Amazing 1st year wedding anniversary at Flemings! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff was kind, courteous, attentive and just wonderful!

Our waiter, Zach from the bar area, was fantastic. We sat in a nice booth (it was just my husband and I) and had an amazing meal: french onion soup was the best! We had the filet which melted in our mouths and the new york strip which was equally amazing. And to end the night we had their signature lava cake- YUM!

Throughout the entire meal various wait-staff greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. The restaurant was not loud (we sat right near the bar area) and the lighting was perfect for a romantic evening.

We will definitely be coming back here!

Oh and the ipad wine list was great!

Service and food is sporadic--sometimes excellent, sometimes dazed and confused as in not being able to handle the volume of customers. Sometimes the food is spot on. Other times your steak is overcooked. Sometimes the steak tastes a little like it was previously frozen. Good wine. iPad wine menu is not so good (cumbersome and oddly designed app, although I love the iPad and have a couple of them). Time to find a mom & pop, organic steakhouse soon. These chain restaurants just are not good enough, considering the amount of cash expended vs quality and GMO issues. Clientele is entertaining though--loud mouth, soulless corrupt alpha-male businessmen that all look alike during the weekday and kinder, gentler people on the weekend.

Three words: Prime Rib Special! For $40, you get a salad, their huge prime rib, one side, and dessert. Pretty good value for a fancy steak meal in the area. My waiter was professional and knowledgeable about wines. They have iPads at your table so you can scroll through their drink menu and see the descriptions and recommendations.

Their chocolate lava cake was sugary goodness. Loved the combination of warm Belgian chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Also ordered the fresh berries with cream and had that with the cake. I also received a complimentary box of anniversary chocolates and a $25 giftcard for making a reservation :)

My steak was tender and juicy but did have a lot of seasoning which I didn't like. Server was really friendly but she came to check too many times(7-8times). Chocolate Lava cake was really delicious. Overall it was pleasant and I would definitely go there again.

I can say I've been to almost all the steakhouse in the DMV & this one is my favorite.

First of all they have a fun iPad wine list, that gives you full description & recommendation food pairing. Their wine list is all award winning wines, so haven't had a bad one yet. And if you like that wine the iPad has where you can email yourself the wine info. No other restaurant has that.

I alway start with their French onion soup, one of the best I've every had. Salads are always good here too. Steaks can range from pricy to reasonable. We always finish with their molten lava cake.

The only knit-pick... If any might be their side dishes. Not always consistent, sometime really good sometime just okay.

This is the best steak I've had in DC and I put their bone-in ribeye among the best steak I've ever had, including those in Chicago.

Flemings used to be my favorite steak house, however they have really gone downhill. The last 3 times we've been here the service has been awful and SLOW. Our dinner took more than 2 hours and we ended up being late to our show as a result. Our waiter was unshaven, not that that bothers me so much, but this guy also looked unclean and had a very course attitude. They seem unorganized.
The problem on this night seemed to be that some friends of one of the managers was there. No one else was getting any service and food was taking FOREVER to be delivered. They bumped into our chair fawning over this one table no less than 30 times (we started counting after a bit). It was rude. For a $300 dinner, I expect more.

Also note...This is not a romantic restaurant, it is too loud and chances are you'll get frustrated that everything is taking so long. A cup of coffee was a 15 wait. And while it is dark, dark does not equate to romantic. You are still in a hard chair with a white tablecloth at the end of the day. There are much more romantic spots in this area.

This is also not a vibrant bar scene. This Flemings is in front of a Marriott Courtyard hotel and tends to attact business travelers and an older clientele. This is not a restaurant for children either.

Food was delicious. The place was busy but I ate at the bar and it was quick and good. I recomend.

Overall, definitely go for the food, I had a blast but this is NOT a romantic restaurant, and certainly not a place you want to spend your anniversary. I say this because it was the first time my guy and I went here, and he made reservations thinking that it would be.. so hopefully, this will help some other guy who is making special plans.

