I have been going to Orleans for some time now and my experiences started off fantastically. Since that first time, however, the food and service have been sub-par. Davis Square is a place that you can have food and good times nearly anywhere, but I was very hopeful for Orleans. The service when I first started going seemed more like a fine-dining experience while still having a "laid back" feel. Now, servers seem either over or under worked. This past time a server was talking about how she ate french fries off customers plates and that this always happened everywhere she worked. When we asked for bread, the waitress told us she would have to charge us, which we didn't mind. When we got it, however, the bread was completely burned. The food always seems at least "ok," but the price Orleans charges really doesn't correlate to this experience. The drinks are very inconsistent. My favorite drink, which I actually first had at Orleans, is their John Dally, but, depending on the bartender, the drink could either be perfect or extremely alcoholic.

Overall, I have given Orleans many chances but I doubt I will be returning.

The service is iffy. I've sat at the beer for a good 15 minutes while the place was dead and still never saw a bar tender. I once waited so long I left.

Food is ok. Many better options in the David Sq/N Cambridge area.

Skip this place. There is much better food to be had in Davis Square, and just about anywhere will have better service. My party showed up for our 6 PM Sunday dinner reservation, and the place was completely empty. Yet our food took nearly an hour to get to us. In the meantime I was served a flat Coke and a room temperature lemonade. The waitress acted as if she had never known that Coke could go flat. I waited tables for years and I know when someone is "in the weeds" and needs to be cut some slack. She wasn't -- she just wasn't a good server. She had no other tables.

My generic turkey chili wasn't worth the wait. I could have made it myself in that time. The appetizers came out after the entrees. I know this place makes its money as a bar moreso than a restaurant, but they should just tear out the dining tables, put in some pool tables, and be strictly a bar without food. Yuck.

This restaurant would be a good candidate to be on the reality TV show "Kitchen Nightmares." I'd like to see Gordon Ramsey unleashed in their kitchen and service floor. This meal was truly a nightmare worthy of his wrath.

I found a large broken plate shard in my quesadilla here the other night. When I bit into it, I really was hoping it was just a bone or something, but no, definitely a piece of ceramic plate. The grittiness against my teeth and brittle nature of the shard was a dead giveaway. I think that's sufficient reason to never again eat at or visit this shithole.

The food and drinks are quite good; I especially like the Asian duck tacos, the citrus and beet salad, and the butternut squash ravioli. But there are plenty of places in this neighborhood with good food. What really sets Orleans apart is the consistently great service. I had the same server (Kerry Lynne) the last few times I was there, and she's super efficient and professional, but also very personable and friendly. It makes the evening a lot of fun.

I must admit, Orleans was never my go-to spot.
But often times, there were lines wrapped around the block for other bars on Fridays and Saturdays, and my friends and I would find ourselves here. There were often quite a few folks there, but we were always able to get a table.
Their appetizers were always pretty good, especially their nachos, and their drinks were strong. I remember the service and pricing being pretty reasonable, too.

So much beer and drink selection. Surprisingly the food was good too (which is not the case in many places in Boston). I really liked their Nachos.

Just had dinner here after seeing an early show at the Davis Square Theatre. Its like an upscale 99 (for locals), but the staff was really friendly and we were seated immediately even though we were early for our http://opentable.com reservation. I ordered the fish tacos and I cannot believe anything thinks the order was small - there were three tacos with plenty of really crispy fish with a great sauce; guac, sour cream and salsa in cute little cups rounded out the dish. If I thought fish tacos were reheatable, I would have taken the leftovers. Husband got the quesadillas and scarfed them down, and he never finishes anything.
I wouldn't recommend this place if you are interested in fine dining, but if you are looking for a burger joint with some options, its a good choice. Great for kids, too.

I went there on a Sunday morning for breakfast with my husband, sister and brother-in-law. The bar itself is spacious, and a great place for a drink in the summer. However we had their breakfast this morning and I ordered the breakfast burrito. When it came to the table I noticed it was quite large and yes scrambled eggs were part of the burrito but not the only thing. A few beans, sparse pico de gallo and cheese. apparently there is rice in in it as well. Also they grill their tortilla so all I could taste was charcoal. I literally couldn't eat it. Our waitress was okay, she brought us extremely strong coffee and dropped a few half and half packets on the table. I ended up asking for a serving of proper milk. Overall not a great experience and would not recommend it to friends.

