. It's very tiny and cramped and not very exciting.

Seems like a friendly place, and there is nothing offensive about it, but I don't think it offers anything in particular that would give it a place in my rotation besides the very specific circumstance of "Trina's is packed and the weather is gross, so let's just go in the bar next door instead of walking somewhere else."

OH man this place is great.  Beer as cheap as 2 bones for a 16oz can.  Also, the menu reads like a Tim Allen bit (roh roh oh oh oh).  Just meat and chips and cheese all congealed together.  Come to think of it, the whole place kind of looks like Tim Allen designed it.  Stainless steel tables and what not.  Now I know what you're thinking, maybe even saying aloud to yourself or a loved one who happens to be near your computer or smartphone. "Oh Tim Allen sucks."  This is true, but this place doesn't.  This place is a gem.

This place is amazing.  I first became aware of it when Chris Camille, he of Midnight Riders and BSSL Presidential fame, started tweeting out that informal Revs away game viewings were going on at a bar in Somerville.  In general, I haven't taken part in many Revs away game viewing parties.  All the locations are too far from my Central Mass base.  It takes me an hour and 20 minutes to get from my house to The Banshee, so thats pretty much reserved for "Must See / Cant See" matches like USMNT away CONCACAF Qualifiers in HD in English on BeIn Sport.  Somerville is a lot easier, especially from where I live right near Route 2, its pretty much a straight shot in under 40 minutes to the elbow at 16/Alewife.  Its just another 10 minutes from there down Mass Ave. to Inman Square and this awesome little bar.

I went after a BSSL game last weekend, and there was a huge crowd of Revs fans there, probably close to 20, and although its not officially a "Soccer Bar" its certainly headed in that direction and a soccer friendly establishment.  There is a limited selection of beers on tap, but there was one that some kind of lightly hoppy honey beer that was awesome.  The food is stylistically the bar food staples, waings, sandwiches, etc. but it's a cut above the typical standard for freshness and quality.  I was impressed.  The bar staff is real friendly, and at halftime of the game, everyone goes outside and plays a pickup soccer game in the parking lot.  I really want to go in there one day and post up for a whole afternoon.  This is a much needed addition to the Boston soccer scene, and a place I will be returning to  in the near future.

I don't have to watch sports at Tavern! Four stars for that alone.  Bartenders are great. Beer selection is good. Food is pretty good. Just wish they had a larger selection of the hard stuff and more space to watch the games!

Just keeps getting better and better here.

Try the cobb salad, chili  or veggie burger. You won't be disappointed. Garvey, Jay and Patrick will take good care of you.

Big fan of this place --  I happened to hear about it either online or from Phantom Gourmet, when they were talking about Trina's Starlite Lounge. I never ended up writing down the name of it, but my buddy and I decided we wanted to catch some Saturday night college football, so we headed in the direction of Trina's hoping it would jump out at us.

For starters, the layout in this place is great. There's a wrap around bar that seats about 8-10 comfortably. There's several tables lined up against the back, with plenty of room to get up, walk around and get to the bathroom without feeling like you're on top of someone.

There are several TV's mounted in perfect locations in the place, allowing you to watch a variety of sports from any seat there. The food is tasty -- I've gone for the burger as well as the Pepperoni Roll (think pizza/chicken roll), which they market as a grown up Hot Pocket. It was delicious (and only $4).

The beer selection is what will keep me coming here. The first time I came, they had Dale's Pale Ale on draft. Anyone who drinks this beer knows that this is not the easiest thing to find at a bar on draft (most places known for beer at least have it cans). The fact that they had this on tap sold me on the place. I came back a few weeks later and Dale's was off, but High and Mighty XPA was on. They apparently have a rotating tap list -- nothing wrong with that.

It's a great place to catch a game with some friends and have some good drinks and food. Definitely worth a visit.

I refer to this place as an urban sports bar.  Its small, clean, good beer selection, lots of TV's, friendly staff and fun clientele.  It is my favorite in Inman Square!

LOVE this bar! The staff is the best!! The food is good, and there are enough TV's that you can always see the game you want.

THE BEST. The absolute best. Great, cheap beers on draft. More TVs than seats.  Nice people more than willing to turn on some early-season White Sox-Royals game.

Never had a bad experience here, and doubt I ever will.

Also: Tuesday Night Food Fight. Do it.

This bar is perfect. PERFECT. I'm leaving Boston soon and a serious concern of mine was actually whether or not I'd find a Parlor Sports-caliber place in my life ever again.

Oh, and I'm not a sports fan, either. Or maybe I had just never been in the right atmosphere to enjoy sports, because getting to Parlor Sports early for the Celtics games and being part of the whole excitement of it is really a transformative experience for a non-fan. It's great.

Other things that are great: bartenders who can be dealing with 400 people at once and still remain unharried, polite, and attentive; a menu that was crafted by the gods of less-than-healthy foodstuff; a clientele that all seems to know each other but is totally willing to bring you into the fold; a comprehensive beer list at reasonable prices for the quality; a cable package that offers virtually anything a patron asks to see.

Now I'm babbling. It's just the most perfect sports bar. And until I find another place where bartenders genuinely introduce themselves with a handshake, I will continue to believe this.

Hello team.  I'm much more of a review consumer than I am a provider, but I had to take time out of my day to pass this one on.