Fleming's is just way too loud for that, and honestly not very organized. For example when we arrive we're placed in a booth right next to the kitchen! Also the table was set was 4, and we had several staff ask us if more were joining us, even though the front knew why we were there (they had a little card that said Happy Anniversary) Also the champagne came out after our appetizers, and the waitress and the manger kept interrupting conversations... its okay, its just wasn't what I was hoping for my 7th year Anniversary. Granted I could have told the manager but by this time I just wanted to talk to my guy and I don't think there is much he could have done to fix it. I only have my 7th anniversary once, and really who wants to complain when your guy is trying. Birthdays, basic date.. I could see this working great for it. I should also note that our waitress was very sweet, and is she's a very cool people, just literary we hardly got to talk to each other and when we did it was over so much noise.

The food was perfect, and in fact the filet mignon was wonderful... as far as steaks go, I would say that it beats out Ruth Chris and Capital Grill by far, in fact its a no contest. We had the shrimp cocktail, which were huge and plump, and the calamari was beautifully tender, and had a very balanced sauce, i couldn't quite place it but its got a really nice sweetness to it. I ordered the newport filet and its really beautifully done, and just enough, and it comes with fleming's potatoes so overall its just a great dish. He had the swordfish and just loved it! I finished up with the creme brulee and an irish coffee. The champagne,Billecart-Salmon, was wonderful as well, and we tend to really enjoy it... except they use the wrong flutes, so your drinking a $180 bottle, that taste more like a $50 bottle because you can't get the aroma, so all the light notes that you typically get just disappear. However, they were really sweet at the end and did give us a $25 dollar gift certificate and a mini box of chocolates.

**reviewing happy hour only**

Be sure to come before happy hour starts (right when it opens at 5PM) or else you won't get a table or seat at the bar! My friends and I got here at 6PM (HH is from 5-7PM everyday) on a Thursday and it was PACKED. Luckily we had a tiny corner of the bar to put our drinks/appetizers until we were able to get a table after a large group left.

For $6, you can get a large variety of plates and drinks. The cocktails were delicious (my favorite was the peach sparkler) but beware, they're strong! We also ordered the pork belly, calamari, ravioli, carpaccio, and prime burger. My least favorite was the ravioli (it only came with 3 and it was a little bland). My favorites were the carpaccio and burger (which comes with bacon!).

Overall, service was a little slow (but it's probably because it was busy) but I'd come back for HH!

This is my second visiting Flemings. The first time was years ago and more recently just a week ago. Decided to celebrate the husbands birthday with our 8 year old twins in tow. The dining room is really nice and there are booths for the more intimate dinner. I don't know why it says it's not good for kids, I would recommend this for kids, go early if possible.

My husband ordered the filet and it was superb! My kids also ordered the kids filet and loved it. Although one of my boys really wanted the adult size.... I ordered the pork chop which was huge and enough to share with the boys. No way I could have eaten that whole chop. The sides were good, not exceptional, but good. The ceaser salad could have used a little more umphf.

The service was good, although I would have expected a little better, given that my husband does not like mushrooms and his green beans came with mushrooms. The waiter came over to ask if everything was okay and we told him about the mushrooms, he just shrugged his shoulders and said, oh, so your wife is going to eat them. For a place the caliber of Flemings, I would have expected the waiter to apologize as mushrooms are not commonly served with green beans and asked if there was something else we would have liked. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Someone came by to take our picture, the picture was dark, but still a nice gesture. Also at the end of our dinner we received a small box of chocolates and a $25 gift card for a return visit.

This was awesome! The hubby & I went here on a whim for a Happy Hour which turned into snagging a table for din. Everything from the drinks to the meal was AMAZING! We couldn't have had a better time. The bar had a good sized crowd for happy hr. Our bartender Johnathan was attentive & made great recommendations. Once we plowed down some drinks/munchies we sat at our table.
Mind you this is not a cheap place. If you are looking for a lil bang for your buck then try the happy hour. If you don't mind throwing down some cash for a very nice evening then this is a place to wine and dine:)

Fleming's is a great steak/seafood house that stands toe to toe with any other option in McLean. The only thing that holds it back from the five-star rating that, say, Capital Grille gets from me is the price.

