A friend and I ate here for lunch today and it was great. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Our waitress's name was Sarah and she did a very fine job.

I had the poutine, my friend had the "white trash" dog and we split the duck fat fries. The fries were super fresh and hot...well seasoned and tasty with fresh rosemary. The poutine was champion, although I'm feeling grossly full right now, and the waitress "commended" me for finishing it. Typically, I don't like truffle oil but the poutine fries seemed to be "truffle fries" and somehow the strong flavor complimented the meat/gravy and cheese. I will most likely be ordering this dish next time (maybe to share). I tried a bite of the "white trash" dog and again, I do not like hot dogs, but was really impressed. Perfectly cooked bacon with some slaw and a juicy beef sausage. The bun was also a noticeable standout.

The fact that there isn't any apparent wall art and the place and it's still welcoming says a lot. The brick, mirrors and single bar shelf stand alone in the narrow space, leaving people and food to stand out. Because of the small space, I don't think I would come back on a Friday or Saturday night, but the lunch crowd was perfect, and I look forward to returning.

Excellent drinks - among the best anywhere. Poutine was lick-off-the-plate fabulous. The hot dogs were creative and fun, though the novelty wore off by the end of it. Fun place to go with a group of friends for good booze and fun food.

    Mm-mmmm Senate.

It's struck me recently that Senate IS Cincinnati. If you think about it, all the things that make Senate great are the things that Cincinnati is known for.

A.) Sausage - When in Rome and all that. When you go to Senate, try a dog. They are whimsical, at the same time haute couture and knuckle-draggingly low.

B.) Booze - The drink list is awesome. There's always an interesting list of beers on tap and in the bottle, many of them from historic local brewing districts. The wine list is fantastic, I'm picky and can always find a reasonably priced glass of whatever I'm in the mood for. And the cocktails! Goodness gracious, they are so much fun. Look for bourbon-based cocktails. Ask the bartender what they recommend, because they are well-versed and won't steer you wrong.

C.) A little bit wacky - You can always find something out of left field on the menu. I'll recommend the Crispy Pig Tails. They are like BBQ ribs, but now with more vertebrae! Good story AND really delicious. On Fridays there's bacon fat french fries (in addition to the always available truffle fries and duck fat fries). There's usually an inventive vegetarian entree or two. And there is usually truffle or fois gras on something.

Other highlights: mussels charmoula, scallops, Senate burger.

I usually say the food is rich, but if I were going to die, please let this be the way.

My parents recently came to visit and our final night out, creme de la creme evening culminated with Senate. They LOVED it -- and it's always fun to introduce the uninitiated to poutine! Perfect evening. Perfect Cincinnati summation and OTR icon.

Best hot dogs Ive ever had in my life!  And what a cool place with a neat atmosphere!  Go OTR, keep up the nice work in this area!

Honestly I found the surface of Senate fantastic. We were greeted warmly, a table was found quickly though they were quite busy, and our waiter was all smiles. However ultimately we made the weekend-destroying choice of ordering their valentines oyster special. A lesson was learned never to order oysters in Ohio regardless of the restaurants repute. It was to be our engagement night and my now fiance spent most of it in front of the porcelain throne.  We will never return.

Best meal I have ever had in the Queen City.  The fact that it was a hot dog should not be taken as a slight at all.  This place is great.  I wish they would open in my town, it would make a killing.

I have been wanting to try the Senate since I moved to Cinci 8 yrs ago. I finally made it and am kicking myself for denying myself of this place!! I went to celebrate a friends birthday. On a Friday night, there was an hour wait, but was totally worth it! The hot dogs are cool. Don't get me wrong, but if you think this is just a fancy hot dog place, you are missing the bigger picture! The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was cool. I tried the poutine for dinner. Makes me salivate just thinking about it. Reminds me of being a kid and the parents putting gravy over fries. Who does that? Well, my parents & The Senate! My friends ate the mussels, falafel wrap and the Russel Brand tuna "hot dog" . OMG! I cannot wait to go back!

It was AWESOME!! We started with the poutine with a poached egg.  It was amazing!!  There was nothing about this appetizer we didn't like. Then we ordered the Trailer Park Dawg and the Patrick Swazy Dawg. Both were great but so totally different. I loved the BBQ Grippos on the Trailer Park and the bacon and poached egg on the Swazy were a perfect match!  We will return.

