Milton's is quickly becoming my new favorite dive bar. It has every divey quality you could ever need...steady stream of regular patrons, cheap drinks, late hours, massive barricade on the door in case of zombie apocalypse (okay maybe I've seen Shaun of the Dead a few too many times on that last one...but Milton's really does remind me of The Winchester).
Placed perfectly atop Prospect Hill Milton's Prospect Hill Tavern offers cheap drinks, tolerable beers on draft, a thriving "to-go beer" business, and late hours. I think what I love most about Milton's is that when the popular bars (Neon's, Japps, MOTR) are completely packed you can ALWAYS get a drink at Milton's and even play a few rounds of pool. Â Also, don't forget to take in the scenery my favorite being the Jackalope displayed prominently in the front room.
Man alive this place is a perfect mix of hilarious and amazing.
My roommate and I just moved about 2 blocks away a month ago now and Milton's has become one of the best reasons for the move.
Milton's is the type of neighborhood bar that somehow manages to please everyone. The drinks are cheap, strong and the bartenders do it all without a hint of pretension.
If just sidling up the bar or sitting at a first-floor table isn't your thing, upstairs has a pool table and shuffleboard table.
For me, Milton's is the perfect place to have a couple beers or put on an epic nightcap to a great night out.
