I was really quite impressed with this place. Â I always give my San Diego friends crap for thinking they have the best craft beer scene in the country (Duh.... Portland is pretty hard to beat). Â HOWEVER. Â This is the place to go to experience a lot of San Diego's tasty brews. Â There are plenty of them on tap here. Â It would take many visits to try them all. Â I like the fact that the beers are listed with all the important info (type, ABV, etc). Â The S'mores beer may have been my favorite on this particular visit. Â The only teeny tiny issue I had was that I found it difficult to read the board with all the different colors of chalk and different types of handwritting. Â I should probably just blame that on my aging eyes.
I'll definitely come back here next time I'm in San Diego in order to chill with friends over a cold brew.
Paul C. initiated a gathering of hungover degenerates to meet here on some day after a night of debauchery - which makes me happy he's back on Facebook (Paul). Â It was just he and I at first, almost literally. Â There were two guys sitting at the bar and possibly another person, then the two bartenders and the food wench (sorry, she's not a wench, I just mean Small Bar is the kind of place pirates would come to eat and there would be food wenches). Â The girl who takes the food orders is very pleasant!
Annnyywaaayyyy, Paul and I took some time to sit in awkward silence then decided to order. Â Shortly soon thereafter the others came and it was time to seriously kill that hangover by having hair of the dog, Clifford style (big red dog).
Guess what they did. Â Oh yes they didddddd it.
I wish I could remember the bartenderess's name but she was a blonde on the shorter side of height. Â What did she do? Â She made me The Alaskan Polar Bear Heater! Â What is that?! Come on, brush up on your 1960s pop culture.
<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D-jfvHBFRk9Q&s=f1adc6cf5d51665c0cccda4530b09a3946df2fe5180785d01b2d96a25f9c43b3" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/w…</a>
That's what she made me! Â It was decent and probably would take a few stabs to perfect the mixture of the flavors, but it wasn't absolutely dreadful like the i
A bar where business is slow enough and the bartenders are approachable enough to make me that drink is my kind of place.
You've got your breakfast items, you've got your lunch items, you've got what's been touted as one of the best Blood Mary's in San Diego (don't drink them, hate tomatoes, don't know), you've got your relatively reasonable prices and what else? Â One more important detail... the beer! Â Huh-looooo the beer, if you drink beer, is off the hook. Â I mean, come on, under the wing of the Hamilton's folks? Â
They sure know what they're doing.
Just moved to University Heights and small bar is awesome. Great beer selection. Great mule selection (moscow mule my favorite so far). No surprises. Small sized place, Small Bar for the name. Definitely a neighborhood spot which feels great and will definitely become a regular spot to hang out at.
Review Source:This is my favorite place to get a margarita...period. Bartender John (Jon?) is the master. The problem is that hipsters ruin everything that is god and holy, and they are starting to take their toll on Small Bar. The smoking area out front is starting to take over the smell inside, so I would suggest the owners get rid of that...and maybe start having a maximum capacity rule...
Review Source:I've been to Small Bar numerous times. Like the name says, it's a pretty small bar but the menu is extensive and the staff are pretty awesome. I don't know any other place they would have moscow mules and a pineapple beer. The mules are delicious but a bit on the strong ginger-side which I love but it's not for everyone. They also ran out of copper cups by the time we ordered :( Â When I went they have three unique beers that the group decided to try. As aforementioned, the pineapple beer was delicious but it was more of a pineapple cider...but in any case delicious! I'll definitely getting it again. We also tried the banana bread beer. You can definitely smell the banana but didn't have the strong banana taste as a I expected. The last unique beer we tried was the s'mores stout. You can definitely taste the chocolate but not so much the marshmallow. Â I heard their brunch is really good...I'm going to have to try it! I definitely recommend this place to any beer connoisseur or a moscow mule lover!
Review Source:I've been to this bar a few times and have always enjoyed myself. Happy Hour is a pretty good deal, with $1 off all craft cocktails, which are moderately priced to begin with. The best thing about Small Bar, though, is the crowd. Most of the people hanging out here live or work in the area and as a consequence it really has that local vibe going on. It seems like everybody knows one another and they're all so friendly! I wish they had servers who came to your table, because you have to order drinks at the bar or food from the kitchen in back, but it's still so homey and casual that I could easily make it a regular haunt.