I can't be the only one who doesn't have stellar reviews of this place can I? I personally think it's overrated and kitschy. I get it, a gourmet hot dog place. But really 10 dollars for it? I think it would be successful being a hole in the wall joint with the same menu only cheaper and possibly include a side with the hot dog. Or I guess I would pay 10 dollars for it if it came with something.

I arrived right around 5:30 for happy hour after work. I arrived alone, and knew we were in a time crunch. There was no time to wait for a table so I decided to take a seat at the bar. I ordered an overpriced beer and my friends later arrived. Being on a time crunch, it took forever for the waiter to come back and take our food order! I tried so many times to get his attention and was ignored. And...as many reviewers have noted, this place isn't that big, it wasn't like they have this really large bar and standing room for crowds behind the people sitting.

I ordered the Lindsey Lohan hot dog and nothing else. Dear lord, did I just spend 10 dollars on that? A hotdog sliced in half with a light amount of goat cheese, and some arugula on top? Had to eat it with a fork and knife but the bread was so soggy that I ended up having to set most of it aside. I walked out of there paying almost 20 dollars for one beer and a soggy hot dog that I could have made at my house for 3 dollars. I'll never go back. I wanted so badly to like this place but I really don't see any value in it.

HOT DOG!  HOT DIGGITY DOG!  Check this place out --- love the new spin on the typical wiener.  These guys have got the wiener figured out in all sorts of ways - eh hemmm...  But for reals - the food is delish and totally inventive.  They even serve champagne which makes this girl extra happy.

Love the atmosphere and location.  Excellent food.  Drawbacks are that seating is tight and the place is so popular you usually have to wait to be seated.  The food is so good, its worth waiting for!  An excellent addition to the Gateway corridor.

My group of 4 came on a Saturday night. When we stepped into the restaurant, I really liked the vibe of the whole place. Seemed like a nice upscale pub and a bunch of people just casually chatting the night away. I could see it as a really good place for a first date.  Not too fancy, yet definitely swanky.  We were told by the attendant that the wait was about 10 minutes.  However, we were not seated for another 30 minutes. They do take reservations, so definitely take advantage of this if you are crunched for time.

When you look at the menu, it doesn't look like much at all. Just burgers and hotdogs, but man oh man is it delicious! We ordered the crispy pigtails and poutine for our appetizers. Delicious.  I ended up ordering the Senate burger which was just their house version of a cheeseburger.  I thought it was pretty good.  Also, they have a special dish of the day, and when I went it happened to be the Manti Te'o hotdog. My friend order this and when I took a bite, it was surprising how good it was. It was a hotdog with crunchy chips on top as well as a special meaty sauce. I would recommend this place!

Super cool atmosphere and friendly staff.  A friend and I stopped in on a week night so we didn't have to wait for a seat.  I've heard that on the weekends, it can get very busy.

Honestly I'm not really a big fan of hot dogs.  But I had to reconsider my order after noticing all the dogs being delivered to our neighboring table.  I'm so glad I did.  I tried the Hello Kitty (yeah it could have been because of the name).  I asked if they could skip the bacon on it (sorry, I don't eat pig & the dogs here are all beef) and when it was delivered to our table, I was very impressed.  DANG that's a good dog!

Who would have thought that hotdogs could get so fancy & good.. street food gone gourmet.  It's worth checking out.

Honestly Senate has only gotten better. The quality of food now more equitably matches the prices. This is THE restaurant to eat at on Friday/ Saturday night - and everyone knows it.

    My favorites here are the

    +duck fat fries
    +scallops
    +bottle of malbec
    +bacon & egg salad

I still have not tried the grilled peach salad, mostly because the scallops are so good that I cannot seem to decide to branch out too much here.

To me, I still think the hot dogs are gimmicky, and I have only once ever seem people order them. For most people this seems to be the identifying dish of the restaurant when it opened, but not any more.

There are several gluten free items on the menu (i'd recommend they add some indictor to the menu though)

    +grilled peach/ bacon&egg salad
    +creme brulee
    +green corn tamale
    +rib eye
    +scallops
    +poutine
+duck fat/ truffle fries (depending on sensitivity)

Overall I love this place. Even down to the the wallpaper in the bathroom.

The food is very good but not great.  Then again, it is Cincinnati so it might be considered great for Cincy. So for what it is and relative to other area options i believe 4 stars is a fair score. That said, we waited nearly 2 hours for hot dogs and burgers :|. I would go again but not wait anywhere close to that long for a table.