Alas, Fleming's is, in my humble opinion, overpriced. Not to say that the quality of service and food here doesn't call for a hefty bill, but both times I've come here I couldn't help but notice that their prices were just a bit higher than the surrounding competition.

My ribeye this past visit was incredible. Juicy, tender, and incredibly flavorful, it was a divine pleasure from start to finish. The mashed potatoes we ordered along side were also some of the best I can remember tasting.

The cabernet was, as the remainder of the menu is, slightly too expensive- I have personally ordered the exact same bottle at Wildfire across the street for $10 less. Which is indicative of Fleming's entire business approach: charge a little bit more, and chances are people will believe that there's something superior in their preparation than other steakhouses.

It's definitely a wonderful experience, but that approach is, in the end, a falsehood. There are better (read: less pricey) options within a mile's reach, but that doesn't make Fleming's any less delicious while you're there.

We were all just too happy. My husband fell in love with the prime rib and the fact that they indulged him with an end cut, my son loved his petit fillet, my ahi tuna was one of the best I have had, the side of mushrooms was terrific, the loaf of bread was fresh and interesting, but all that pales in comparison with the chocolate lava cake which was perfection. To top it all off we had a discount coupon, which made the whole experience even tastier. The food came fast and the steak was warm, a feat not always accomplished. Granted that Sunday night may not be the time to test the limits of a good restaurant, but there were plenty of customers.
It would have been awesome for my husband's sake if the waitress had known more about alcoholic beverages besides wine, but it did not bother me, since I don't know the difference. Also, I had forgotten to ask for the salad dressing on the side and it was too generously applied, as is often the case. The salad itself was rather meager and not particularly memorable.
Definitely one of the best steakhouses we have been to, even better than the one in Palm Spring and worth looking for in that mess bowl that is now the Northern Virginia area.

I had the prime rib dinner on Sunday and thought it was a great deal. The prime rib tasted great and the service was terrific. I'd like to update my review after we try something else there next time, but the appetizers calamari and pork belly were excellent. I definitely plan to go back soon.

I'm breaking a rule by yelping after just one visit....
(1) For steak (filet m.) is beats BLT - price points comparable with BLT, it beats Rays but then again Rays is much less expensive and as for service, Rays is not in the same league as Flemings.
(2) Have I had comparable or better? sure... at Senarts Chop House and Delmonicos Steakhouse in Las Vegas...
(3) Service was very decent

Cool discovery -- there must be some connection to Arvid (painter)... we have two Arvids we picked up in Hawaii and we felt like we were at home while dining... his work is spectacular! Then, they served Justin wines (small vinyard in California) that we were introduced to by friends last year and we fell in love with their wines. So, needless to say, we had a very special experience at Flemings and an incredible meal.

BEST OF ALL -- the night we went, FREE valet parking!!!!! BONUS.... after living in the District, this is a huge bonus!!!

Tried the peppercorn NY strip and enjoyed very much. The slap came out perfectly broiled and the meat was tender, juicy and flavorful.

This place only gets 3 stars from me. Will I go again?? I wasn't really pleased with the meat. It seemed to be old not very tasteful. All other food was great. I have had beter meat from cosco. The service was excellent and would only go back because of that.

After years of frequenting the area's supposed, leading steakhouses, e.g. BLT, Palms, Smith & Wollensky, Charlie Palmer, District Chophouse, Morton's, Ruth's, Ray's, etc..., I've finally found the best of them all. Flemings reigns, by order of magnitude, in accessibility, impression, service, and most importantly, quality and delivery of their steaks. Note that value didn't make the list.

Yea, the bread and sides are good, but it's all filler relative to the steak. Get the NY strip, medium rare. Trust.

