A great place to go for some drinks and watch all sports games. Â I've been going to Glory Days since I was in high school. Â The only difference then was that I had to walk away from the bar and not to it. Â I've tried this Centreville location for the past few times after being a regular at the Fairfax location. Since moving to Centreville I've had a great time at this location and the bartender has been great always trying to be friendly and remember names. Â It can get absolutely ridiculous during the football season or hockey season but during soccer season or baseball season its a great place to sit back and relax and enjoy the good times. Â The drinks that I received from the bartender were good and strong and the appetizers and the burgers made the it a great time to watch my beloved Espana play their game (even if they lose). Â To enjoy this place you have to set your expectations accordingly and realize this is a loud and noisy bar with a few tipsy people. If this is your scene for a particular day try it out. If not, look elsewhere as there are other places further east that can bring that atmosphere.
Review Source:Its about time to give this Glory Days a little love. Â We've been coming here for a long time for semi regular happy hours and occasional meals. Â It's great place to try and catch a game when you have your family with you. Â I've had much of their menu over the years but am impressed by their often changing specials. Â I was again surprised over the weekend by their Cobb salad. Â In an attempt to try and be 'good' I got the Cobb with the dressing on the side. Â It is a large salad to be fair, and the dressing was bacon ranch, not your normal ranch. Â I'm a bit of a lettuce snob, and couldnt find one objectionable piece. Â
During the NFL season this place gets super packed of people wanting to watch the out of market games. Â Tables do not usually open up. Â The wait staff is great about letting you hang out and watch the whole game, but we always order a lot of food and beer.
Glory Days has good comfort food at a reasonable price in a noisy sports bar atmosphere. You can bring your kids without worrying about bothering others because between the TVs and loud chatter, no one will likely notice obnoxious kids.
We're vegetarians and they have veggie burgers, Mac N Cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches to keep us happy.
The four stars is based on the assumption you like this kind of restaurant. Obviously this is not the place for quiet, intimate dining.
Love Glory Days! Â It's one of our "go-to" places when we feel like relaxing, hanging out, or having a great burger. Â Monday nights all of their burgers are $5.55, Tuesday nights they have a hot dog special, and I think Wednesdays are Wing Nights. Â After 9 p.m., most of their appetizers are at the special price of $5.
We've been coming here since my son was little (he's now 18). Â They used to have a crane machine that he spent much of my hard earned money on, but it was a nice family night and still is. Â Every square inch of wall space is taken up with TVs, so don't expect a lot of peace and quiet. Â It's a sports bar, but feels more like a family-friendly mom and pop place. Â
I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Â The chicken Philly sandwich is terrific, and the burgers I mentioned are juicy and satisfying. Â Some of their newer menu items are great too -- soft pretzels with crab dip, "rippers" (grilled hot dogs), and soft pretzel sticks with mustard sauce -- are some of the best. Â Their crab cake is sensational, and don't forget to try their cornbread with honey butter. Â Both are phenomenal.
If you're expecting haute cuisine look elsewhere - and have less fun. Â In fact, if "haute cuisine" means something to you, stop reading. 8^)
For my family, $5 burger night is a real winner. It is for our neighbors too. Â We've been regulars for years, sharing good food and good company. Â We're on a first name basis with management and staff and are always treated well.
Currently we're all over the crab pretzel appetizer but we've been up and down the menu and have always come home satisfied. Â It certainly doesn't hurt that Glory Days is so kid friendly... Â Everything's just easy which makes the night out very relaxing.
Bottom line: If you're looking for a family friendly restaurant that's a great value, you'll be happy. Â If you're looking for dinner jackets, continue on.

My family and I just returned from the Centreville, VA Glory Days and we were not at all pleased with our experience. To say it was bad would be an understatement. I've written the manager of this location and to the corporate office and so far have received no reply. Plainly unacceptable.
When we arrived around 6:30 p.m on Friday, September 28, we had to wait a short while before being seated, but when we were seated our waitress greeted us with a harumph and then went on to explain that the restaurant had flooded, she'd been on her feet since 10:30 this morning without a break, and that they were overwhelmed with so many people all wanting to eat at once. I looked around and while all the tables were full (Friday night at 6:30), there did not appear to be a throng of customers waiting.
