Tons of bartenders but they all seem to be not waiting on anyone and do not make eye contact so they do not have to serve you. When there are 4 bartenders and you can't keep up then you have a problem. The place was not full at 730pm but they couldn't seem to handle it. Overall the place is fun but some of the bartenders need to get off their high horse and get to work!
Review Source:I've written a review on this place before. I def love this place. THe burgers are excellent as is the fries. Today, I tried their cheesesteak. Well, it gets a C-. THe bun used is subpar for a quality cheesesteak. It was dry and uneventful. The cheese was overall absent. I am use to the high quality cheesesteaks you get at Tony Lukes and John's Roast Pork to name just a few. A cheeseateak is not that hard to make awesome. I make them at my house for people.
Again, their chili, burgers and fries are excellent. They just need to revamp the cheesesteak. Bottom line...don't order the cheesesteak.
Only three burger meals are over $10. Everything else is $4-$10.

Excellent neighborhood place near Moravian College.
Good burgers, good cheesesteaks, excellent french fries, and a pretty good craft beer selection. Only misstep I had was their salad which had a weird combination I hadn't considered before I ordered. Grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, olives.... and mango chunks?
I said the same thing about the Allentown sister establishment but I'll say it again for this place too: the food is priced fair and tastes great. No complaints. It is a bar, though. Just keep that in mind. I also think they have a good TV setup. You can watch most of the TVs from any seat in the house.
Service seems slightly more attentive at the Allentown restaurant, though.
I wish I could give this place a better review. Â It has all the makings of a great neighborhood bar including a very good selection of very good beers. Unfortunately the trivia announcer ruined it for us. Â The volume was up so load that you couldn't even hear what he was saying or what anyone else was saying for that matter. Even when the trivia guy wasn't mumbling into the mic the music was uncomfortably loud. Â This was a wednesday night mind you. We were hoping to drink some good beers, but instead got blasted out of the bar.
For the trivia guy: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D52Ml_zax4A0%26cc%3D1%23t%3D113s&s=69e96105ad218e72b7a5a7750bc69dd86b2afe283f1ca75eead8f3de3452358a" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/w…</a>
For the owner: Put the volume control behind the bar, and adjust it according to who's actually patronizing your establishment, not who'd you'd like to be patronizing your establishment..
I finally ate here - it's not far from my house so I am very late to the party. This is a neighborhood hangout. I went on a Friday during college season, and expected it to be all students but instead was met with families, groups of middle-aged men and people watching various games.
I thought the food was only ok. I got the buffalo salad. I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but it couldn't even hold a candle to the equivalent Friendly's salad - sad. My husband got the slider platter and his burgers only tasted of grease and not much else. The fries were very tasty though and our server was very friendly and attentive.
I would probably come back, but only for appetizers and drinks.
We usually come here for a ball game, trivia on Tuesdays, or the DJ who starts late thurs-sat. Regardless of when you come this place is loud, VERY LOUD. The food is bar food, adequate and greasy.
They have different food and drink specials every day, both for happy hour and all day, which are pretty good. Overall I like Roosevelt's, but it is not a good place to go if you want to chat quietly.
I have been slacking for not writing a review yet for Roosevelts as I am there at least twice a week. Â Everything on the menu is under $10 with the exception of the FDR challenge (good luck if you can do it!). Â
They have 3 specials daily, an all day special, a happy hour special, and a food special. Â These are ALWAYS great deals. Â My favorites are on Mondays all bottled beer is $2, on Wednesdays all draft beer (even Guinness!) is $2, on Sundays $6 pitchers of everything, and on Fridays from 5-7, $4 martinis. Â Love it.
I love, love, love their fries, which can come loaded, old bay style, chili-cheese, garlic (these will eff up your breath for days!), and a few others I think. Â They also have about 15 flavors of wings which are always delicious.