Hands down this is my favorite steak house in Northern VA (and I'm picky about my steak). First of all, I always feel welcome as soon as we walk in the door. My husband and I always come here to celebrate a special occasion and the restaurant keeps a calendar of our special dates! On our anniversary, as soon as we call to reserve a table for that date, they know what we're celebrating! Birthdays? They have those saved too. It feels like such a personalized experience and I'm not sure, but I would guess that they have our booth request saved in there as well, since we stopped having to ask for a booth a while back and are always seated at one. :-)

This past September, a member of the staff took our photo and brought it to us before we left to remember the evening. It was a nice personal touch since we wouldn't have had a picture to remember our anniversary by anyway. Also added to our evening was a box of chef made chocolate truffles and a $25 gift card to return another time.

Ok, to be honest I've never ordered seafood for dinner so I can't write about the Salmon or fresh catches. However, the seafood tower is a great starter. Yes, it's just like the ones you can order at other upscale steakhouses and I would guess the price is about par as well, but we enjoy that they offer a tower for 1-2 that can be split so we don't ruin the main course.

The steaks are wonderful. Bone in fillet has my name all over it every time. I get the larger portion and take the leftovers home to eat with eggs for breakfast the following morning. It's just a couple bucks more for 3 more ounces so I figure why not. The part that puts the steak higher on my list than Morton's and Ruth Chris is the butter. I know that every restaurant steak has added butter, but I have never received my steak in a pool of butter- or worse- with a pat of butter still on top at Fleming's. It completely grosses me out and I like to think they achieved the flavor without a tablespoon of fat added to the top of my steak. Other than that- the cuts of meat are good, they're always perfectly seared on the outside, and cooked to your liking on the inside.

Save room for dessert, the chocolate lava cake is amazing as well as the creme brulee. Also, the wine menu is extensive and recently, they added an electronic menu on an iPad, which I found to be very useful in pairing.

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday this past weekend and had a great experience. Definitely on the pricey side, but I'd go back for another special occasion. We made reservations and were seated as soon as we got there. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the wine was wonderful~ I got the filet oscar, which came with small chunks of crab meat and asparagus spears and my boyfriend got the main filet mignon with peppercorn sauce. We also ordered a side of fleming's potatoes and the mac 'n cheese. The fleming's potatoes were THE best potatoes i've ever had... i think i'd go to fleming's just to order like 5 orders of the potatoes (boyfriend mentioned that might be frowned upon, but seriously, i'd do it). the mac 'n cheese was alright, nothing special about it really, but definitely try the potatoes!

We also ordered a bottle of wine, and i'm kind of kicking myself right now because I can't remember which one. All I remember is that it was pricey, but well worth it for the occasion.

For dessert, we ordered the creme brulee, which was deeeelicious. The portion size was pretty big; I've had it once before at another restaurant, and it was much smaller even though it cost pretty much the same.

On a side note, I was a little disappointed because I had read previous reviews about how they did little special things if they know it's someone's birthday. I had mentioned it over the phone when I was making the reservations, but my boyfriend didn't get anything but a ''happy birthday'' from the hostess and server. No biggie, but it would've been nice if he got a 'lil somethingsomething.

Overall, we both had a great time there. We usually don't splurge like that, so it was nice to get dressed all fancyshmancy to enjoy a wonderful meal. Would definitely love to go back again!

Fleming's steaks are amazing. My friend and I ordered Prime Bone-in Ribeye 14 oz. It was definitely a family portion for us. It was down right delicious, tender and very juicy. It's high in quality and very flavorful. I usually eat my steak with A1 sauce and Tabasco thinking it's the norm. The ribeye we had ordered had plenty of flavors, it would be insulting to the chef to even think about asking for A1 steak sauce. It was that good. Aside from steak, we also ordered crab cakes appetizers and half & half (very crispy french fries and onion rings). The restaurant definitely put a lot of crab meat in the crab cakes.

