One of my favorite bars in Boston! It's pretty swank and classy, the cocktails are great and the DJ is always good.
I wish the place was bigger though because it always feels so congested in their.
My advice would be to get there early. This place has super long lines and sometimes it gets so packed that they only allow hotel guests in past a certain time.
I'll start off by saying I don't enjoy spending $10+ for a mixed drink nor do I enjoy $6 Corona bottles. Â However when I went to Alibi I didn't hate it. Â
I got here early and from what I hear a line forms very fast around 10pm. Â Even though it was packed the bartenders were quick to get you a drink and it was a great atmosphere. Â Inside can be a little tight but they offer a pretty large patio with an outside bar. Â The one thing keeping this place from a 5 star review in my opinion is the lack of beer selection on the outside. Â I understand there's a lack of space but I'd prefer a bigger selection than the $5 bud light and $6 Corona. Â If I'm paying $6 for a beer, at least give me a Sam or Harpoon. Â
One other negative is the bathrooms are in the hotel lobby. Â But no big deal, you get a bathroom card when you leave and don't wait in line afterwards. Â
But very relaxing, great atmosphere, great spot for a nice night and a lot of fun. Â I didn't try the food but I was told the steak skewer was good. Â I'd probably have to open a new credit card in order to bring a date here but that's fine.
I love Alibi!
I recently stayed at The Liberty Hotel, so friends met me for pre-dinner Saturday cocktails at this little speakeasy/club/bar. I love the theme of Alibi...they fully embraced the prison-esque history of the space (complete with the authentic barred windows and cell doors) and blended it perfectly with the modern by including mug shots of celebrities...so fun!
The cocktails are expensive (between $12 - $14), but they are very tasty!
I understand Alibi becomes as club at night, and I'm a little beyond that kind of scene, but for a nice 6pm cocktail, it was perfect!
