Very cool atmosphere, decent drinks. Service (inside and outside) was totally weaksauce, but the doorman was pretty awesome. The back patio was crazy packed, but very cool and firepit-a-licious!

As many have said, it is a very cozy place. I have gone twice in cold weather. first time with a group of women. i had a mixed coffee drink and wasn't impressed. (but i don't drink those kinds of things often, so it was probably made right). 2nd time was with my husband and SIL. I had a beer that I enjoyed. be warned, they don't serve food. they will be more than happy to give you some microwave popcorn or mixed nuts. My husband said that they might allow you to order food from Mt Adams Bar and Grill, I don't know that for a fact. If you want a good selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks, while being able to talk without yelling.......Blind Lemon is the place.

Blind Lemon is the perfect spot to wind down on a Sunday evening. It is nestled in a cozy backyard-like area in Mt Adams. When I lived in Cincy, my friends and I would frequent BL every Sunday night and listen to Jeff Henry serenade us with "Banana Pancakes" or another song. It became a tradition. In the winter, we'd cozy up indoors and admire the paraphernalia on the walls. In the summer, we'd sit on the patio chairs, and sway to Jeff's voice. It's an amazing place to relax with your friends, or pass the time with your significant other.

All of their drinks are delicious. In the winter, I recommend warming your throat with a Blind Baileys drink (Baileys and coffee/cream). In the summer, try one of their Iced tea drinks or anything (you probably can't go wrong with any choice).

I love love love this place, and highly recommend this hidden gem.

The Blind Lemon is one of my favorite places in Cincinnati for a drink and a chat.

You enter Mt Adams knowing parking is epically difficult to find so I won't dock them on that.

You walk down some stairs and a brick walkway to the Blind Lemon's awesomeness.

There's both an indoor and outdoor section, but the outdoor is only used once its warm enough. Which in early March it wasn't.

I was meeting an old friend here to catch up a bit and have a few drinks.

She had a gin & tonic and seemed to like it. I had Gran Marnier on the rocks and found it to be about right.

The ambiance here was what I was after. Warm and inviting, the lighting was comfortable and the live music wasn't too loud.

The decor is tidy and interesting. Lots of old photos and brass teapots and mugs hanging about.

I do truly recommend a visit. Especially when the weather is warmer. There are few places in Cincinnati where a guy just strums on a guitar and you can chat without raised voices. A one of a kind place.

On a trip to visit friends in Cincinnati, the "mountain" was our first adventure, and Blind Lemon was our first stop. Fell in love.

The minute we walked in, I felt like I was transported to a mix of my grandma's basement and an eclectic art museum. The brick walls with hanging teapots and vintage photos and paintings made for a cozy feel. Join that with the fireplace and great live music, and you have yourself a quaint and intimate night.

I usually am not a fan of places where the seating is so... close... but it somehow fit the overall magical aura of the bar area. We were almost shoulder to shoulder with the table next to us, but it wasn't weird or crowded. To completely overuse the word: it was cozy.

I ordered the Old Kentucky Home in honor of my hometown (Loretto, home of Maker's Mark), and I must say Blind Lemon did an excellent service to the bourbon. Strong drinks, creative menu.

Service was also amazing. We went on a busy Friday night and it took a few minutes for our server to get to us. She apologized profusely and the boys' first beers were on the house. She was attentive and patient (from my experience as a server, I know a group of old friends that have chosen your establishment to catch up and drink can't always be the most cooperative of parties.)

    Lovely lovely lovely, all around.

Hands down, this is my favorite bar in Cincinnati. I wish it wasn't so hard to find parking in the neighborhood, otherwise I would come much more often. It is about as cute as any bar could possibly be. Underground, with a hobbit hole kind of feel, you are greeted quickly and seated almost immediately. And the service? I have never experienced such amazing service at a bar EVER. Every server is smart, efficient, pleasant and can give great recommendations based on what you like. They are SO ON THEIR GAME its not even funny. In fact, you better watch out- the great service always makes us drink way more than we might otherwise because the server always knows exactly when to show up and offer you some other AMAZING drink. Right now, during the cold weather, it is the perfect time to go. The fireplace inside is awesome to sit next to and the menu of all hot adult beverages makes you want to move right in and set up residence. God, I love this bar.