Wine selection is quite abundance. Each table gets to use an Ipad (I think it was an Ipad) to your own preference in wine. It was a very classy type setting. Our server was very knowledgeable and fast. The whole experience was great.

you know normally i love this place. every time i come here with the boyfriend, they manage to give us one of those beautiful booths on the wall and i feel like royalty. excellent service, delicious food, and i feel like i'm eating the whole time i'm there.

this last time, i was there on the way to the airport and it was just about the biggest disaster ever.

it was dead in there. within a span of five minutes we were approached by four people, and what seemed like four other people that brought waters, etc. i can only assume it was the food runner, bartender, a server, and a server in training, and possibly another set of server/trainee, food runner. yes a lot of attention is great, but it also gives the opportunity for things to be missed.

the ac was blasting and we asked to have it turned down. the bartender said he would check on that, he never did and never checked back with us. so we went back to the hostess stand to move us. she graciously seated us wherever we wanted (guess where we ended up? hehe).

we ordered two soups, two salads, and a cheesecake. the two soups showed up after awhile and we just kept waiting and waiting for the salads. we finally just asked for the cheesecake and it came up right away (yes we had ordered that first so it was already sitting back there waiting for us). but the salads!

anyway, one salad was asked for without onions. there were chopped onions (perhaps in the dressing) and i could see the small red onion chunks so i shyly asked the food runner if they could get me a salad without onions, he goes "there's no onions." being in a rush and wanting to believe him, i set the plate back down in front of me. there were definitely onions. at this point the server came over and asked if everything was ok. i told her that there were onions in the salad and if they could just cancel my salad and fleming's potatoes now that one tablemate was done with their cheesecake and the other was half done with their salad. sigh.

i was hoping to come here for my birthday this weekend if my schedule allows but i am now reconsidering. i guess everyone gets an off day???

Everything about the dinner was great, from the food quality, flavor, presentation, service, and so forth. My wife and I have eaten at a number of steakhouses in DC and Arlington like The Palm and Rays, but we continue to be disappointed in the attention to detail to proper seasoning and temperature on steaks. We were thoroughly (wrinkled brow "oh hell this is delicious") satisfied with our meal, including the wine, sides (cream spinach is great) and lava cake. Jordan was awesome, as was our bartender and two managers that came by our table and even pulled out my chair for me upon return from the restroom.

To the staff: Keep it up everyone, I want to come back now. I believe we'll be skipping out on the palm and you've made me a believer that I can find a better filet than at home (my oven doesn't get to 1600 degrees though so its an unfair fight!)

They do it right. Best steaks in the area, in my opinion and aside from what comes off my grill, and the sides are really good, too...I could eat like three shoefulls of the shoestring fries. So until I start inviting you folks over for my meat, you'll want to consider Fleming's above the numerous other steakhauses in the area.

The service is always outstanding. They really understand the concept of fine dining, yet they are also very friendly in the process. The prices are more reasonable than you would expect (although this is by no means a cheap date). It is my go-to place for special occasions (well, the ones I get to choose). And the bar has even become a popular place for local cougars even though there are only a dozen seats or so. Alright, go get your steak on, your fries on, your wine on, and your middle-aged, software-sales lady on at Fleming's. Happy hunting.

I went to this place for a conference tonight with all the foods paid for. Since it was a company meeting and the menu didn't have any prices listed, so I can't comment on the price. However, the food was excellent in quality, and the servers were courteous and were always ready to take requests. Wines.. please try their wines. It was so tempting to go over my limit because the wine was sooo good.

It was a joyful night with colleagues thanks to the service at Fleming's. I would definitely choose this place for important events in the future.

I really enjoy this steakhouse. The service is always excellent as we have been here several times. We enjoy the large booths surrounding the outside of the place. You would think it wasn't a nice place as it is part of the courtyard marriott, but it is. The decor is nice, and they always have consistent food. Nice selection of meats and seafood. Their flight of wines is also enjoyable.

I enjoy this place as much as Ruth's, Morton's, Ray's and Capitol Grille. It is somewhat cheaper than all of the above except for Ray's.

We arrived early for an event in the attached hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find Happy Hour going on with $5 martinis and cocktails. Also, equally cheap bar food and appetizer plates.

I ordered the raspberry flavored Bombshell martini because, according to the menu, it's only 99 calories. So, no guilt about ordering a second one! My husband had a dirty martini and had no complaints.

For food, we split the Brie in a puff pastry appetizer. It was okay, nothing great, and it comes with just a few little apple slices which, we decided very quickly, was not going to be sufficient. We asked for bread and found that to be a much better pairing than the apples.