We placed our order (two turkey bacon sandwiches, two mac&cheese burgers and a kid's plate of chicken fingers and pretzels) and placed a drink order. The drinks arrived quickly, but the rest of the food took forever. The pretzels easily took 20 minutes and the entrees took an additional 20. Between courses, no plates were cleared away and empty drink glasses cluttered our table.
When my son's mac&cheese burger arrived, it was nearly raw inside and cold to the touch -- a significant health code violation.
We asked to have one that had been properly cooked. Our waitress first told us that she would have the half-cooked burger put back on the grill. I said that was not an adequate solution and asked for a new burger (which took another 20 minutes to arrive). Meanwhile, my two sons needed to use the restroom. One went back and discovered that both restrooms were out of service and that there was a sign on the door sending Glory Days guests to a Dairy Queen restaurant three doors away. When we went there, there was a long line of GDG customers and staff waiting to use their meager facilities.
This is a direct health code violation and is cause to close the restaurant until the problem is resolved! Chapter 43.1 of the Fairfax County Code is very clear on this matter:
"Section 6-402.11 is amended to read:
Public toilet rooms shall be provided for CONSUMERS whenever seating for CONSUMERS is provided on the premises. CONSUMERS shall not be permitted to gain access to toilet rooms by passing through a kitchen, food preparation, food storage, or utensil washing area. Toilet rooms shall be conveniently located and accessible to EMPLOYEES during all hours of operation. Toilet rooms must be entirely separate and apart from any rooms or areas used for utensil washing or for the manufacture, storage, and handling of food products. Public and employee toilet facilities shall be installed according to and in the number required by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC). (14-01-43.1; 21-06-43.1)"
It boggles the mind that this restaurant would continue to operate given this gross violation of County Ordinances.
We did not speak to a manager at this point (if anyone was even around) because frankly we were too frustrated and tired to even ask and then have to wait. I sincerely hope that GDG will take the time to train its staff in:
1) Basic food safety and health code violations in addition to food-borne illness prevention
2) Train serving staff on how to approach and greet customers, provide food in a timely way and make for a warm and inviting atmosphere
3) Train managers and staff on Fairfax County Code and especially on what is required to even have a business open for customers.
4) Managers to be empowered to make decisions regarding closing operations temporarily if continuing operations would jeopardize safety of customers or staff, or be in direct violation of the law.
I like Glory Days Grill. I really do. It's not usually the kind of place that I like because it's a sports bar and grill and I don't like noise or watching sports on TV (usually, but I like ice skating and seeing baseball in person). But, I really like Glory Days! When I'm sick in bed and we have to go through the short Rolodex of places I like takeout from Glory Days is the first one I want when I have an appetite. I love the grilled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese and bacon (so obviously it can't be too regular of a deal!) but it's really smoky and it's large so it can work for a day where you have or will eat lighter. It's a treat but it's oh, so yummy! Â But, I decided to branch out and have more than my one regular item on the menu that I eat (I'm picky, and I have some food allergies namely- shellfish!). I mean what better occasion then seeing family you haven't seen in awhile to be whimsical? Right?
I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sliders...

Definitely a fan of Glory Days!
I went once for Happy Hour and LOVED the $2.99 margarita I got. It wasn't loaded with mix and tasted like it was made from scratch. Went again a week later to watch college football. We were able to find a high-top for the UGA game and had excellent service. The server also apologized that my nachos sat in the window for a little while (I couldn't tell), so he brought me another order. I can definitely appreciate excellent customer service, so they deserve 4 stars from me.
Our first day at the Centreville location and we were dissappointed with the quality of the food and the restaurant in general. Â Understand it was a busy weekend but the place was just dirty. Â Our table wasn't clean, and the sound box was cover with BBQ sauce. Â What was really bad was my cobb salad had a big piece of foil. Â The manager took it off the bill. Â We couldn't finish the rest of the food and left. Â We definitely won't be back for a while.
Review Source:Yikes.