The Chicken Spring salad and the Fresh Mozzerella and Tomato Salad are healthy AND delicious, which is a nice find when alot of bars don't have much healthy fare. Â The burgers are phenomenal! Â My favorite is a rare burger with a fried egg, avocado, bacon, and cheese...I am pretty sure that is what they serve in the afterlife.
TJ the server/bartender is awesome, friendly and accomodating. Â I always wonder why this place isn't constantly packed. Â I love it, every time we have friends from out-of-town come in, we come here. Â
The only downside to this place, is that around 10pm on the the weekends it turns into a danceclub. Â But...a lot of people seem to love it....I just prefer it to be my low-key local bar. Â Go visit-- I want them to be in business for a long time:)
This is by far our favorite place to eat. The staff are friendly, the wings are amazing and the drinks are awesome. Occasionally I am in the mood for a martini... and this is the place to go. They have at least 15 different martinis - Thin Mint is one that's delicious.
They have a burger challenge that 3 of my friends have sadly failed... one of the waitresses said that only 8 out of 20 people have won that challenge! Crazy but entertaining.
The best thing about this place are their wings. They have 20 different flavors but my favorite is the old bay wings. I try to make them at home and they are not the same. Their spicy barbecue, medium and ranch wings are also really good.
If you are looking for a relaxed place with a great atmosphere try Roosevelt's!
Ok - we went back on Friday & tried their wings & $4 Friday martinis. Â They have a Jerk dry-spiced wing that is very similar to Beer Belly's - but it's just not quite the same. Â Still it's very good. Â Their Sweet & Sweaty were pretty close to Beer Belly's wings as well. Â Again, very good.
I had their Blueberry & Thin Mint martinis (ugh, what a combo!). Â The Blueberry was very good & quite attractive, but it quickly became too fruity/sweet for me. Â I then tried the Thin Mint martini to wash away the blueberry taste. Â The Thin Mint is a thick, creamy green martini similar to a grasshopper. Â But I gotta tell ya, it sure tasted like a cold Thin Mint cookie! Â Damn good, if you're into that kind of drink. Â Hubby stuck to the Smithwick's on tap (yum!). Â We're still fans!
I had been to this location a number of times when it was "Beerbellies," aka the most disgustingly nasty dive/college bar for miles. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in here when it opened as Roosevelt's 21st! They did a huge renovation and cleaning up of this place. It looks great. Slightly upscale looking but not swanky or pretentious. Most importantly, it's totally clean looking now. I also believe it is non-smoking whereas Beerbellies allowed smoking.
The food is reasonably priced and comes in good sized portions. With a lot of the sandwiches you can get a side salad for free, which itself is huge. They have daily drink and food specials.
The only thing I didn't like? I got charged $8 for an Absolut vodka on the rocks. That's a bit excessive for a college/neighborhood bar.
I imagine this place gets pretty crazy after 10pm, but I'm too old to hang out with college kids so I don't know firsthand. They do have a DJ booth and two bars so it's got to get packed.
Roosevelt's 21st, appropriately named after the 21st Amendment, is the newly renovated bar that was formerly Beer Bellies. Â The folks here did a phenomenal job at restoring the building and gutting the once disgusting inside. Â It's now bright, open and CLEAN! Â There's a nice long bar to the left as you walk in and abundant tables and seating to the right. Â They maintained the outside tables which really are a major draw to the establishment. Â
They have a full bar with a great beer selection.  The food menu is very good.  There's nothing fancy here, but the food is solid pub grub.  We ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and a fat juicy burger and  both came with fries.  All inexpensive, all fattening and all delicious.
They also have free Wi-Fi available and that's just gravy to me. Â There's a raised DJ booth so I imagine this place can become pretty damn loud and crowded on certain nights. Â
I dig this place...a lot. Â It's a convenient local bar with a laid back attitude and they're totally unpretentious. Â Best of all, they're within stumbling distance from my home. Â What's not to like about that?!