Had the daily special the "Jessie Ventura" dog in honor of my former governor. Unlike the real deal, the dog was interesting and tasty. The quality of the ingredients was great and worth the $10. I also loved the duck fat fries. Unlike most versions of these (super skinny), these were fairly thick. It had me suspicious since I rarely like thick fries, but these won me over. The faint duck taste was perfect. I could have eaten way more. I definitely  want to back to try more. Also very cool room, a little tight but fun.

My wife and I have been a few times. I am just now getting around to writing a review.

We have had practically everything on the menu. I will provide a few notes.

ORDER IT - Any of the dogs. Especially the "Dog of the night". You might ask, "Isn't it a bit crazy to spend $10+ on a hot dog". My answer is no. The depth of flavors on these dogs provides some of the best flavors in the city. Some of the best fine dining joints in the city have plates at are executed terribly in comparison. Sure, it's a hot dog, but its a perfect executed hot dog with amazing flavors and textures.

FRIES! The bacon fat fries on Fridays are the best. The regular duck fat fries are also superb. With that being said, STOP ORDERING THE TRUFFLE FRIES. Cincinnati is behind the bandwagon on this trend. Truffle fries do not contain real truffles. Frankly, I am tired of smelling them. Order if you love them, personally, I think they are culinary napalm.

The Beignet - second best dessert in OTR.

DON'T BOTHER - The Senate Burger. You can find a better burger at a better price. The burger patty looks pre-formed. The two times I have ordered it that meat was way over my medium request. If you are here - get a hot dog.

Pig Tails. I love pig tails. These are tiny and way overpriced for what you are getting. Big disappointment.

Any cocktail that isn't listed on the cocktail menu. Mostly due just to price. I have been over-charged twice for simple cocktails not listed on the cocktail menu.

"Beer of the night" Again. These are listed at "Market Price" and you will be overcharged every time. Best example, I paid $12 for a 10 ounce glass of Pumpking..... REALLY? Not appropriately priced at all. I have found this to be the case for almost every "Beer Special".

The entire wait staff is fantastic!

The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was that it was a bit pricey for my family of five ($90 for dinner).   Kids loved being able to try the gourmet hot dogs - Trailer Park ended up being their favorite (but hold the cole slaw).   We also tried both the truffle fries and duck fat fries - the latter being our favorite.   I'd def go back but likely just me and hubby due to the prices plus smaller dining area.

The food is awesome! can't go wrong with 90 percent of the menu.  This place is pretty much a minor sensation in the midwest, a definite must try if you are here for a weekend.  The only thing that sucks is the narrow space and the possible long waits, luckily there are plenty of bars near it to go kill some time.  Just get here and try EVERYTHING!

Met a Friend for lunch today, and I am still in love with every second of Senate.  I love the simplicity of the decor, which almost makes you feel like you aren't even in Cincinnati (not that I don't want to be!), I love the gourmet street food menu (aka- glamorized hot dogs) with the sophistication of offering mussels, good wine, and other fine things at a reasonable price.

The Staff is awesome, and always welcoming. While sometimes the wait is obnoxious, there is a reason, and this is now typical in OTR.  I am usually up for whatever the 'dog of the day' is, but the Trailer Park is my favorite.  All beef dog on a brioche bun with coleslaw, bacon, and grippos chips. mmm mmm mm. With any of the dogs and fries, you don't typically need an appetizer but the poutine (french fries and shortribs - why wouldn't you have this?) is amazeballs. If you happen to stop in on a Friday, do yourself a favor and get the Bacon Fat Fries, which are only offered on...Friday.

YaY Claps to Senate...always doing it yummy.

    1)  The hot dogs are really good here.  But, how hard is it to cook a hot dog?  You can get one at the hot dog stand at 9th and Sycamore and save about $6 and it's just as good.  But still, I like the dogs and you can get in and out of Senate without going completely broke.

    2)  Don't order oysters at a hot dog restaurant.  They were not good regardless of where the waiter said they were flown in from.  And, why would you serve oysters if you don't have Tabasco sauce?  And, why would a restaurant not have Tabasco sauce on hand?

    3)  This place is so narrow that you WILL run into people.  And, the people are snooty enough to not like to be run into.

    4)  The male host at the door last night was totally rude.  Management needs to train him to comb his hair, smile, say please and thank you, and appreciate the customer's business.