I rarely give a one star review, but I have little good to say about the food or service here.

We got sparse service and the dollar oysters. Considering the plethora of dollar oyster options in Metro Boston, we know price does not equal quality, but this is far and away the worst set of oysters I EVER had. I stopped eating after eating one. I love oysters, it's damn near impossible for me to not want to eat them, but there we are.

We also got tacos, which were small and not worth the price.

The beers were actually about a dollar cheaper than average and the venue is awesome, especially for the warm months when they can open their windows.

I hope this was a fluke.

As a Tufts student, this restaurant was about the only place in Davis that I have yet to visit. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and provides an intimate first date like setting.

My girlfriend and I were surprised by their slightly pricey entrees, so we stuck to the salad/ sandwich options. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of their Beet and Onion Salad, as well as their Carribean Chicken Sandwich.

The Chicken sandwich perfectly blended avocado, Bacon, and chicken with a delectable sauce. Plus the sandwich was ridiculously sized. The fries that came with the entree were delicious with their blend of Honey Mustard.

The Beet and Onion Salad offered a delicious blend of Sweet beets, tangerine, goat cheese and vinaigrette. I could hardly finish the tremendous portion of salad they gave us. (Especially after the heaping helping of some kind of light cornbread and hummus served beforehand).

I would definitely visit this place again, but due to budgetary constraints I would definitely avoid the main entree section lol. (Life as a grad student lol)

We just came back from here for brunch, and it seemed a little disorganized - probably because of the New Year's holiday. It didn't seem ridiculously packed, but we waited over an hour for our food, and the waitress seemed to be hiding. Had to ask twice for hot sauce for my eggs. Food itself was good, or from what I could taste after wolfing it down because we were all pretty starving - coffee wasn't great. I had the American breakfast, which was a good size and delicious. I loved how they brought out toast before our meal with butter and mini chocolate chip muffins, though :)

I've been there a few times for dinner and may try brunch there again - just probably not on a holiday.

I just got take out from Orleans tonight- the service was great, the food, not so much. I ordered the seared salmon with "risotto" and mac and cheese. The salmon was mediocre, but the "risotto" was just long grain white rice with peas and ham. The mac and cheese was the quality of the stuff you get at your local chain grocery store. If thats was $30 get you at Orleans, I don't think i will ever go back....

Ok, so here we go.
I went there last night, them ambiance was pretty nice, but it was to quiet. There was no music playing, or tv volume because they were gonna have trivia.

When trivia happened, 3 or 4 times, the person who was asking the questions played the same song twice in a row.

That being said, our waitress was very friendly, and we had the chicken dumplings i believe, which were great. I remember saying that i could have just that all nigh long. And i should've.

So we place an order for the entree, my friend got a pasta dish, and i got the "Salmon".

15 minutes later for my surprise, we get 2 of the same dishes. "I thought you said same"
Now, keep in mind that I am not one of those people that complain about everything. As a matter of fact, i never complain. You serve me chicken when i ordered steak, i still eat it.
Problem is, i didn't want that dish, but i didn't want my friend to keep waiting for my correct dish and have a cold entree. At this point, the waitress should've offered to give us the dish for free. I would've eaten it, and probably would've been happy.

Except, i made the mistake to request for the salmon, nicely i must add.

I was by far, out of the 27 years in my life, the worst dish i have ever had in a restaurant. As i said, i'm not the type that complains, i still ate it, i was very hungry. I still gave the waitress a nice $15.00 tip, i understand mistakes happen, but i was very unsatisfied with the service and food of this place.

2 stars for the beers and the chicken dumplings.

Don't recommend it at all.

It's time to take it up a notch Orleans. You're in a great location but your drinks are terrible. And you were out of almost everything my friends asked for. Come on! Shape up and get back to it!!!!

Orleans is an OK place. Both visits get a 3 star.