We also split the mushroom raviolis. Again, nothing out of this world but decent for the price.

If we find ourselves back at the hotel for some reason, we would definitely give Fleming's another try. It's not a place we'll seek out otherwise though.

AMEX sent me a complimentary $50 gift certificate and I was coaxed into eating at this place when I knew it wasn't going to be up to my expectations.

We had the Fleming's Salad, the main Filet Mignon and the Ribeye.

I don't have much to write about this place because nothing was memorable. I was dissatisfied with the grade of the meat. The meat was on the tougher side and the meat came out medium-ish when I ordered medium rare.

After trying steak at Fleming's I still stand by my opinion that Ray's the Steaks provides the best value for its price for any steak that I have tried in the DC area.

Needless to say, I think it would have been a more prudent idea to have sold that Fleming's gift card on ebay and used the proceeds to eat at Ray's...bummer.

Came here with a gift card... had never noticed this place since it's a bit hidden from the main drag (no huge sign).

Wine list has a good variety and has some fairly upscale choices as well.
The parmasean bread to start off was great, even better was the feta spread.. mmm.

Two of us split the Porterhouse special. Broiled with the black pepper, it was great. Came out with an extra hot plate since we were splitting.
Sides:
Asparagus
Sauteed spinach
Blue cheese mashed potatoes

Sides were delicious... the asparagus could've been better as it seemed they didn't do a good job trimming the ends (some fibrous). potatoes came with a huge dollop of blue cheese (non crumbled)- rich and tasty.

Ordered the lava cake for desert (takes about 20min, so the server was nice enough to come by and ask if we'd like to put our order in)... was excellent, warm running lava center, with ice cream and whipped cream on the side.

overall, great time, great service, great food.

DO NOT ORDER THE APPETIZERS!!! Tastes like frozen food and I'm not joking. Totally not worth for the price.
The rib-eye steak was pretty good but I had better steak for less money. The cashier was friendly but the waitress who served me and my friends was very rude and snobby.
The cup stinks so much I had to ask them to get me another one.

1) Do NOT advertise Luxardo cherries for your Manhattan or old-fashioned and then serve a generic, nuclear red maraschino cherry with the drink.

2) If someone orders the three-course special, make sure you remember to bring them dessert.

Other than that, the food and service were ok.

Fleming's is a solid 2.5 stars. I went for an early happy hour and appetizers, followed by dinner and dessert: Service is good and reasonably fast. The ambiance is kind of a faux-classy, like the feeling you get when you walk into a Cheesecake Factory.

The happy hour specials are not bad for the Tyson's area, and the wines offered are good and generously poured. It seems like a good place for an office happy hour, because although the happy hour selection isn't enormous, it does include wine, beer, cocktails, and food, so there's something for everyone. When we arrived, they were wrapping up a big corporate party, but things seemed pretty organized.

The food, unfortunately, was less impressive than the drinks. The tenderloin carpaccio was really bland. The calamari had a good flavor to it, but about two thirds of it was wet and soggy. For my entree, I got the small plate of scallops. The scallops were very good, but the accompanying vegetables were just blah and unimaginative, not particularly flavorful. The scalloped potatoes were fine, but really nothing special.

I also tried some of the filet mignon. This steak had the distinction of not being enjoyable at all, but not quite bad enough to send back. It was a little too salty and a little too chewy. It was without a doubt the worst steak I've had at this price point, but not disgusting.

For dessert, we split the carrot cake. This is not so much a cake as a gooey, sticky confection covered in frosting, but we still ate most of it. The coffee was nothing special. Halfway through dessert, I started having difficulty breathing and my throat started closing up. This is interesting because I have no food allergies, only allergies to certain artificial chemical flavorings and fragrances (like Irish Spring soap and whatever they use to flavor certain chewing gums). I'm not sure if it was something in the appetizer, entree, or dessert, but this can't be good.

All in all, I was disappointed in the food at Fleming's, particularly when taking into consideration how much better food I've had in the area at the same price or less. I would give it another try for happy hour, but I don't intend to return for a full dinner.