The only thing this place has going for them is ... the outdoor patio? Which looks oh so fabulously ghetto. Who comes here to eat? Gross. The inside of the restaurant reaks of piss and dirty dish water. Actually walking into this place reminds me of re-runs of Bar Rescue and I almost immediately lose my taste for even a beer in this dump. Yeah they have tvs, yeah they have huge portions (like you or anyone needs that much in one sitting), and it's somewhat family friendly but that doens't make up for all the other unappeitizing fouls. Eh like I said the patio is a plus if you're in tow with a dog or an animal behaved friend but then again you're probably just going to be surrounded by smokers. EWWWWWWW. Dog/animal behaved like friend water bowls are a plus! Otherwise definitely skip this place.
Do you want a beer and wings before or after Spa World? Cause you're in luck! This is right down the way in the same shopping center, and like all glory days has a good menu, but nothing for the eating light crowd.
I love their gluten free options for wings and fries, and their buffalo chicken dip appetizer served with tortilla chips.
Not a huge bar area, so get here early on NFL Sundays or for the big game, but enough TV's and good atmosphere that spots and fried food fans will enjoy.
American Food, large portions, tons of tv's and beer. Â I'm sorry, but we need places like these. Â The service is always great and the drinks are good. Â People expecting anything more or less are the kind of people that shouldn't come here anyways. Â
One thing: Â They have an OREO ice cream sandwich...it is excellent!
Glory Days has some great specials. Â Monday night classic burgers with fries for $5.55 each, a similar Tuesday night hot dogs special, and $5 appetizers after 9 PM, everyday.
Â
Happy hour drink prices are good but the drink prices outside of happy hour are extremely high.
The buffalo wings are great, they are big and meaty. Â The hot buffalo sauce is my favorite. Â Not too hot and there is just enough sauce. Â The medium is more of a dry rub or sauce-less heat. Â Not very good at all.
Service is usually very good, even when they are busy. Â There is only one server that I try to avoid.
If there is a wait you need to stay on top of the hosts because they get easily confused between the walk-in wait list and the call ahead wait list. Â Redskins and Capitals games are a guaranteed wait.
Â
A recent upgrade on the televisions replaced all the tube TVs with flat screens. Â It is loud in there and not very many of the table speakers work so do not plan on hearing what you want to watch.
Overall, this location is a great place to watch a game and grab some good bar food and beers.
In the interest of full disclosure my softball team comes here often, like after almost every game often. Â The beer is cold and the wings are as described.
We've never had a problem getting prompt refills, and there's TV's basically covering the walls.
If you come here expecting fine dining and a professional service you've lost your mind, it's a pre-packaged sports bar and they do that pretty well. Â This has been contrary to my experience at other Glory Days that I've dined at.
I always order my burger 1 or 2 levels on the rare side or you'll end up with something that resembles a charcoal briquette. Â $5.55 burgers on Mondays too!
They usually have a couple of interesting beers on tap also, last weekend I had a Koko Brown Ale from Kona Brewing and it was fantastic!
My daughter and I went for lunch. It was quite and as we left later people began to come in for the caps'-rangers game. After sitting, the waitress asked my three year old what she wanted! Then she suggested "do you want a burger?". Little girl said "yes" Waitress: "do you want fries with that". Little girl: "yes". WTF? since when do you expect little girls to order? Anyways I clarified that she was not gonna order her own meal...I was ordering for her. So I ordered some soup and salad and a half sandwich for the two of us. When the food came she brought all that and the fucking burger and fries that a 3 yr old supposedly ordered!!!
Review Source:HIT-OR-MISS SERVICE
I tend to like places like these, including the Glory Days in Fairfax, so a three-star rating is a little low. Overall, the service is adequate, but once in a while you'll get some shoddy service. The most recent visit was a carry-out order. I told the Eminem-wannabe very clearly that I wanted 24 Glory wings, 12 Bourbon, and 12 Smokey BBQ. My friend and I both saw him write it down. Somehow, he entered it into the computer as 12 Glory and 12 Bourbon, so we had to redo our order and wait longer. Not only that, but he blamed me, saying, "You never said Glory wings," which is funny because we saw it on his pad...and the wrong order had 12 Glory in it! Apparently, he couldn't just admit he was wrong and apologize.