Review Source:Probably the most appropriately named bar in San Diego, but it never feels overly crowded to me. Even when it is packed beyond belief, the customers are typically friendly and find a way to give each other a little extra space. A true neighborhood hang.
The beer selection is out of this world but that is to be expected since the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. They constantly have the hard to find brews that other bars around town aren't able to lock down so call ahead to see what they have at any given moment. There are some constants on the list but go in with an open mind and trust the person pouring - they typically will not steer you wrong!
For me the bloody mary is where it's at! Loaded with everything that you can imagine, it is prepared with a strong dose of TLC. I always try but can never seem to save the strip of bacon for last while the shrimp is usually the first to go. Pair that bloody with one of their solid brunch items, bring your pooch and post up on the patio while watching the characters of the neighborhood pass by. Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me!
This is a dark, funky bar to check out for its wonderful beer selection. I've never been for brunch, but I hear that's when this hotspot really shines.
The bartenders are a little grumpier than most, but it's probably because they haven't seen the sunlight in a few hours. It is very dark in here, to the point where I thought I may have still been wearing my sunglasses. Nope! Perhaps the owner's aversion to light makes the beer taste better?
Did not order food here. Â They have a great cocktail list, and more importantly, a great bourbon selection. Â
Yea, their beer list is pretty good (you'd expect that from a Blair establishment), but I come here for bourbon (on recommendation from a good friend).
The bartender, Arlette is awesome. Â On weekends, say hi to Adam for me :)
This place is more awesome if it's not busy though. Â It has a really nice vibe. Â Plus, there's El Zarape next door. Â Love El Zarape.
Quite Possibly my new favorite brunch.
$15 gets you brunch and a drink. I tried a cheddar, sausage, and tomato omelette with bleu cheese potatoes. Really good.
Having never tried a bloody Mary, i got the bloody mary. It was impressive. Bacon shrimp olives carrot celery mushroom.
Everyone at my table had trouble deciding what to get but was very satisfied in the end.
If you're a first timer, your order and pay at the kitchen, give your drink receipt to the bartender. Normally you have to get the drink yourself. But the food is brought out to you.
Absolutely love this neighborhood bar.
The beer selection is always phenomenal. What most people don't pay attention to is the incredible collection of spirits they have as well, especially whiskey, bourbon and scotches.
Prices are right, service is good. The vibe in the place is cool too. What's not to love?
The boyfriend brought me here last night because I wanted a celebratory drink to kick off my spring break. I forgot what my drink was called because my bf ordered for me at the bar but I told him I wanted something pineappley and he came back with a pink tequila cocktail with chili pepper flakes around the rim, close enough I guess, haha.
I also ordered a basket of fries and fried pickles. Don't judge me. The fries were shoestring style and served with lemon aioli, which I actually thought paired better with the fried pickles. The fried pickles were excellent! They arrived hot, with a crunchy exterior and tangy pickles inside - yum!
The bar is as the name suggests, pretty small with a few tables in the outside patio and limited seating inside - it fills up fast! I came here once before my visit last night and actually really enjoyed the beer selection here. I believe it was at this bar that I had my first sip of banana bread beer. Cool local spot to meet up with friends or enjoy happy hour (every day until 8pm - sweet!)
When it's not crowded, small bar is great. Love the decor, the bartenders, the beer selection AND the food!
However, Â it's only not crowded before 6pm every day :|
After 6pm, it gets pretty loud  ....BUT, hey it's called small bar, expecting them to make the place bigger to fit the crowd is well ...stupid.
Review 100!
3.5 stars. Though Small Bar has zero difficulty attracting patrons, I must say the curb appeal is kinda lacking, kinda creepy. Â Once inside, all is well, just another dive bar (and I say that endearingly).
Once again, I didn't take my spectacles inside with me, so I had no idea what was on tap. I asked the bartender to serve me an IPA that "I've probably never had before" and without hesitation he poured me a Beechwood Melrose and that was a winner.
My neighbor (and new friend) Charlie was enjoying some awesome looking Fish and Chips; I opted instead for the Artisan Chicken Sandwich, served on herbed roll with provolone and onions so deliciously caramelized, they were black.
For dessert I sampled Campfire, all s'mores-tasting goodness, but I went for the big, potent, over the top Black Racer, a jet black IPA. Â
A broad mix of tunes playing...fun afternoon spent on my day off.