Room temp table bread was generously portioned, though that may have had to do with my dining companion's evident appetite. Wasn't particularly keen on either spread, mealy versus dissonant. Burger requested medium rare and served closer to medium, but still juicy. Fresh veg fixings, patted bacon, just enough melt on the cheddar. Bun wasn't too dense and still held up throughout the meal. Mayo was a turnoff, and I'd pass on the onion rings next time. Tenderloin carpaccio is what's saving this downgrade from a 1-star; capers were appropriately muted, just enough red onion to engage your palate, mustard mild enough to let the beef stand out. The accompanying crisps provided excellent textural contrast.

Time is not kind to all things. Wine dinner menus are overly uninspired compared to before. Happy hour's still decent (limited drink options apply), but service has turned into enough of a shitshow to sour my experience; strongly recommend sitting at the bar.

Fleming's is comparable to a Ruth's Chris or a Morton's. In my opinion, the steaks at Ruth's Chris are a tad more flavorful (maybe because they are doused in butter.....i know, I'm a fatass). With that being said, I still enjoyed my meal from Fleming's.

For the wine lovers, they offer 100 different wines by the glass. Oh and I should note, there is a fantastic daily happy hour. Choose from 5 cocktails, 5 wines by the glass, 5 appetizers or a prime burger with cheese and bacon for $6 each, served at the bar until 7PM. Excellent deal!

My meal started with the Sweet Chile Calamari and the Chipotle Cheddar Mac and Cheese. Both were very good. I wish they offered other dipping sauces for the calamari, I don't care for sweet chile sauce with my calamari. I'm the type of person that can't eat huge meals. Rather, I like to eat smaller portions and get hungry again in another 2 hours (good for the metabolism). The perfect dish for me was the Lite Filet Mignon - 6oz served with au gratin potatoes. It was a perfect portion size and came with a small portion of potatoes, which was nice.

Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Super surprised by this place! I have to admit, the only reason we decided to have dinner at Fleming's because my bf got a $50 gift card from AMEX. I didn't think too much of this place, but it's pretty nice. An older crowd of business men/women. I mean the restaurant is surrounded by tons of companies and it's in a Courtyard Marriott.

so the food was really good. First off, the bread was amazing and I loved the two spreads. I think we filled up on bread bc it was soooo good! For my entree, I ordered the special they had that day which was a stuffed pork dish with lots of veggies and mashed potatoes. It was the perfect portion size for me...even though we took half to go bc i couldn't finish it. My bf got the bone-in rib eye which was ridiculously huge, juicy and tender. We also ordered the Chipotle Cheddar Mac and Cheese and a loaded baked potato. Loved every bit of the meal. We even got a cheesecake dessert that came with my meal... oh we also got a house salad as part of my meal as well. We basically packed up most of our meal bc the portion size was huge..but we thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. I want to go back again to try the prime rib special on sundays!!

good stuff!!

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is a chain restaurant. For those of you that know me, I usually stay away from chain restaurants... but considering I was on a business trip in McLean, VA with no rental car, this was one of the better choices around to eat within walking distance from my hotel.

Very classy environment.

Between my colleague and I, we split the following:
1) Seared Ahi Tuna - had a very nice mustard sauce with it

2) New Zealand Lamb Chops - 3 double thick chops broiled, madeira sauce - DELISH!

3) Mashed Potatoes with Roasted Garlic - I really enjoyed the Roasted Garlic.

4) Chipotle Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese - who doesn't love Mac & Cheese?

5) Chocolate Lava Cake - MUST GET!
- rich chocolate cake with a molten chocolate center, served with vanilla ice cream and chopped pistachios
http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

We each ordered a drink... and neither of us liked it. Avoid the Caipirinha Cooler and the Whiskey Rebellion!

On the bright side, they have a Happy Hour Special:
5 cocktails, 5 wines by the glass and 5 appetizers. $6 each, served at the bar until 7 PM. Just be sure to stick to the wine. Avoid the cocktails.

ENJOY! Get the New Zealand Lamb Chops and the Chocolate Lava Cake.