    5)  Go early or go late unless you want to walk around Over the Rhine for a couple of hours until they call you.  Don't plan to hang at the bar on a first come first serve basis like most restaurants.  The rude host will yell at you.

Just making my rounds on Vine St. Wow! Senate was uh mazing!

So to start, Senate is a small place and be prepared to wait a bit but believe me it is worth it! The atmosphere was nice and was a mix of well dressed individuals but also those that came as they were.

Started off with a couple of appetizers, the crispy pig tails and the poutine. Save your money on the crispy pig tails but definitely order the poutine. Talk about comfort ultimate food! Fries..gravy...cheese curds and shortrib and we added the egg. Wow. It is plenty to share but I recommend not since it so delicious!

All of us ordered different hot dogs and I believe they have a special dog every night. I ordered the Hello Kitty 2.0 and I highly recommend it. Not overkill on the wasabi but just the right amount. We also go both the duck fat fries and truffle fries and while they were good, we had our fill of fries with the poutine.

Overall, great place and we will definitely be back!!

Fabulous restaurant. The smaller size and brick walls give it a really cool vibe. I went on a Friday for lunch with three guys and felt very comfortable. Would equally feel good as a date spot. Great regional beer choices. I loved the food. The bacon fries were some of the best fries I've ever had

I really really really like this place.  Until a couple of months ago, I had only been there once, and was really impressed. My office recently moved, and now I visit this place more often for lunch, and I'm always pleased when I go there.

They have a very unique selection of hot dogs at Senate.  However, I suggest that every time you go in there, you ask what the Dog of the Day is.  I've been there many times, and I've never seen them repeat a Dog of the Day - and they are usually the best option they have.  If you don't get that, you have to try either the Lindsey Lohan or the Hello Kitty 2.0.  Also, you have to try the truffle fries - I have to say, hands down, that these fries are the best I've had in the whole city!! (so far)

    A few critiques:
    - It's a small place, and gets a little crowded if you are there on a Friday evening.  I frequent Senate for Lunch, and I go around 1:30 or 1:45. If you go at that time, it's usually tame since they close at 2:00 pm and re-open later for dinner, but don't get there any later if you eat lunch or you won't be able to order.
    - It's a little pricy for what it is - it runs you about $8 to $12 for a hot dog (depending on the dog of the day).  Some do come with braised ribs which accounts for some of the price.
    - They aren't the quickest to getting your check at the end of the meal. It might be because I'm there right as they close up for lunch, but I don't know.  However, the guy that's usually running the place for lunch has made it a point to get to know me - we are on a first name basis now - very friendly guy.

Fun, new, hip atmosphere!  When this place opened, it was a welcome breath of fresh air to OTR.  The seating area is small, but I've been with my husband and I've been with all my girlfriends, and always felt comfortable.

They have an vast drink menu, something for everyone.  My favorite is the Kitten Fizz w/ St Germain, Tito's handmade vodka, simple syrup, raspberries & soda, yum!

The menu is so fun to mix and match.  Who doesn't like hot dogs and french fries?  Well these are not ordinary hot dogs and french fries, they are elevated to the next level times 10.  These are Haute Dogs for adults.  The Lindsey Lohan is my favorite, made with an all beef dog, goat cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, arugula & balsamic.  It's a little bit of a mess like her, but well worth it.  My husband's favorite is the Trailer Park, made with a bacon wrapped beef hot dog, American cheese, coleslaw, crushed grippos &brioche bun.  Also messy, but well worth it.

My all time favorite dish on the whole menu is the Poutine, french fries w/ local cheese curds, braised short rib & gravy, and you can even add an egg on top.  It's so good you can't stop eating it.  Although if this does not interest you, the duck fat french fries or the truffle fries are the bomb.  I think I prefer the truffle fries, even though they are very similar.  The aioli is to die for, you will be wiping the cup with your finger to get the remains, if you run out of fries first.

They have solid entrees also, if you can get past the nostalgia of hot dogs and french fries first.  One that stands in my mind is Booty & Belly, made with bourbon braised pork butt & belly, apple-celery root slaw, tempura onion rings & wildflower honey BBQ sauce.  Everything complimented each other.   I also had a Pork Belly Grilled Cheese once, that I haven't saw on the menu in a while, that they need to bring back.  It was fall apart pork belly, with fontina, avocado & caramelized onions.  I sadly split it with a friend, but that's really the best way to do their menu, order one of everything amongst a large group of friends, so you can have a little of everything.  If you have room for anything anything else, you need to indulge in the warm pretzel beignets & caramel marscarpone.  They are like little pretzely doughnuts, covered in cinnamon sugar, that you dip in caramel marscarpone, wow.

