Not the type of bar I would normally go to, but hanging with the locals and living it up with my friends was grand.

The Clock is awesome. You typically can get in and out of here in under 20 bucks with a solid buzz.

It's for the people who look at Shennanigans next door and go "uhh... no thank you"

It's for the people who want to sit at the bar, and have a drink. Maybe get a scratch ticket, and if your buddy came with you, maybe get a game of pool in.

It's for the people who want to drink. Alcohol. It's that kind of place. Go and enjoy.

I was meeting up with a large group of friends, initially at Shennanigan's next door. As we were trying to get in there, there was a fight breaking out on the door way. We decided it would be best to go to the clock tavern next door. What a great idea. Quiet enough to hear everyone talk, good music playing. Very reasonable pricing on drinks. Great place to go if you want to meet up with a bunch of friends and actually talk to them. Chill laid back environment.

This place is great. i can walk 1 block and get $1.50 drafts. They have darts, pool, big buck hunter and a decent internet juke box. This is the place where we at least start the night. The tv's are also decent.

This is a no nonsense boozer. People are very friendly here and, best of all, they let me take my dog in. Buy!

More time here has required a needed bump in stars. The Clock Tavern is the perfect "economic hard times" bar. Drafts are $1.50, mixed drinks are $3.75, and a game of pool is $1 (on paycheck weeks, you can splurge for the $2 Big Buck Hunter.  Hey there Big Spender!).  I really can't justify NOT going out when a month's worth of getting bombed is cheaper than my cable bill. My liver may not thank you Clock, but my wallet certainly does.

For $1.50 drafts of light beer, Keno, and one of those Internet jukes, the Clock is a dive full of locals and post-college co-eds. I went here on a Saturday night around 11 and it was dead...but maybe because the place closed at 11:30. Whoever heard of a Boston bar closing at 11:30 when everything else closes at 2 a.m.?

While it has gotten prettier in the last few months, The Clock still has the old tavern feeling where locals can mingle with the lads over a few pints and a game of pool. Prices for beer are pretty cheap and there is a good selection. The staff is friendly and glad to serve you. There is always a game of soccer, baseball or football (American or Gaelic) on the nice flat screen TVs. Its a great place to hang out after work and chat with friends.

The Clock was recently revamped and looks all classy inside and stuff.  I haven't been to the new incarnation, but the old one was a good time when we got tired of the Shennany's scene.