For a bar with a focus on microbrews, Small Bar has an original food menu with unique options I'd expect from a much trendier venue. Â It's beer selection is typical of the specialty brew scene in San Diego, and the comprehensive menu is written on a chalk board above the bar. Â When the kegs are tapped, the bartender climbs up, erases the name, and replaces it with the next new beer. Â Prices have increased over the past few years, characteristic of the beer market in SD as a whole, but remains within reason for most selections. Â Still, the days of good beer being cheap are long gone in places like Small Bar. Â We can still reminisce.
The mac and cheese burger hit the spot for me. Â It was quite the meal, very heavy and rich, and came with a side of fries. Â Food is ordered directly at the kitchen door rather than at the bar or table service. Â Darn good.
If you're really into beer this is your place. It's almost like a library and may take you some time to figure out what you want especially if you're a beer newbie like myself. You're staring at this chalk board of just lists of stuff to drink. It's great. They list the name and the ABV%. Some of the beer changes depending on the seasons, etc. I can't list them specifically but you have some of your regulars on tap.
The venue itself really rings true to its name. It makes me think of a square room and there can be a wait for the single restroom. I have to say though if you happen to order shots expect double shots. Yeah, apparently, they only serve you doubles!! And it's cheap!!! My gawd, if your mission for the night is to get pretty sloshed and to eat some scallop burritos over at El Zarape, this is the place to get the job done right! We ordered four shots of grey goose chilled or as we call it flying geese. Rough. My liver was aching at this point.
I can't rate the food since I didn't order any but next time going to try!
Brunch: come for the food, stay for the beer, and your wallet (and tummy) will thank you later.
I recommend the Lil' Soul or the steak & eggs. Both were amazing. All components of each dish were beyond the ordinary.
All of this and an early morning drink at an awesome price. Go. This weekend.
AWESOME selection of beer. Ask for a taster if you can't decide. Friendly and helpful staff. The bartender recognized me from my lunch at Monkey Paw (their other bar downtown) and gave me 10% off. Good food. Love the beer mac n' cheese. Attracts friendly and interesting people. Also part of the SD Drink about on the 3rd Wednesday of each month:

If you've never been on it, don't miss it.
I ended up at small bar after a long day of Santa Con. Yes i was dressed up as a santa, no it was only me and my friend dressed up that way.  It ended up only being me after my friend went home with some girl. I ended up at the bar drinking a beer by myself in a santa  costume.  It took me a day or so to figure out what that girl sitting next to me though was so funny.
Over all small bar is a great place. The food is amazing. Try the bacon mac and chess burger. I tried it and now no other burger will ever compare. Â I tell every one about it.
I think it's time to let the Yelp world know about 3 badass women and myself have this intense and sacred ritual where every Thursday, after work we have delicious craft beers and dinner. We recently started calling ourselves: Thursday Night Lady Beer Crew, for lack of original names.
Small Bar has been a frequent destination of the Thursday Night Beer Lady Crew for many many reasons.
2 of us prefer IPAs
1 of us likes Witbier
Another one is in between and likes to keep her options open.
How do we do this? We come to Small Bar for their extensive beer selection and delicious pub food.
I have tried almost everything in the menu and I highly recommend others to keep on coming and do the same. Try something new until you've tried 'em all!
I think I have fallen in love with their cheesesteak sammy. A perfect blend of meat an cheese with some onions and I believe bell peppers all cradled by a delicious soft roll.
Last night I got to try their battered fish sammy and it's like an upgrade form your traditional fish and chips since you got the fish, the sauce, lettuce, red onion in between two savory soft slices of focaccia bread. For $1 you can substitute your regular shoestring fries for sweet potato fries. If you are feeling a bit more dangerous I recommend the liars club fuego steak melt, which is a steak melt sandwich with serrano and jalapeño peppers, not for the faint of stomachs.
If you are feeling traditional go with the Hammies burger, sliders, fish and chips and share some fried pickles with friends or the stranger next to you on their long picnic tables.
My vegan amiga gets to enjoy their soy potato taquitos so everybody gets something. Thanks for thinking of the vegans!
There's always a catch to amazing food and drink options, it is called Small Bar (or how our Lady Beer Crew affectionately refers to as "El Pequeño Bar") and there is only ONE restroom for everybody. ERRR-body. It can get pretty ugly when it's packed.
Small Bar, you have successfully satisfied the needs of the ladies of our crew. Tip of my hat.