So obviously the food is awesome, but the service is awesome as well.  From the hostess who can take your cell number while your waiting, and you can grab a drink at the Lackman; to bartenders who look the funky retro part; to the wait staff that are on top of your every need.  I even noticed the GM floating around, making sure everything is perfect.

I'm confused. Why are people spending (upwards of) $12 for a freaking hot dog?

This place isn't bad. I'm sure the servers are fine. It's always clean and well lit. My husband and I never go here though because the hot dogs aren't special enough to be this expensive.

Our suggestion: Put your name in at Bakersfield and get drinks at Senate while you wait.

There is much to say about this little place with so many seats crammed into one little space. Their street food is off the wall. It may be hot dogs, but everything from the brioche buns to the presentation is executed well. I've had several things there, the mussels in the saffron broth, the poutine, the hello kitty dog, the duck AND truffle fries, and the booty sandwich.. There's no getting around having to tell you this, but if you're going there, you better be willing to off your gluten-free diet. You go there to have rich luxurious food that you could potentially eat from a food cart on the street,

The bar is something I need to review separately. The beer selction is on par. If you don't like anything other than Budlight, well then.. that sucks. I really go for their craft cocktails. I had one recently called the Ichobod Crane: can you imagine what's in it? Pumpkn butter, bourbon ale, bourbon, and an apple cider ice cube. It's a whopping $10 a cocktail, but took me a good 40 minutes to drink. Mixologist specialist Mike can take credit for this one. The bartenders, while knowing their $hit, are also there tp put on a show.  They dress to the nines and don't spill a drop on their ties.

Besides the bartenders and servers, I have to give credit to the GM. He watched as Mike made me a drink (upon my request) with a raw egg. Assuming I didn't like it, he comped the drink automatically.. except that I finished the whole drink and rather enjoyed it. I love the humor.  The hosts do a great job. I'm not really sure how they are able to call people to let them know their tables are ready when the restaurant is as loud as it is.

I have one complaint. If a people sitting in the tables in the aisles take too long to get out the door, you betcha that hot dogs being delivered may get cold. So be aware!

Also, a shout out to Danny Wright- you're doing great things for this neighborhood!!

Went to Senate after another Reds victory, and man do I love what they are doing in OTR!  We arrived around midnight, found a parking spot a couple of blocks away and only somewhat feared for my life until I saw a police car parked nearby.  The place was hopping with only 1 table open.  I got the Lindsay Lohan gourmet hotdog, the duck fat fries and a Chimay Tripel to drink.  The food was outstanding, and I would have given this joint 5 Stars if it weren't for the expense.  $24 before tax and tip was pretty darn expensive.

However, the hotdog was big, had applewood smoked bacon and goat cheese on it, and it was seriously good!  The duck fat fries exploded with flavor and the sauce added greatly to them.

Just another great place to go in an area that is turning out to be one of my favorite places in the Queen City.

Senate is as good as it gets in Cincinnati! So good in fact, that you'll forget you're in Cincinnati!!!

EVERYTHING, I've tried has been spot-on, perfect! The drinks, the freakin' to-die-for truffle fries, and those dogs! Nobody does to the "hot dog" what Senate does!  The Lindsay Lohan and the "dog of the day" are sure to please.

All of that, with consistently good service & the hippest atmosphere in town, cements Senate on my "top 5 restaurants in Cincinnati" list, forsure!

Try the poutine, it is amazing!  I have been to Senate about a million times,  and I never eat there without having some poutine.  The muscles, the burgers, and their new sandwich "booty and belly" is out of this world!
The service is good, not amazing, but I've never had any complaints.  Senate's bartenders are always fun, and well educated on cocktails.
I think my only complaint is the fact that they don't take reservations.  I don't mind going and waiting when we have a small party, but it definitely isn't the place to go with more than 4 or 5 people.  Which is probably best anyway because it's such a small restaurant.

In conclusion, the food in great, the service is good, and waiting for a table is... totally worth it.

It's been a long time since my last visit to Senate. They're always at Taste of the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals for the Freestore Foodbank and their food is always, always incredible. I stopped by last week for dinner with my parents and brother.

