Straits Restaurant

Gave three starts because the service was away to slow.

Another great restaurant in City Centre.

Came for dinner Sat night around 8:00 and got one of the last remaining tables. Since it was our first time we got a free appetizer which was horrid. A dry pancake type dish with dipping sauce that tasty nothing but fried.

Tried the lychee martini, can you say heaven in a glass?! OMG,,,so good.

Started with the crab cakes which were very good and not too bready , very flaborful.

For dinner my friend had the salt and pepper chicken with the spicy jalapeno cilantro sauce. That sauce blew him away. LOL .I had the sambal prawns with a spicy chile tomato sauce, they were delicious. We also split some coconut rice.

They have a nice lounge area with indoor and outdoor seating and club music plays throughout the entire restaurant giving it a modern feel. The bathrooms are straight out of Asia, with stalls for men or women but a shared sink area. Very cool lighting too.

AFter a hard day of shopping the following day I came back for another of those delicious martinis and sat in the bar area where I was served by a super friendly tattood bulldog owning gentleman.

All the servers here were nice and friendly. I'll be back!!

I loved the food here! And their Lychee martini is amazing :D