Cute little situation going on in this bar. Sis and I stopped in for lunch so I could use my Google deal. The bartender lady was cool and my sister and I were both happy with our drink choices, per her recommendations. Sis got some Mule and I got the Liefmans Goudenband which was delicious, for a beer. Yeah, I'm not a beer person...but it was great.
For food Sis got the sliders and I got the fish & chips...both were nom noms! The fries were pretty perfect and we both left full and happy (tipsy?).
I really like Small Bar. Â The first time I went, I had the Hamilton Burger, which included all of my favorite things: bacon, avocado, cheese, and caramelized onions. Â (My boyfriend said it should be called the "Stefanie Burger." Â Ha!) Â It was really freaking good. Â I had regular fries; they're just shoe-string fries, but they are really good. Â
The second time I went, I had the chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. Â The sandwich was really good, but the fries were cold when they came out. Â It was just me and my friend and two other customers there (it was a week day around noon), so I am unsure what could have caused them to be cold. Â Despite the cold fries this one time, I highly recommend stopping in. Â
The beer selection is pretty good, and they have a full bar. Â I've heard this place can get pretty packed, but the first time I went, it was a Friday around 7, and it was no problem getting a table. Â And as mentioned before, the second time I went, it was in the middle of the day during the middle of the week.
Went here for breakfast with a group and was able to snag a table inside. The ordering of breakfast confused me a little. I didn't know one would have to go to the window, order, and then get a drink at the bar. In the morning or indeed most of any weekend day I take a LONG time to wake up, so maybe just me?
Anyway, the breakfasts seem expensive for what they are but they do include a drink including their insane bloody mary. I think that thing is a meal in itself! If you are ok with shrimp and want to have your mind blown I say go ahead and order that thing! I mean check out the bacon strips!!!
I shared a plate of soy chorizo eggs and I wasn't impressed. But I should count myself lucky to even have the option of ordering anything soy.
My glass of champ was drinkable and large so go team!
In the end, they lost an additional star for the really long wait before we got our food. It seriously took over 30 mins for 2 plates of the same order!
My friend took me here because she knows how much I love Bloody Marys! When we first walked in we had to wait by this wooden barrel in order to be seated. They take your order before you sit down. There is also a tip jar on the barrel typically don't tip until I see how the service will be so we sat down.
I ordered the Small Bar Bloody Mary Superior to have while waiting for my meal. The servers don't bring the drinks to you so you would have to fetch them at the bar. The drink is more on the salty than spicy side so I would suggest also ordering a water while you are up there. I wouldn't wait to ask the server because once they drop off the food they don't even check on you. I remember seeing a saying on the menu that says something like "We don't expect tips because we are not A holes". I was glad because the service is close to non existent.
The Bloody Mary looked pretty amazing with a tower of goodies shoved into the drink. There was celery, bacon, mushroom, cherry tomato, green olive, Â pepperchini, Â baby onions (my favorite) and a shrimp! I love when places do this! The taste of it was really salty so I couldn't bring myself to eat the bacon. I like my drink to be on the spicy and zingy side. The best one I've had was at PJ Clarke's in Vegas. I think the Bloody Mary Superior would taste better if they scaled back on the salt.
I ordered the Lil Soul which is a piece of boneless chicken breast fried in light breading and buttermilk . It supposed to come with gravy but I'm not really a gravy person so I told them to hold the gravy. I thought there would be enough orange blossom honey butter for the waffles and chicken but I was wrong. The orange blossom honey butter was the consistency of Vicks vapor rub. It tasted good but there was a small amount. I knew I should have just ordered the gravy on the side! Â The waffles were fresh and soft.
The Small Bar had nice music playing in the background and it's a chill place to hang out with friends for brunch.
Gotta love a 'small bar' that serves that many great beers!
Had some gooood red ales, at decent prices.
It has a great grungy feeling that is perfect for the hipster 'dive'
It is a little awkward to get into, with very little space, you end up lounging around the entrance alleyway, which leaves an awkward movement of people into the bar. But hey, maybe forcing people to be so close to each other upon entering helps strike up conversations! Yay for forced social interaction!
Anyway, if i'm back in SD, I'd for sure hit up small bar to get that great taste of SD drinks!
Hamiltons North! Haven't had to go to South Park for like 2 years now. Thanks, Small Bar, because seriously how far is South Park off the freeway? It's like going to Del Mar, except you've only traveled like 4 miles. F South Park for being so out of the way.