One of my favorite Cincinnati locations!  Indoor or outdoor spaces are intimate and friendly for interacting with the other patrons.  There seems to always be music playing, and the staff is friendly and professional.  I recommend the outdoor patio any night you're in the mood to sit in a garden while listening to acoustic music - very romantic :)

Im a little late posting this but could NOT pass up the opportunity to share how much I adore this little place! I was taken to the Blind Lemon on a date over the summer and was absolutely charmed as soon as we got there! There was live music and we sat outside in the garden listening to live music and being served wine.
I don't know if it was my date as much as the environment we were in that had me swooning :)

I have told my friends numerous times about this place and suggested it as a perfect, and thoughtful date spot!

This is a great hangout, the atmosphere can't be beat by any bar I've been to in any state in the country.  It's just fantastic.  The wait staff is amazing as well.

Only small complaint would be the drink prices are a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for - an great experience!

This place has a very cool vibe. Walking down the stairs into a garden cove and then into the bar that is like a secret spot was very appealing. We got there around 930 and the garden was full. The host really was the best host I've ever come across. Impressive staff overall.

We were seated in the back and it was very cramped with lots of classic car models, old photos, records, and copped cups, kettles, and pots everywhere lit dimmly with Tiffany style lamps. Odd, but it really works.

They only do drinks here. Food is next door at Mt. Adams. Why not 5 stars?, you might be thinking. Well, their drink menu was not all that creative and pretty limited. I really thing they would excell making pre prohibition speak easy style drinks. I'd love to have seen a moscow mule, side car, or classic dacquiri, but instead a miriad of overly sweet martinis and coffee w/  liquer drinks + a PERFECT mojito. You must get the mojito. One of the best I've had.

Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The other patrons were friendly. The place had a good energy. I'd have loved to have been on the patio, but no one seemed to tell us we could have asked for it and waited at a table inside. So, if you go and the patio is full, ask for the wait list, grab a drink and table inside, and they'll come get you when the patio spot opens up!

Tip: This was the most "adult" bar in the area other than a wine bar amongst a bunch of college style frat bars.

On a whim the girlfriend and I decided to take off a half day of work on Friday and drive down to Cincinnati for some Ikea and Costco and to hang out in Mt Adams for a few drinks before heading back to Columbus.  Thanks to my handy dandy yelp app we found this place and it definitely lives up to it's good reviews.  I personally like the entrance to this place.  It's like walking down a creepy tunnel and coming out to a patio garden.  They have great beers and cool drinks for the ladies.  The ambiance and laid back atmosphere kept us there for the better part of 3 hours when we were planning on going to multiple bars.  Instead that was our last trip of the night.  I recommend parking in the garage for 5 bucks instead of off street parking which is insane.  Big thanks to the local guy who hooked us up with that tidbit of awesomeness.

It's a big experience packed into a quaint atmosphere. It is one of my favorite bars to visit, especially in the fall and winter. There is no other place like it, with an awesome firepit out back where you can sit warm and see the stars through the chilly air, all while listening to the live acoustic music coming from inside. The waiters and waitresses will bring you everything from a tasty glass of bourbon to a hotty totty. Inside is a real charm, which is a stone basement with antiques all around, inviting tables for two to three and a warm fire burning in the fireplace at the center of the room. I have had some great conversations and warm moments at the Blind Lemon.

Blind Lemon is adorable. We're new to the city, and were looking for a place to take some out of town friends to hang out and catch up. I've never been to Mt. Adams, but we got there are 10:30 and street parking was pretty full. We ended up paying $5 to park in the church parking lot, and it wasn't a bad walk. When we got there, patio seating was full so we took a table inside and asked for them to get us when something opened up. We ordered our drinks, and after about 20 minutes the host came and got us and led us outside. The musician was great, and it was the perfect way to end our evening. I'll definitely be back! I can't wait to go when it's cooler in the fall and the bonfire is set up.

Walking through the crevice-like alleyway, you certainly wouldn't expect to see a backyard garden of intimate tables and chairs. It was well decorated outdoors just as the indoors looked quaint.

As it started to rain, we headed inside with our drinks (which were pricey). Seeing as it was a Monday night, we were almost the only customers inside the Blind Lemon. But what better than being front and center of the solo acoustic set? I think an artist comes in every evening to swoon BL's dizzy nightly visitors. I was surely swooned.

Copper tin houseware, miniature Tiffany lamps, Victorian antique frames on walls and ceilings, this place has its own level of charm and eloquence. Great for atmosphere, and honestly that's all I can speak for. I got a hibiscus martini and it was just fine. Small, but what martini wants to be more overbearing than it already is?