I was on the road in the Boston area the past week or two, and the New York Rangers were (are!) in the midst of a deep playoff run.  Parlor Sports, in addition to providing an excellent selection of draft and bottled beers, also has an excellent selection of televisions.  With sound, for the team you'd like to watch!  It is tough enough to get Ranger playoff sound at bars in Brooklyn if any other sport is on (you never know who's gonna kill it in spring training), let alone to get Ranger playoff sound in Boston with the Red Sox on (well, not really "on" so much this season).  I think I was in three or four times over two weeks, and whether it was packed or just opening, this was a place to remember.

Garvey, Bo, that guy in the baseball hat, and the guy in the jockey shirt for the Derby...thanks...great times!!

A great place to watch a soccer match.

There are not many other places you can this about.

I just got home from watching the Revs here and it was a really great night. The management could not have treated our group better. As soccer fans it can be tough to find places willing to show a match with sound but they were completely helpful from the moment we approached them.

I stuck around to watch the Celtics as well and the atmosphere was great for that too.

The beer selection and cocktails are what you would expect from the same owners as Trina's.

I also really enjoyed my veggie burger.

I hope you all enjoyed my excited, yet fragmented, review of Parlor Sports! See you all there for the next Revs game!

Parlor sports is awesome. It strikes the right balance between sports bar and chill watering hole. It's as much of a sports bar as cambridge/somerville can handle, which is perfect. I did not encounter any bros.

It's a great place to watch a game- plenty of tvs, delicious food (shares a kitchen with trina's, so if you like their food you'll like parlor's), super friendly and attentive service, but even if you don't care about any of the games that are on, you can still enjoy a great meal and a cold beer. They have music on so it's also easy to ignore the games and have a conversation.

Great beer selection. Great service. Down the street from my apartment. Perfect.

Hmm. Trina's little brother (redneck cousin?) ain't half bad.
Parlor Sports offers Sunday brunch, which is nice since Trina's offers the mid-day feast on Mondays for industry folk. The menu is minimalist, but you'll get the standard eggs with home fries, toast, and choice of bacon or sausage, or pancakes, or a tofu and veggie scramble, and coffee. Yummy coffee, served in mismatched mugs with unlimited refills.

8 TVs showing sporting events (helllooo, spring training, can't wait!), low tables, high-tops, bar seating, and an impressive beer list for a joint that's likely 400 square feet. A Rogue on tap that'd I'd never even heard of earned tons of points for me.

Nothing too special here, but I'll definitely be back for beers, pepperoni rolls, and baseball, hopefully with a super hot dude, soon.

I've been to Trina's a bunch, but just experienced Parlor Sports for the first time. It's got the same great vibe that Trina's has: low lighting, clean, vintage-y design and great staff.
We headed over to Parlor Sports for a Bruins game after learning that the Thirsty Scholar didn't play volume for sports games. (I'm generally fine with this actually, but the bar was practically empty and I couldn't handle listening to Katy Perry while watching the B's... but I digress...). When we walked into Parlor Sports, the Celtics were on every TV- and there's alot, btw- but we asked if by chance they would put on the B's (with volume). He was totally cool and was like, "Absolutely!", So, high points for that.
The beer selection is great- good standards with some good craft beer selections (i.e. Clown Shoes). Food is great - I've never had a bad meal at Trina's (and it's same the same kitchen). Fries are yummy and fresh and the cole slaw is perfect, in my opinion. I had the chicken sandwich with dijonnaise and swiss and it was prefectly seasoned and portioned. My finace had hot dogs with griddled onion and asked for griddled jalepenos, which made his night (cheap date).
The bartender (who I learned was actually one of the owners) was casual and totally on point, with a great sense of humor.
Generally speaking, this place has enough TV's that you could watch a number of sporting events at the same time (and the bartender actually asked what game incoming clients wanted to watch). Though I doubt I'll want to stuff myself in to such a tiny place (i.e. it likely gets packed) during the playoffs, this is now my local Bruins bar!

This place is cool. It's small and the TV angles are a little weird, but overall, great experience. Service was friendly and laid-back, burger was great, beer selection was broad and they have enough tv's to put on multiple games simultaneously.

I've been a pretty regular customer at Trina's since it opened.  I love everything about the bar.  The vibe.  The drinks.  The food.  It's solid and unpretentious.  Plus, I can get a sloppy joe or a hot dog at a restaurant!

I used to especially love the "back room" of Trina's, which is now Parlor Sports.  So, naturally, I hated Parlor the first time I went.  I was still missing the old space, plus the lights were too bright and they weren't playing any music (even though it was Saturday night and no games were on).

But I gave it another chance and now I'm a fan.  Parlor has a ton of TVs (even one over the toilet!), a pretty good menu, and lots of great beer (on tap and in bottles).  And once the games end, they are now dimming the lights and playing some tunes.

And I have to note that the people who run this place are, as always, fantastic.

The redesign of the Parlor Bar at Trina's Starlite Lounge is finally done.

The improvements: More beer options, more snack options, a better place to watch sports (obviously), open more, more of a contrast to the front bar at Starlite.  And it is pretty classy for a sports bar.

I don't like the character nearly as much as the original Parlor Bar, though.  When I came in on a weekday evening, it was practically empty and seemed a shadow of its former self.  Made me a little sad, even though I still liked the place quite a bit.