My first trip included 1.5 doz of their $1 raw oysters (weekday 3-7pm), pulled pork empanadas, grande chili nachos, and ribeye steak. Oysters were 'somewhat' fresh. Pork empanadas had a flaky shell and sweet BBQ flavor - it was good!

Second visit was on Taco Tuesdays. Oysters were not fresh. Blackened shrimp tacos were delightful. Good cajun spiced shrimp with a tangy slaw. An order of $6 came with 2 soft tacos.

I've only ever been here once so maybe it was a lucky visit but all the food we ate was a cut above what we expected.

I was in town for a work conference but had the evening off so I met a couple friends from high school for dinner. We started with drinks then split boneless chicken wings and got a few entrees including the brie and mushroom pizza, the pastrami sandwich, and the meatloaf. My drink - The Cure - was a mixture of light beer with ginger liquer and lime and some other stuff. My friend said it was like a 'manly sangria - a mangria!.' Well, manly or whatever, it was refreshing and tasty and suited this lady.

The boneless chicken wings were awesome but really, when have I met boneless chicken wings I did not like? So there's that. The pastrami was good but won't be giving any famous Jewish delis a run for their money. The brie and wild mushroom pizza was delicious. And HUGE. It came as a long rectangular thing sliced into six flat portions. You'll be taking leftovers. The winner of the evening was probably the meatloaf which had this rich, spicy, tangy brown sauce and some crisp at the edges. I never thought meatloaf could be so flavorful. Definitely not most of the meatloaf I've ever tasted.

We finished with the chocolate lava cake. Not a bite left. Mmm mmm good.

Our server couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful in offering menu advice. Also, despite the karaoke going on at the other side of the bar, we could still hear each other just fine and we were kind of entertained. Maybe this place doesn't know if it's a restaurant or a sports bar, but that doesn't really matter. It had the casual ambiance of a sports bar but with the upgraded food of a restaurant. Decent perks from both worlds. Next time I'm in Boston, I'd plan to go back.

Meh. This place is so hit or miss. I've had food that was so horrible that I've had to send it back (super dry pulled pork that looked disgusting during their "taco night" special - - it clearly had been sitting under a heat lamp all night, drying out and looked gross), but on the other hand I've had some tasty food there (the steak tips were delicious and the mashed potatoes and green beans that came with them rocked).

The real problem is that Orleans is never consistent when it comes to food. Also, I agree with other posters who said that this place doesn't know what it wants to be - - is it a nice place for dinner, or a loud sports bar? It is somewhere in between, with loud karaoke thrown in the mix. Will I got there again? Probably, it is local and close to home, so it is convenient to grab a bite when every other place in the square has a line out the door. But would I recommend it to a friend visiting Davis Square? Um, no.

I've eaten here over a dozen times and the quality of the food is hit or miss. Occasionally, the meal is good, and I've only gotten sick from the "special" once. I guess that's what makes it "special" ...right?

Orleans confuses me. Are they a sports bar or a restaurant?

The comfortable booths and tables make it look like a restaurant where you could enjoy a nice meal.

But, when we've eaten dinner here during a game night, it's been quite unpleasant. Imagine sitting at a table having a meal and conversation and having to listen to the patrons at the bar scream and yell expletives every time a team scores, a player fouls out, or there's an upset. It was difficult to have normal dinner conversation.

On our most recent visit, we were greeted a hostess wearing plastic flip-flops on her cute lil' unpedicured hooves. Not exactly the dining attire one would expect to see on a hostess' feet in a restaurant. When we asked for a table outside, she rolled her eyes and sighed. Excuse me?! Why is you hating your job my problem? Our waiter was an airhead. He messed up the order and didn't try to fix it. He just made some hand-wave-in-the-air gesturing and walked away. We paid our bill and left.

Summary:
While it might look like a restaurant, it behaves like a sports bar.

Have not gone here for food but we did stop in the other day for a quick drink. I had the Mexican Kiss. It was one of the best drinks I've had around.

The food seemed normal and the prices were moderate but they all seemed very generic. They let us sit outside even though we just wanted drinks and the place overall seemed to be well staffed and but not too busy.

It's a bar. They have booze. I hardly ever go here (couple of times a year) but I recognize that it's nice to have around.

