Oops, I wrote this on my cell and forgot to post it from my laptop. Hope the mobile app has improved since this summer when this was originally written!

Being Korean, I know a thing or two about the food. I was excited to spot Seoul Grill at the First Friday Food Truck event on a past weekend at Old National Centre. Initially I passed it up since I had Korean food the other day but my bf questioned how could I not try Korean food (since well...I'm Korean). Needless to say, I was a bit skeptical seeing American girls making the food but still wanted to give it a chance. As I eagerly awaited my first food truck meal, my excitement quickly left after seeing my meager portion of bulgogi (korean style bbq beef). I was still hopeful though. Maybe it's so delicious I'll only need a little to satisfy me?? Ah, my optimism went unrewarded. Dry, tough, and bland. Now Korean bbq isn't anything like the American version but none of those words describe what good bulgogi is. It was served with white rice and side of kimchi and radish (neither tasted fresh), and I can honestly say the rice was the best thing on my plate which isn't hard to mess up when you're using electric rice cookers. And it was overpriced ($8) given the portion. Hopefully, they'll improve their recipe and quality or they may have some competition when I start dishing out my food from my little sedan. Complete fail.

Had some eats from this amazing truck while at GenCon 2012. It was some of the best food I had while in Indy. The Korrito was absolutely delicious and I wish that I had the foresight to have ordered another since it was so good and could have definitely put away another.

My only issue was the wait. It took nearly 30 minutes to get my food. But it was worth it.

    I hope they're at GenCon in 2013!

I love authentic korean food, so was extremely excited to drive by and see Seoul Grill KOREAN truck. I was a little disappointed to see non Asian people in the food truck cooking my Korean pod. A whole potato on a stick...? Not so Korean. Apparently it is half Mexican half Korean? The kim chi is not bad, and everything tasted decent. Just did not satisfy any Korean craving and with the words Seoul, grill, Korean, and BBQ I was expecting so much more!  If you want a bunch of Asian ingredients mixed together you will love this place.

I have never had food truck food before, but I think this was a good choice for my first time. And why didn't I think of Korean tacos before? Genius idea! The dae ji gogi was better than the bul gogi, but we enjoyed them both. Kimchi was okay, but then again, I just really miss my mom's kimchi (I miss her & her cooking *sniffle*). The spiral-cut potato was interesting. I will have to try it again since SOMEONE gobbled most of it up.  :|

Just had my first meal here after my partner has eaten there at least a dozen times, sending me drool-worthy pictures of his feast each time. Why did I wait so long?! The fusion of Korean and Mexican cuisines is both visually and culinarily pleasing. The spicy pork tacos were tender and juicy with a serious kick of spice from the Sriracha sauce and the perfect counterbalance of herbs and cabbage. Every entree comes with Kim chi or a spiral potato. Perhaps I'm biased because I'm not the biggest Kim chi fan, but the potato is the way to go. Perfectly crisp and lightly salted, it too has a line of Sriracha drizzled over the top for a stunning look and a delicious flavor combination. I will be returning to Seoul Grill often so that I can try the quesadilla and Korito (Korean burrito). Another great food truck addition to the burgeoning scene in Indy!

Had the Korean tacos, while my friend sampled the kimchee. Everything was fresh and very flavor-filled. Looking forward to the next time they stop in the Lawrence area.

Food trucks are not exactly common in the mid-west, and even more uncommon is an Asian twist on the food. Seoul Grill offers a limited menu, mixing Korean seasonings and ingredients with Mexican presentation and preparation.

Unfortunately, they were sold out of korritos by the time I arrived, but the tacos, potato twist, and kimchi did not disappoint (nb: the kimchi is spicier than most I've had, and less sour). Korean food can be quite spicy (kimchi is generally not, unlike the other reviewer's expectation), but the amount of heat was very tolerable (the red paste, gochujang, is used sparingly). Best of all, everything was prepared fresh and took just a few minutes for my order to be filled (when there was no line).

Definitely a worthy stop for the omnivore with a sense of adventure.

Holy spiral-cut potato on a stick!

No, really- a whole potato spiral cut on a stick, fried, and drizzled with hot red pepper sauce.- You should be excited right now, and if you aren't- I don't really care. I'm not sure I can be your friend if you aren't excited about a whole potato spiral cut on a stick, fried, and drizzled with hot red pepper sauce.

That's not even the main event.- Seoul Grill also makes delicious Korean-style tacos and burritos. The burritos come with kimchi fried rice- perhaps the most exciting rice ever created. The burritos (or Korritos) and the tacos come with your choice of Bulgogi (Korean Marinated Ribeye) or Daegi-gogi (Korean Spicy Pork). To my great misfortune they had just ran out of the Daegi-gogi when we found them at Triton Brewing Co. Our food came with a side of kimchi. It was good, but definitely not anything special on its own. It could have been much spicier. Isn't kimchi supposed to melt my face off? I have to go back to try the kimchi quesadillas though. They had pictures of all the food they were serving that day in the window of the truck, and the image of the kimchi quesadillas haunts me.

The owners/operators were very friendly and brought our food to us while we ordered our beers.

I will definitely have to hunt this truck down in the future.
