Good place to watch sports.  Service is slow and food OK.

    New managers come
To sports bar in old firehouse,
    Serve up average fare.

This place is kind of awkward. It's a large sports bar and restaurant but you may be the only person there. This is always a deal-breaker for me. The food was nothing special and it took a long time to come. I'm not really into the sports bar thing, so I won't be going back.

This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant/bar.  I was there to watch a local basketball game where a local radio station was hosting an event.  Despite the radio promo, the NCAA tournament, and St Patrick's day crowd - they only had 2 servers for the entire bar and restaurant.  It was like pulling teeth to just get a beer.

It took 45 minutes before we got up to request to put in an order.  Upon hearing our request - the waitress proceeded to clear tables (that no one was waiting for) for another 15 minutes.  We asked yet another server at the bar to place an order and were completely unsure if we'd ever get it.  After a slight eternity, our beers arrived, followed by the food.  I had ordered the chili cheese dogs - which arrived with absolutely no chili on them.  Too hungry and impatient to wait for a correction - I ate them, but they were completely forgettable. The hot dog buns were stale and hot dogs luke warm.

Of course, it was ages before someone came to see if we wanted our check or anything else.  This was the first time I've ever felt completely cheated out of my time spent somewhere.  The absolutely terrible service, forgettable food, and smokey environment - it's safe to say I'll never return.

Although I am usually not a big fan of sports bars, met the new owner last night - and he's done a ton of work on the place. It's in an old firehouse from 1860, so there are some neat historical/architecture elements they are bringing back. They've opened the once closed second floor and the patio will be a blast when the summer comes. Oh and did I mention he has installed THE goal post from the Bengals Miami Superbowl on the patio?

Have to say I haven't tried the food, and hope they will expand their beer selection soon, but it's always exciting (at least for me) to experience a work in progress when you can tell it will be done right. Wifi there too so this may end up being one of my biz meeting locations in the NKY.

Not so good food.  Our sandwiches were soggy and the service was slow.

The last few times we've been here there has been an issue with one or more of the big screen televisions. The drink service is speedy, but food service is very slow.

Plus, no hot water in the restroom sinks. That always scares me, as the servers and cooks probably wash their hands there, too.
