I've gone to Pour House countless times over the course of 4 years (college). It's one of my favorite places to go hang out before a concert at Berklee, or just to relax after work.
Pros:
Wednesdays = 1/2 priced chicken sandwich + fries
Thursdays = 1/2 priced Mexican
Saturdays = 1/2 priced burgers + fries
The booths are small and the speakers are always too loud, and milling around while trying to spot any sign of a free booth gets old some times, but what can you expect? It's one of the busiest bars in the area. Weekends are the most busy, so prepare to push through an entire floor of people to get to an even more crowded basement!
I love them for their cheap prices, and the food is really good. Can't wait to visit Boston again and come here for the brunch!
I'm a pretty big fan of the Pour House. Good bar/restaurant where they serve beer in pretty substantial mugs for pretty cheap, given the amount of beer you get. I've eaten the nachos here before, they are pretty substantial, I shared them with a friend and we didn't even finish them and I have been with friends who had other apps like the potato skins which they really liked. The service is good and the atmosphere can get loud, but it's not horrible, pretty typical for a popular bar. There is usually a line to get in on weekend nights but it moves at a good pace since there is also a downstairs bar which is a chill area.
