Amazing black box theatre, friendly staff, cash bar, visit FTC whenever you're close! The pricing and the nonprofit benefit make this theatre a win-win for everyone.

When we heard Fountains of Wayne was coming to FTC my boyfriend and I had to buy tickets right away. This was the first time we'd ever seen a show here and it did not disappoint. We weren't sure what to expect - thought it would be standing, but the seating worked for the performers. The opening act, Robert Schwartzman, was late, so he and his band only got to play a few songs. A bit disappointing since tickets were $35 for the evening, but who knows, Fountains of Wayne may have needed to go on at a certain time. The show was supposed to start at 7:30 and we were out of there just after 10. Maybe FTC runs a tight ship?

The crowd was a mixed group, mostly middle aged couples, some with their kids; some high schoolers, a few people who were probably in their 70s, and not too many 20 somethings - what I normally see at concerts.

It's important to note that all beers are $6. Even 12oz. cans of PBR - $6. So don't make the mistake of ordering what you think is going to be a cheap option. It's not.

All in all, we had a great time and know what to expect next time we go!

Stage one is a nice intimate venue. Going there again to see Kris Allen on Oct 26th. If you haven't seen him live, you should!  His voice is terrific and his banter is hilarious. Great for a date or especially for a girls might out!

This adorable local gem happened to be hosting a Conor Oberst concert, so we made the 45 minute drive into CT. The space is TINY but well-organized. The night of the show there were horrific thunderstorms and the concert was delayed about an hour, but everything was handled well by the friendly staff. The sound was good, the stage was visible from every seat. Beer was inexpensive; I don't remember there being any food options.

If you have a chance to see a music act you love here, take it -- it doesn't get more intimate than this venue.

I've seen two completely different shows here now (Graham Parker & The Figgs and then Fishbone) within a short span, and I really like this place. The shows were both great.

Stage One feels much smaller than the 225 capacity, but the staff is very friendly and they have a few decent beer options which surprised me given the size of the bar & the place overall. The sound is excellent. No skimping on the important stuff.

It's somewhat of a surprising layout (all seated) for some of the shows they book, but it seems to work.

Live music venues are dying all over the place, especially in places like Fairfield County. Get out & see some bands, folks! Think about it... no commute to the City is necessary, you have a slew of nice restaurants & bars in town to imbibe prior to show time & you can see quality acts in a very intimate setting.

If you enjoy live music and are looking for an intimate venue that is not the "bar scene" then the FTC is a delightful place to see a show!!
If you are a seated listener there is plenty of that and if you are a dancer there is some limited space to groove and move on the sides..the staff is polite and welcoming ..

I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Went here for a concert on a friday night; the management here was completely unprofessional- the woman working "security" was beyond rude, the ticket saleswoman was sloppily eating cheetos in our face and actually yelled at us, and the hired security thought he was working for the secret service. This is all bizarre, since the venue itself has good shows/sound is good but the management here ruins it for everyone. ;(

Attended the Tom Tom Club concert at the this theater.  The band was great - the theater was questionable.  The aisles were constantly blocked.  Though we had great seats - people were rude enough to stand right in front of us - not in front of their seats - but in front of ours...stepping on us constantly.  The theater staff basically said - "as long as it looked like everyone was having fun...  Would not recommend the venue - and after making a polite call to comment on the situation - I think little of the theater management.  Basically a "too bad" attitude.

I went to the FTC for a concert I was very excited about....the one, the only, Meiko!!  Well, I thought people knew about her, but I guess I was wrong because it was me, my boyfriend, and about 7 other people in attendance.

    Tickets were cheap, $10.
Show was awesome...opener great, Meiko played every single song she has for sale and a couple new ones!
Venue was great....not too big, nice stage (although a tad on the small time), not a bad seat in the house!
Sound was good, vocals sounded crisp and 100% normal.

It is conveniently located if you live in the area and I would definitely hit it up again if anyone else I like graces the stage.