Went here with my boyfriend for the first time last night. I have been wanting to try this place forever it has always been one of those mysterious places to me. I like how the entry way is kind of hidden and has a few stairs leading down to a very discreet patio. The host took us to our chairs outside where we were seated around a giant bonfire.
They have a variety of cocktails, beers, wines and spiked coffees. Everything seemed pretty reasonably priced.
I ordered 2 glasses of Apothic red wine and a dirty martini. My boyfriend ordered a Blue Moon, a dirty martini, and a Bloody Mary. We didn't try any of their specialty cocktails though. The Bloody Mary was very good and nice and spicy.
Our waitress was extremely attentive and brought us some yummy snacks which I believe were free.
As we were sitting outside it began to rain so we moved inside which was very exciting to me because it was extremely inviting and cozy. There were interesting decorations everywhere you looked and very close together tables made for a cozy time. There are tin cups hanging everywhere from the ceiling and model trains on all of the walls and the lighting is very dim.
I really love this place and I love how different it is. I will certainly be back here!

Positively obsessed with this bar! I always want to come here while visiting Cincinnati. They have a great fire pit out back that is perfect for a chilly night. Their hot drink menu is superb, I would recommend the Hotty Toddy or the Buttered Rum - an actual slab of butter goes right on top and melts into the hot drink! The inside is super small, but really eclectic and they had a great little band playing Saturday night. Ah, this is such a great place, if you're in Mount Adams check it out.

After reading the reviews about this place on Yelp, I just had to give it a try. The reviews gave a good depiction of exactly how charming this place is. Its located on the hill in Mt Adams and you walk down a outdoor avenue that eludes to how old this place is. Once inside its quaint, warm and wonderful. I am 6'0" and I felt like I might have to duck but all in all it was COZY! There was a fire crackling in the fireplace and we quickly grabbed a corner table thinking it might get busy.
We came in around 7:30 on a Thursday and were happy to see that it never got full by the time we left at 10. We were able to strike up a conversation with a couple of people and even though there was a musician, we were still able to carry on our talk and get to know some people from the area.
It was not a loud college bar which we both appreciated and after drinking quite a few drinks, we were happily surprised that our bill was actually not that expensive. We both tried the Banana Bread Beer and agreed that we need to find a place that sells it- its delicious and tastes exactly like its name. Mary Kate was our waitress and she definitely aware of her customers needs.
All in all I will tell you that this will become one of our favorite spots to frequent in Cincinnati. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a night out with some good friends and great beer :)

You gotta check this place out! Chilly night...looking for an after dinner warm up you can't go wrong with one of their many hot drinks. I had the top of the hill coffee which was perfect! Very small, and I wouldn't want to get there late, but the ambiance was cozy. Reminded me of the nicer bay area coffee house.

Live acoustic music was just starting while we were there.

Will come back in the summer as I hear the patio area is an awesome place.

This. This place is the bar that I've been searching for since I started drinking.  LOVE the vibe...intimate and cozy.  Really solid liquor selection and friendly and attentive waitstaff.

As with any establishment in Mt. Adams, parking is tough, but no worse here than anywhere else.  What sets this place apart is the lack of the "bro" crowd.  If you're looking for a place to dance and chase tail, look elsewhere.  If you want a quieter place to enjoy a drink and a conversation with some friends, this is the place to do it.

Don't know the name of the guy, but the acoustic guitar player who was there the last time I was in was absolutely stellar.  Played a lot of tunes off the beaten singer-songwriter path which is always appreciated.

Best Feature: Adorable interior! Charming, friendly staff, and great drink selection!
Worst Feature: Parking, not great for big group settings

I was recently in here for a big event and was a bit nervous going beforehand since I know usually the location of Mt. Adams means difficult parking situation. Sure enough, it took me a bit to score a sweet spot near the Blind Lemon and I counted myself lucky to have found a spot a few streets away.

Getting there, I was a bit confused - there was a sign for The Blind Lemon but the entrance seemed to be a set of stairs leading to a patio. I ducked in the neighboring restaurant, Daveed's, to ask where the Blind Lemon was. Turns out I should've taken about 10 extra steps forward into the vacant patio (cold weather, nobody was out there) and there was a big sign stating where the entrance was.

