i have been in here a few times maybe 3 times and i have to say im a fan! Â the bartenders are very friendly, the drinks are not over priced, and the food is pretty amazing! thats why i give it 4 stars!
the only thing i wish was better was  the music . there is an older clientele, not to many young people , young is in (21-30)  so maybe thats why the music is not a big hit? it seems like alot of oldies were playing. so other than the music the place is pretty good bar to stop in for cheap drinks and good food
So I went to Casey's on Saturday Night after clearing the snow from great snow blizzard of 2013, at my house. I wanted some cold beer after all day of work but the bartender over there surprised me, he seriously needs some bartending skills and customer service behavior otherwise Casey's you guys are going to loose major customers. I am not sure what his name is but i heard one of the guy at the bar  (who seemed to be a regular customer) calling him Tony. Bartending is all about Personality and he's the worst bartender i have ever seen in my life.0 personality. I cant believe Casey's such a happening neighborhood  bar can have bartender like him.Never go there whenever this guy is working, trust me everything is going to come out slow and with huge old fat attitude.
Review Source:If I want to get drunk and eat some bar food in East Somerville, this is the spot. Â The chicken fingers are the best-big strips of actual chicken, not processed parts. Â I also liked the nachos we ordered-they were topped with delicious beef chili, cheese, and were very generous in portion size. Â The chili here is really good too, and you can't beat it-a bowl of chili with cheddar cheese is a whopping $4. Â I'll be back for that during the cold weather-nothing beats a bowl of chili on a cold day. Â The pizza is really good here too-nice and greasy if you need something to soak up your beer. Â Cocktails are reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly. Â They recently did some renovating and the place looks much nicer than it did before. Â They usually play classic rock, which I appreciate. Â
Casey's also participates in the East Somerville Main Streets Two for Tuesdays promotion, and you can get two appetizers for the price of one when that is running. Â They also are very active with the local community and East Somerville Main Streets and clean ups, which is great.
My Go To watering hole. Bartender Billy is my FAV! But I love John, Mario, Cash and on occasion Michael. :p  The upgrades keep making the place look better and better. Still need the hand dryers in the bathroom because the paper towel situation stinks. Plus the toilet seat which are new keep coming loose. Really? FIX IT ALREADY! Hot out of the oven pizza smells like feet. UGH! Especially smelly on Thursday nights after the runners club and rec ball come in.
That being said I love Casey's. I walk in and I am immediately greeted by someone I know and that is priceless. Plus they carry my Heineken Light. WOOHOO!!!
Admittedly I've only eaten at Casey's once so this isn't a review based on a large sample size. Very friendly and prompt service. Pretty average beer selection but certainly not lacking for a night out. I ordered nachos with my friends and it tasted like bagged tostitos thrown into a microwave with processed, shredded cheese. I don't really expect much from most bar food so it wasn't disappointing. However, what was weird to me was the crowd. Mostly families with kids on one side and thirtisomethings out for a good time on the other. It felt like two places depending on which side of the partition I stood on. Still, not a bad place and I'll probably be giving it another day in court.
Review Source:I live right down the street from these guys, and they received the majority of my business during the recent Bruin's Stanley Cup run.
The beers are cheap (get the pitchers!), and the food is unreal for a bar - the steak tips are incredible and the buffalo fingers are perfect too.
Good amount of TV's throughout this place, I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
Typical bar atmosphere. The food is always a good time. Marinated steak tips with fries and onion rings are my usual go to order. However there other menu items are good as well. Bob the chef there is the man. He definitely knows his stuff. Bartenders are all really nice and drinks are nice and cheap.
Review Source:a terrible bar with a bunch of old gross people playing keno. Actually has decent food
and a REAL laid back attitude...so laid back I'd say its in a coma.
and for some reason on the weekends they have a DJ for no one to dance too.
If you want to go to a local bar where you can actually talk and watch your garbage man hump the floor to old school 90s hip hop this is your place
Steak tips. Really? Have you had them yet? No? Really? Why not?!
Honestly, "hole-in-the-wall;" and I don't truly want to review it because I don't want my secret to be known.. but I want to add it to my list so I need to.
Townie, for sure. Â Older crowd, for sure. Does it bother me, absolutely not! Â My friend S and I have become friendly with some regulars and would almost just like to consider ourselves "honorary temporary semi-permanent regulars." Â
Do I go at all hours/any hour? Yes, I've gone at any time of the day or week you could say to give the broad term of how great of a place it is.
$8 pitchers, amazing steak tips (the menu is great as well but I am just obsessed with their tips) great crowd. Â TV's for sports, you'll definitely find me there for Sunday football; and good music on the weekends; some throw back jams and new stuff. Â Great spot, I can't give enough positive feedback on Casey's. Â
Staff is exceptionally friendly and I just love them all! Everything about the place.
This is truly a place where everyone knows your name...... Â This a definitley a Somerville "townie" bar but don't mock what you may not see or what you may not understand from the people that visit this establishment but embrace them. Â Once you learn the lyrics to Rhinestone Cowboy feel free to join in and sing with one of my favorite patrons.
The steak tips are the best around (everything on the menu is good the bar pizza is phemonial) the beer is cheap & the bar tenders are awesome. Â You can virtually play whatever music you want to hear and cut a rug with old friends or the new ones you've made.
Casey's Bah is wicked awesome khed (kid)
Shots and a beer
I heart this bar.
Admittedly, Casey's is not much to look at, but what it lacks in decor it makes up for with cheap beer and awesome bar food. Â The pizza is surprisingly delicious and the steak tips are some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Â The crowd is a bit older, especially during the week, but on the weekends the younger crowd rolls in. Â The staff is always really friendly and the service from Billy the bartender is a fan favorite. Â
I don't recommend Casey's if you are looking for an upscale place to wine and dine, but if it's cheap beer and food that you crave-- it can't be beat. Â Come by and look for me and my friends in the back or up in the DJ booth pumping out the 90s hip hop jams late night.
It's a sports bar full of townies. Don't expect much class.
That said, it's an *awesome* sports bar full of townies. The bartender is the nicest guy, and complete strangers will buy you a beer if you're yelling at the TVs as loudly as they are. Drinks are cheap and strong. You can see skanky chicks sipping Long Island ice teas with their dates in the back. The hot pastrami sandwich is to die for, and my boyfriend loves the steak tips.
Casey's is a great neighborhood bar where most everyone knows your name, and if they don't they're still buying rounds for you on your first visit. It's kind of an older crowd, the food and beer is cheap and REAL good, and there's plenty of room to hang out along the bar, get a table in the back, or enjoy a Sox game by yourself.
Check out Bob's tips and compliment Bob on how good they taste. He's an older gentleman who wears a Red Sox hat and is cooking seven nights a week at the place.
They've got about 15 varieties on tap and the price is right. Bud and Bud Light are $2.50 for a 16 ounce and $3 for a 20 ounce, and premiums range from $3-4.
Check it out sometime... you won't regret it.
I went here on a whim a few months ago. Pleasant service, typical pub food, and cheap beer. It was bigger than I expected, as half the place is set up as a standard bar, with the other half set up with long tables and a few TV screens for sports and karaoke.
I give it three stars, as I need to go back sometime for a better take.