Then, he said he canceled my credit card charge, but when I asked to get a VOID-ed receipt (I couldn't trust the guy), he went to the back and supposedly spoke to his manager about it. He came back with the new receipt (the second order that my friend paid for anyway) with the word "VOID" written on it. Clearly, he hadn't spoken to the manager, and he was handing me a receipt for the wrong order. Instead of service, all he was doing was trying to save face.
Putting in an order for wings has apparently become rocket science for some people.
Either way, these kinds of experiences won't happen all the time and you'll still get Glory Days' excellent wings. I just wish they hired more selectively. It almost left a really bad taste in our mouths that night (pun intended). A simple "I'm sorry about that, let me fix that for you" would have made everyone happy.
This Glory Days location in Centreville suburbia is half grill restaurant and half sports bar and has the feel of a neighborhood joint with a mix of regulars, families and post-game softball teams. During the week it can be lively on game night or half-dead. Enjoy the $5 burger Mondays, late-nite HH half-price apps after 9pm and $2 domestic drafts. The burgers have a nice char-grilled crust - there's one that comes with BBQ pulled pork that's like two sandwiches in one - and the onion rings are good too.
Review Source:Glory Days Grill was about to get a three star review from me for their friendly service, good beer and decent food...until one of the waiters inattentively crashed into my son's head with a large plate causing a big bump on the poor kid's head (followed by a big commotion by my husband and half-hearted apology by the offending server.) Â Needless to say, we will not be back.
Review Source:Used to be better....
Now I only go on burger monday's and after nine for cheap apps.
Honestly I was there last week and the burger was so undercooked and almost raw. I hate to complain and was forced to only cause it wouldn't of been save to eat. But it's fun during football season and the wings are great!
I agree with Amanda E. It definitely is the worst of the Glory Days in the area and I love the food chain. Even though I live in Centreville, I will go out to the one in Fairfax.
Once, I brought some friends here and it was horrible. One had a hair in his vegetables and everyone's food was too salty. I'll attribute that to them having a really bad day because I've always enjoyed my food at the other Glory Days.
Two stars in terms of the other Glory Days Grill locations. Definitely the smallest, and unfortunately, the most inattentive service among its teammates. If you're local to Centreville it probably doesn't matter.
The bar is smaller, but the large booths serve as private bars. Always good beer on tap served cold.
This is the first location where my "extra crispy/double cooked" wing order came out bone dry. Extra points for $5 apps after 9pm (every day of the week, I believe)
I would say this Glory days is no better or no worse than every other Glory Days I have been to. Â Food has always been good (but not spectacular) and service has always been good. Â We had a large party and the servers were very attentive to our needs and even moved some tables together for us. Â I really like this chain's buffalo chicken and crab dip appetizers.
Review Source:They're open until midnight except Sundays (11 pm).
A fun place for heavy drinking, sports fans, and cigarette smokers. Otherwise, it might be a bit noisy. Â People were yelling at the t.v. screens.
I have a good memory of drinking way too much there one night. The nice thing is that there is another bar next door to stumble into when you're done obliterating your dignity with beer and cocktails.
3.5 but bear with me.
so, visiting NoVa is always an experience for me. and i always have a fun time. but BUT this is the first time that i had to be away...on a sunday...DURING FOOTBALL SEASON!
so, i like football, and yes i am a green bay packer fan. and to make up for a less than stellar saturday night, dan agreed that we could find a place that plays the packers and have lunch and a couple beers.
enter glory days. it was packed. PACKED. Â and loud, but they had bunches of tvs the food was pretty decent (hello, chicken wing dip? where have you been all my life?)
and how 'bout those packers?
Pretty good. It  is pretty standard fare, good stuff if you are in the mood for American style and are dying for a burger! The blue cheese burger with bacon was very good and the salads are HUGE.
Bad thing is that it is really loud in there. They have the tv and you can turn the station at your table to whatever tv you want to watch, but the ceilings are high so you get a lot of background noise, just annoying chatter.
Good place but not much different from all the other chains around town.