Once I entered, I was totally in love with the charming interior. Romantic lighting with lamps and lots of decor awaited me with small tables, perfect for an intimate outing of 2-4. The hostess / waitress was very nice to me, greeting me and helping me with picking a drink. As I was being responsible, I asked for their tea selection. The rest of the drink menu looked fantastic, and I wish I could've had one - put that on my "to do" list.

She listed off a main tea and said she could bring out a tray of available teas, but I just decided to try out the first one she mentioned, "Cosmic somethingorother". I chose to drink it hot, and it was nice to have her ask me first what my preference was.

The tea was absolutely great and I sipped on it happily while meeting the others in the group event I was attending. The big downside for me was how hard it was to get around the small back main room - once we had about 20 or so people there, it was insanely hard to navigate anywhere without have to ask others to move out of the way. I wasn't a fan of that aspect, so if I came back it would definitely be for an event where I'm just with a few people.

I loved it there - I definitely want to come back as the menu selection looked great, prices were what I'd expect, and the service was great. If you're in the area, I'd recommend a stop in!

For a small and unique place to enjoy a warm drink, this is the place. Blind Lemon has a small inside area for those who can't bear the patio on a chilly night, and a beautiful patio with fire pits and heaters for winter nights.

A group of friends and I weren't feeling the lively usual places in Mt Adams one Friday Night, so we decided to try a the Blind Lemon due to the raves we have heard from a common friend. Upon entering this oasis in the middle of a party part of Cincinnati, you a transported into a mellow mood and immediately are served. Their drink selection changes seasonally. If you go during late/winter early spring, enjoy one of their chocolate drinks, such as the milky-way. Their blends are scrumptious!

Blind Lemon also has a wonderful selections of live music bands.
If you are looking for a chill and low key night in Mt. Adams- this is the spot. So bring your friends and enjoy your conversation.

If you are looking for a more lively and happening place- don't come and ruin it for the surrounding others.

How freaking adorable is this place!?! I love the decor all over the ceilings and walls. It's so vintage inspired. We first sat inside because we noticed the giant fire-pit was not ablaze at that point. We sat in the far back corner, which was A-Ok for me since the tables seemed quite close together. We ordered a couple beers, one was a banana bread beer brewed with real bananas! It was not incredible, but it wasn't disgusting either. I would recommend it to others, but I wouldn't drink it on a regular basis.

I was hoping to catch a small snack while we were drinking, but they didn't have a menu. The friend I was with said they typically has pretzels or something close to it, but they were apparently out that night.

Once we had noticed the fire was full blast we headed outside. It was not a freezing night, but it was chilly and the fire kept us warm. By far the biggest fire-pit I have ever seen! The outside space was very cozy and intimate and the decor out there was just as amazing as the inside.

The atmosphere here is the only reason why I would ever go back.  I love sitting on the romantic patio with the fire pit burning while sipping on a glass of wine.  It would be a wonderful place to take a first date... If you were willing to spend a LOT of money on your drinks!

I have only been here twice- once on the inside and once on the outside.  I recommend the outside for all the reasons above.  I recommend the inside never.  The inside is ridiculously cramped.  There is no privacy and you feel like you have to hunch to not his your head on the ceiling.

Maybe I should be giving this place more of a chance.  Like I said, I have not be impressed, but so many other great reviews might warrant a third look...

My absolute favorite, #1 bar in Cincinnati.  It is small and intimate.  I have to use the words "quaint" and "cute" to describe the interior of the bar.  As soon as I am inside, the small room makes me feel all warm and welcome.  It would be a great place for a 3rd of 4th date.  (Only take them there if you find that they are worthy!!!!!! )

And then there is the outside area with the wood burning fireplace.  On those chilly nights, there is the fire with its comforting scent, live guitar music...truly a great place to hang with your loved one and/or close friends.  I could find no better place to celebrate my engagement there a few years ago.  Definitely a place for grown-ups who no longer need the "meat market" or bar scene.

The Blind Lemon is one of Cincinnati's greatest hidden treasures, and hidden it is. A thin alley nestled between Mt. Adams Bar and Grill and Daveed's leads to a flight of stone steps. At the bottom of these steps is a quaint patio, surrounded by ivy covered buildings on all four sides. White Wrought Iron patio furniture is arranged in semi-circles around little coffee tables. Sometimes there will be a guy with a guitar. this is a great place to just relax, have a drink, and talk. The inside is very small, and has an eclectic old timey feel. The drinks can be a little pricey, but are good. The main thing here is the atmosphere though, just a cool place through and through. The Blind Lemon has been around for a while too. When I moved up to Mt. Adams my grandpa asked me if it was still there. He said that he used to hang out there when he was in college.