Best thing(s) about Small Bar, besides the delicious beer, is the portobello sandwich and ALWAYS seeing that skinny dude with the long blond hair. That guy is a champ.
Wish they'd get the Guinness pour right, though...
So I've been here twice; once for brunch (NOMZ) and the other time was a weekday dranking sesh. The brunch food was outstanding! I nibbled on chilaquiles. Their bloody marys are a work of art. (Def snapped a few pics of one.) I liked the outdoor seating area...perfect for summer.
My second trip here was on a Wednesday bender. Supes fun! I ordered Fernet Branca which came with a lovely ginger beer chaser and several micheladas. Best micheladas I've ever had. I'm not much for the tomato juice and this one might have had a splash...if that.
We def had some wait time when we ordered our drinks, which was weird because there weren't a lot of peeps in her early on a Wednesday afternoon. That'd be the only negative to our trip.
I like this place and need to have more brunch sessions here!
Lets talk about the attitude on the bartender!
We were with a sizable group standing near the left side of the bar, there was literally nowhere else for us to go. Everyone was buying their own but apparently it was "annoying" the female bartender that we didn't just open a tab as a group. Â I really wish we hadn't bothered to tip that rude b****.
Neither of us enjoyed the yelling and there was only one unisex restroom. There was a line for the bathroom the entire time we were there.
We ended up at Lancers across the street and enjoyed sitting room, pool, no yelling and much cheaper drinks that were much stronger. Lancers also had better music.
If you don't like working in the service industry and can't extend the most basic level of service without being a total asshole, then DON'T WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY.
Went to check this place out with a friend because of a Google certificate I needed to redeem. Not impressed with the service from the bartenders nor the girl taking your food order. I will agree with other reviewers that the bouncer was super friendly and definitely great to chat with, but that is where the service stops. It took quite a bit to figure out how to order food as it is not made obvious in any way when you sit down. We had to ask the table next to us how it worked. It took probably 45 minutes to get it, which the girl taking the order stated it would be about 30 minutes so not overall frustrated there.
The food, prices, and service were just not impressive overall. Plus it is WAY too crowded in there and people do not want to let you get by which makes for some nasty looks. I definitely will take my money to another establishment in the future....if only for the fact that I appreciate great bartenders and these two guys working tonight looked quite unhappy to be there and it reflected in how they were speaking to customers.
Small bar is...well...Small.
Small in size but offers a great selection of food and drink. Â Although I came on a Saturday morning for brunch, it was PACKED. Â Be forewarned and make sure you have plenty of time (and patience) if you come here. Â
It has lots and LOTS of great drink choices, draft beers & food. Â Though I was in a hurry (I only had about an hour) I ordered food, which I didn't end up getting to eat since I had to run, but I blame that on my time, not theirs. Â
They have a great brunch options which allows you to order food that comes with a Bloody mary, mimosa or beer. Â I opted for the Bloody Mary and it was awesome. Â Comes with a skewer FULL of garnish (including a shrimp, tomato, mushroom, etc), a stick of BACON (who doesn't like bacon?!), a celery stick and carrot stick. Â Delish. Â Wish I could have tried the food I ordered, but I couldn't stick around.
I am not the type who loves to be THISCLOSE to other people at bars, so it's not a 5 star review for the location. Â I prefer to have a bit of space & at this location, I just don't get that. Â I've been in during the evening as well as brunch, and I have never not been THISCLOSE to other people. Â Can't say they didn't warn me though in the name, right?
All in all, size aside, this place is a good little bar & the staff has always been nice. Â Go check it out & you'll love the beer selection!
SMALL Bar is not just literally SMALL, it is really really SMALL. It is also very loud, and always packed. BUT they have great selections of craft beers on tap.
I think this is your bar if:
A) you can find a way to squeeze through a crowd (because it's SMALL and packed)
B) you are not claustrophobic (same reason as above)
C) you don't always break the seal (there is only one unisex bathroom)
D) you talk like you yell (because it's very loud)
E) you are a beer geek (they have good selections of craft beers on tap)
FYI: They do update their beer list daily, so that's awesome. Here is the link <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsmallbarsd.com%2Fbeer&s=2d1ee7d28f945dfb70dda38f7a2371441bde37108fb873951b05895e3e25aeee" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://smallbarsd.com/be…</a>
Another great bar ! Little bit of Hamilton's  / monkey paw vibe, same owner. . Sits about 40 or so people. Backward L shaped bar around 30 beers on tap and has a full bar.
