Ew, DON'T eat here. We met some friends here before the Bruins home opener. We had to be out by 6:30 (I DO NOT miss puck drop). We waited for a LONG time for someone to serve us and then it took another 15 min to get our drinks. I know, I know, it was busy for the Bruins game. but I never have to wait that long at the Harp and they are a thousand times busier.

Anyhoo... oh yes, DO NOT GET FOOD HERE. I don't know, maybe there was a salt shortage that night. Maybe the cooks are allergic to delicious herbs and spices and they're not allowed to have them in the kitchen. But there was NO seasoning on ANYTHING we ordered. Bruschetta? Nope, just tomatoes and mozzarella balls with bread on the side. Chicken tenders? Nope, just chicken with flour on it. French fries with a trio of dipping sauces? Naw, just cooked potatoes Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce and some mayo!

I'm going back to the Harp before games.

I had a bad time here 2 years ago but went back tonight and had a bad time again.  There were empty tables but we were told we could not sit because there were only 2 of us and the tables were for 4.  We were told 20 minutes so we waited.  20 minutes later there's still the same open tables and we still cannot sit at them.  What I found interesting was that there WAS a party of 2 men seated at a table we supposedly couldn't have.  Do they think women won't eat or drink enough to be worth seating?

Having been a fan of Porter's since the day they opened their doors, my menu choices tended to be pretty consistent: burgers, Newporter roll-up, and the Cubano (still my favorite).

But, on a bit of a health kick, I decided to order a salad before a recent Celtics game. I opted for the Cajun Chicken Spinach Salad.

The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a nice heat to the blackening seasoning. Not enough to overpower the rest of the dish, but enough to really take center-stage.

The spinach was fresh, and I loved the addition of feta (such a great pairing for spinach). Finally, the dressing was light, with a good amount of citrus to tie everything together.

While the burgers are still the main attraction on the menu, this salad did not disappoint.