Also, a tip for parking in Mt. Adams. The hill on Wareham Dr. seems to be one of the last places to fill up, and it's not too far from the bars.

Blind Lemon is my favorite bar in Cincinnati, and it has been since I first went there 3 years ago. I love the ambiance and the decor. I often notice something on the walls that I haven't noticed before. There is live music almost every night--one of the best is Jeff Henry who plays every Sunday. His voice is like silk (that's what my friends say and they tend to be right.) The drinks are strong. The staff are lovely, kind, and fun.

In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. There's a fire pit some nights during the week. But in the cold winter, or when it's raining, everyone is inside. I like it best when everyone, including the performer) is inside. It's nice and cozy.

They don't serve food, except pretzels, popcorn, and mints. But you don't need food there.

This is the place in Mt Adams for hanging out and having drinks. Wonderful atmosphere inside and out with cute patio outside and cozy bar inside. I love being outside in the summer and look forward to drinking hot tatis in the winter with the fireplace fuming.

There is live music every night and each time I have been there it has been spot on and enjoyable.

Service is friendly and attentive and the bouncer remembered my name after going three times. Drinks are well made and there is a decent beer list, not the best tap list though.

Overall this is my place of choice for a night out on the hill.

This is my new favorite bar and gives me way more reason to get to Mt. Adams on the regular. This bar is a gem among the many jock-type bars in this area. Yes, there are other good ones as well, aliveOne is a favorite of mine too.

Walking down the steps to get to this bar, it's very unassuming. But the outside garden area is quite big and cozy. There are tons of chairs and tables outside facing a small band area. There was a solo guitarist/singer when I was there.

Inside the bar are a couple different rooms with friendly servers. They'll even pop you fresh popcorn! The drink menu is broad and the mixed drinks are really good -- there's a unique tasting one with cinnamon I recommend. The decor inside really makes this place stand out; some stained glass and copper saucers and cups hanging all over. Go here!

PERFECT place for a date or just to relax for the night. When I go out in Mt Adams this is where I like to start at least (but sometimes end up here all night!).

Great live music that isn't loud and obnoxious, usually something lighter like acoustic. You'll pay a little more than usual for drinks but its definitely worth it, and they make some great mixed drinks.

The patio is awesome so if its nice out, definitely have to go here.

This is a wonderful place to have a drink on a first date or when you want to spend quality time with your SO.  The courtyard is beautiful.  The firepit provides excellent ambiance.  It seems like they have live music every night.  Nice touch!  The music is generally acoustic, so there won't be a problem hearing conversation.

I have to say that the interior of the building is absolutely cozy in the wintertime.  It can get a bit cramped when busy though.  I sat back and sipped sambuca on a cold evening.  I felt like I was in a movie.  And my date's eyes began to twinkle.... ok back to reality.

Blind Lemon is a fabulous place for an after dinner drink or drink for no reason drink.  They are very close to Daveed's and Mt. Adams Bar and Grill, so it works out nicely.

    What a bar!

How have I never been in here before a few days ago ... wait, I know exactly why, because it's in Mt. Adams and I hate driving and parking in the neighborhood's  narrow streets. If I'm going to drink, its way easier to go to any other neighborhood, including OtR where I live. But I've been missing out.

I made a rare exception to come up here for dinner at Daveed's and we decided to get an after-dinner drink at the bar right next door, the famous Blind Lemon. I'd heard of this bar and how everyone loves it, but I wasn't prepared for the weird, awesome Harry Potter-esq world I was about to step into.

To get to BL, you actually walk down stone stairs, under a stone awning, into what seems like a basement. Instead, you're going towards the bar. This dark, red wood room is crazy from the moment you walk on. Pictures everywhere, trains on the wall, newspaper clippings on the table, and mood-lit to give it the feel of an old Victorian house. Friends could gather here just as easy as murders could be plotted in this space, it's pretty solid for either.

Being a nice day, though, we continued forward to a beautiful outdoor patio. There's a ton of seats and tables out here and you can find a section for two people or 13 people. A waitress comes by (something we weren't sure about at first. No ordering at the bar, table service only) and puts down some free pretzels (nice) and a cocktail menu (more nice!)

The cocktails here are grand. They've got a section for winter drinks to warm you up and fantastic summer drinks to cool you down. Reasonably priced and really delicious, I was happy with every sip.