Started with a Stone Ruination IPA cask for only $3.50. Really starting to like cask beer, tastes completely different than the bottled  beer. Very smooth and a lot more flavorful.
Next, Anchor Liberty 6% deep golden color, dry caramel , citrus taste, decent beer, alright.
Finished with a Sculpin, good as ever can't go wrong with Ballast Point beers.
Mules mules mules, if you weren't drinking a beer here is seemed like you were drinking a mule. My buddy got one $7.50 and if you want the copper cup , pullout $25 and the cup is yours.Mule which I learned is whiskey or vodka(Russian mule) ginger beer, lime juice and  a  fresh ginger slice. Tasted  very good. My buddy told me that people steal the cups so that is why they offer to sell them, HA!
To order food  you stand in front of the kitchen and they take the order there , but they do bring the food out to you. Menu has burger , sandwiches, cheese steaks, etc.
Italian beef sandwich $9  , let's do it. Nice soft slightly crispy roll, thin sliced beef , covered in onions and pepperoncini's with  some  dipping  sauce  on the side. Little spicy , juicy sandwich with some crispy fries on the side.
Also had some of the beer mac n' cheese $8.  A three cheese blend I think .., also bacon  and some roasted cherry tomatoes on top with some crispy bread sticks pushed into it. MMMM......Some of the worst mac and cheese I have had, seems as though it was a day old , the cheese was separated  or was pre made than heated up than let sit before it was served. You could hang wallpaper with it.
Parking is ruff here ! More than likely you will have to drive around a few times to get a spot or just give up like I did and park a couple blocks away.
Cool interesting bar  sandwiches were good,  and great selection of beer . As the name implies if you like small, dark, cool bars this is your place!
So the plan was to meet two friends at one of their favorite spots for a burger. Â I love meeting with good people over a meal, and I totally appreciate when someone wants to show us a place they like. Â The tough part is when you dislike the place they picked. Â Normally I'd just skip the review, but Small Bar really irked me in all sorts of ways. Â So you're getting reviewed Small Bar.
Okay first impression- the obvious entrance is not the entrance. Â Instead of walking through a cluster of smokers on the patio to get in you have to run a gauntlet of smokers. Â Not to turn this review into something it isn't, but I really dislike establishments that don't enforce the smoking laws. Â 10 feet from the entrance. Â This place has ashtrays set up less than 10 inches from the entrance.
So we go in and find a table. Â There appears to be a female bartender, and a female cocktail waitress. Â They both avoid us. Â No eye contact, just pure avoidance. Â I think we are there at least 10-15 minutes before we finally went up to the bar counter. Â So what I don't understand is why if your policy is to only serve people at the bar that you would not at least inform new people who sit down this?
The other thing they don't mention to you is that if you want food you have to go stand over by a barrel near the entrance to the kitchen. Â Sorry, but WTF is that about? Â Who thinks this is a good idea?
Okay lets talk ambiance. Â The whole place has a sort of hard biker/hesher bar sort of feel to it. Â I guess that's alright if it's your thing, but I felt the moments of enjoyment came in waves there, mostly in between loud songs. Â Obviously not a place for an intimate conversation, but honestly not a place for a conversation of any sort.
The food. Â We ordered fried pickles to start out with. Â Not bad, maybe a little too much batter but a decent warm up. Â Then my wife and I both ordered burgers. Â She had the western, I had the standard one. Â Both were dry. Â The buns were pretty decent, and I won't say it wasn't edible, but if you like your burger with a touch of pink be prepared to be disappointed. Â It was pretty much well done, and not juicy at all. The shoestring fries weren't bad, but not enough to make up for the taste to cost ratio of the burger. Want a drink refill? Â Back up to the counter you have to go. Â I had a soda, and each time instead of dumping out the watered down remnants of soda and ice, they would just put even more ice in. Â Eventually it was all ice and watered down Coke. Â Thanks.
The attitude of the staff was just not friendly. Â No greetings, no thank you's, no goodbyes. Â It was pretty much like they could have cared less how much money we were spending there. Â Total non-warm vibe. Â I really wanted to like the place, and I hate to bash one of my friends' favorite spots, but I can't really find much redeeming about Small Bar.