Having had the Duck Fat fries before I decided to go with the Truffle fries. Super good. I got the Lindsay Lohan. It was really good. It had a little too much goat cheese, but  I got over it.  It's practically topped with a salad- which made it very messy to eat. Everything I ordered was fantastic and my family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well.

Like every other restaurant in the area on Vine St., it is cramped. My mother complained a few times to me about other diners and some of the staff hitting the back of her chair. One of those things you just have to learn to deal with.

This place is the shit.  On my first visit, I had the Croque Madame (beef dog, ham, and poached egg), and it was amazingly sinful.  I could feel my arteries hardening as I stared at it, and I flippin' loved every second of it.  When Senate was first suggested to me, I was like "Hot dogs? ....Really?" but I was completely misguided.  This is definitely a place to check out.  Very different, very delicious.

Check out their daily special dog as well!

Who could have imagined that a hot dog and poutine could be this good. The poached egg on the hot dog was great!

    I strongly recommend this place!

    I'll shut up now.

    DO:
-Order a bunch of dishes and SHARE.
-Other than the obvious hotdogs, duck fat fries.

    DON'T:
-Expect the hotdog to BLOW your mind. Go with a neutral mindset.

    PARKING:
    -Street parking.
-Paid lots to the right of building.
-I would suggest looking for free street parking on 12th, 13th and 14th between Race and Vine.

I love the decor. I think I love the food. But I can't help but to notice the gentrification process taking over southern parts of OTR -- it's loud and clear. Oh right, this is Yelp. I'll shut up now.

I feel like if you need to take an out-of-towner to a spot in Over-the-Rhine, this would be the place to do it. It captures the essence of OTR completely. It's got the rising number of people wanting to get in, the quality of product being served, and the swag of the developing OTR community.

Senate is hard to get into. It is one of those places that when they say two hour wait, they mean two hour wait. This produces a dilemma because the food is worth the wait, I know that, but it may scare away first timers. The best thing to do if you want to eat here is either come right at open or put you name in and go sit somewhere around town for a drink while you wait (I recommend Lavomatic, they are the biggest of the places around and are rarely filled to capacity).

When the hostess calls you and says that your table (or bar area) is ready it is a feeling like no other. Since they can seat so few you really should enjoy your experience here if you get the chance. And it is that exactly, an experience.

The trending food item here and rightfully so is the Poutine. If you don't start with an order of Poutine at Senate then you are doing it wrong. That's not just me saying this. It's a fact (you must also get the poached egg on top). After the poutine, it is fair game at what you order. They are known for their hot dogs and they are always interestingly thought out. These aren't you ballpark hot dogs either, although at one point I think they did serve a hot dog called "ballpark" but I digress. Other dogs include things like the Trailer Park which they describe as "bacon wrapped beef hotdog, american cheese, coleslaw, crushed grippos & brioche bun". This is the one that I jumped at and ordered and thank god I did because YUM! Who would have thought that you could make a hot dog so good? Other neat concoctions include the Lindsay Lohan, Hello Kitty 2.0, and Korean (yes, sporting kimchi).

Besides the Hot Dogs and Poutine they have a lot of other choices. They have plates that include scallops and rib-eye and other starters with some neat salad options, mussels, and even crispy pig-tails.

The prices are reasonable considering the quality ingredients being used. Normally you wouldn't think 9-10 dollars for a hot dog is considered reasonable but when you get braised short rib on you dog, you entered a whole nother' level.

While the food, atmosphere, and execution of Senate is a five star experience with no questions needed, the wait unfortunately had to drive it down 1 star. I know this is only a product of their popularity and awesomeness, but I have to do it. Maybe one day they will move into a bigger building or open up a sister store, but until then 4 stars (really honestly 4 and 1/2) is nothing to be ashamed of.

When the waiter first told me that the Hotdog of the Day was the Wilmer Valderrama, I had my doubts. That's a sketch ass dude and I had no interest in a sketch ass dog.

But, based on my surroundings I felt that there was no way this could be a sketch ass place.

My stemware was lovely, my Savignon Blanc perfectly chilled, plenty of natural light in the clean and modern space, a completely professional and polite waiter...I was in good hands here. We went ahead and ordered some nibbles, splitting a dozen raw oysters and some duck fat fries.

The oysters were fresh and meaty, the duck fat fries thick and crispy. I was such a happy camper and it was the perfect pick me up leading up to a pedal wagon bar crawl.

Definitely my favorite dining experience during my first visit to Cincinnati!