If this bar was anywhere else than Mt. Adams, I definitely would be here more often, and it was so good, I may even trek up those hills again to try it again ... someday.

There is no better place in Mt. Adams on a beautiful day.  Their courtyard makes it feel like you're someplace else and is beyond relaxing.  There is typically an acoustic musician and they have always been entertaining and eclectic.

The crowd is typically older and more sophisticated than what you might find at some other Mt. Adams establishments.  This is a perfect place to take a date.  It is romantic and fun, yet still feels intimate.  If you're looking to pick someone up, you have plenty of other options in Mt. Adams.

Blind Lemon can be many things.  It can be a warm, cozy bar to have a hot drink on a cold night and catch up with an old friend.  It can be a romantic after dinner date spot, complete with dark corner tables.  It can be a year-round al fresco hangout, with a fire in the pit and/or live music depending on the night of the week and the weather conditions.

It's not the bar for every mood, but on the right night, there's no place like it in the city for atmosphere.

Looking for a romantic spot to have a quiet convo with your special someone while listening to some acoustic beats? This is the place to go.

I went here last summer with my lady on a Friday night and we were lucky to get a seat. This place is packed on the weekend so be prepared to wait. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm for an outdoor venue and in my opinion is best experienced during a warm summer or fall night. There are flowers hanging along the brick wall and are several candles and lights as well. They have a few people taking drink orders but they might take a while to get to you. There are no tables outside its just a group of seats facing an area where live music is played. There is an inside area that also looks inviting but I was not able to check it out on this visit.

In strange contrast to most of Mt. Adams bars, this place brings in mostly older clientele, is quiet and is for people who are in a relationship not looking for one for the night. So if you are looking for a place to chill after a night out with your date, this would be a good start on the way to the bedroom.

The Blind Lemon is like a combination of  your bff's backyard and a boat. The outdoor courtyard takes up most of the space, but they have lots of benches, live music (usually solo acoustic stuff) and...a fire pit! And alcohol, of course. And the tiny inside is mostly wood-paneled and full of random old portraits and stained glass and mugs hanging from the ceiling and whatnot, and really makes me think I'm on a boat. A boat that is also a slightly upscale old timey tavern. With alcohol!

It's a good place to hang out and chill outdoors when the weather is nice, or when the fire pit is going, and the inside has its own kind of bizarre charm. But, hey, I have to hand it to any place that has both beer and hot chocolate with butterscotch schnapps on the menu. Let it never be said that they have no variety, or a lack of delicious.

A great way to wind down the evening on the hill. There is a cozy oasis courtyard in the back with a generous fire pit, that lends itself to social interaction with someone new or intimate moments with  that someone special.

They have some warm drinks for cool evening, even spiked cider and coffee. There is usually some mellow but inviting music playing, live or previously recorded. There is also an inside seating area if you prefer, decorated with an assortment of interesting photos.

This is the quintessential date spot in Cincinnati.  It is also one of the most popular hang outs in Mt. Adams.  The place is terrible in the winter...too small and service is horrible.  Bathrooms are even worse.  In the warmer months where fires can be built on the patio/courtyard or in the summer, the bar is much better in the sense of you don't feel like you are crowded into a sardine can.

The is live music and the crowd is usually a mix of tourist/locals (Rich locals mind you...it is after all Mt. Adams) and folks are dates.

One of the few "must sees" in Cincinnati  when it comes to bars.

Whenever I tell old folks (which means anyone who has kids that are capable of complex thought) that I went to the Blind Lemon, they invariably say, "Ohhhh, I used to go there all the time."  Whenever I tell young folks the same, they invariably say, "Huh?"  Which is a complete shame.

As we are now able to open windows and put sweaters with the mothballs, the Blind Lemon should be your destination.  Nestled behind/beneath Mt Adams Bar and Grill, it has a truly fantastic, verdant courtyard, often invigorated with fires, candles, and other incendiary delights.  Somehow, it manages to be secluded from the rest of Mt Adams to the point you feel like you're in someone's backyard.

If the weather turns wet, there is a real building where the bar is, which looks a lot like what an American thinks a Parisian caf is.  But fear not; you never actually need to go in there.  Servers will come and take drink orders if you prefer to lounge on the patio and enjoy the live acoustic music every night.  The selections are nothing outstanding, but you're here for the ambience which will set you at ease even if you're blind or sour.