I always have a good time but I never feel like it's because Orleans did anything "special", more like they provided a place where my fun friends and I could purchase and consume beverages in public.

Food is nothing to write home about but it's of reasonable quality and price (read: they aren't trying to screw you over).

Not sure why it is called Orleans--does not live up to that name--but it happens.

Karaoke night, which I've been to once accidentally, was a mixed bag. Lots of loud intoxicated women getting really stoked on music I don't really like.

Love going to Orleans when the weather gets nice and they open up the wall of windows. Problem is the sun beats down on those leather seats and you get 3rd degree burns. Well maybe only 2nd degree burns but still hot as hell.

We went for brunch. I was uninspired by their menu selections but ordered the Bimini sandwich. Between the sun, the warm air and my lack of a good nights sleep from my previous night's escapades I was not hungry after two bites. Thankfully my friend Eddie is a human garbage disposal and took care of his and my food.

I still like Orleans but it's more for drinking than for eating in my opinion. I will say that Lance is one of my favs behind the bar. Not sure if he's still there or not. Hope so....

I wanted to like Orleans more, but the late night menu didn't seem capable of delivering many of the menu items that made Orleans so appeal. (foods commonly found in New Orleans would be nice). We got a couple of beers, which came from a decent selection as well as a pizza and wings to share. The pizza was a little too oily and greasy for my liking and the wings were crispy and tangy, but this wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I think the cut the late night menu a little short for operations sake, but when you call yourself Orleans, you have to put in the extra effort to rep the city!

The service was decent and patient with some of our indecisiveness. The food and beer came pretty quickly. It seemed a little odd that they left the restaurant intact and felt like they could have been more creative with the space with some kind of event like live jazz, dance floor, or some other themed format. There are definitely opportunities for that considering they had the space.

What the hell is this place. No that isn't a question. This is one of those places you walk into and state, not ask: "What the hell."

There is little worse than a club or Euro-vibed place in an area that has nothing to do with that vibe. Take this place in Davis square, which is a laid-back, hipstery area with little shops and bars. Then take this turd-this wannabe euro-zone place that is trying way too hard and doesn't really get it.

You have a choice, you can be a euro joint with froo froo food and artisan cocktails, OR you can serve mozzarella stix and buffalo sauce. Not both. I like both in the right places, this screws both up.

Yes it has couches-classy right? But what if said couches are made out of puke proof polyester materials? Artisan drinks are classy right? Except that they taste like they been mixed with what was left over in the fridge after Thanksgiving at your cousin from Missouri's house. The "Elderbubble" is: St Germain, Stoli Razberi, Champagne, Served in a Champagne Flute. After one sip, you get the same expression on your face that you do when walking around the kitchen trying "find where that smell is coming from"-one of confusion and disgust. As a matter of fact, they should rename the drink "Where is that smell coming from?" or "The Missing Stink". What the hell.

You can perfectly summarize this joint by looking at the art on the walls. There is a plastic framed poster that says "ART NOUVEAU IN PARIS". In other words, rather than getting an Art Nouveau style picture, they got a poster referring to the existence of the style. Perhaps they should just call the place "CLASSY EURO BISTRO IN HIP COMMUNITY INC". Seriously, it looks like the decorator strolled through Ikea while eating a sausage sandwich and picked stuff out of the bargain bin with his free hand: "AW YEAH, BROADS LOVE THAT CLASSY ART CRAP, DIS IS GREAT".

An awesome place for college kids to pretend they be big ballin', but still want to puke up some buffalo wing dings on a couch and not have to pay for it.

I went to Orleans tonight with my wife for an early dinner. For the most part, our food was incredible. I ordered the fried chicken plate, which came covered in a smoked bacon gravy (read that again... yes, that is what I said... smoked. bacon. gravy.) with a side of mashed potatoes and some mixed veggies.

The chicken was fantastic... perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were some of the best I have ever had.... seriously. I have had perfect mashed potatoes a few times in my life and Orleans made that short list. The veggies were disappointing considering how good everything else tasted.

My wife got the fish tacos. She enjoyed them as well. However, the guacamole that came on the side was pretty bad. It honestly tasted a bit old.

Our server was a little bit inattentive... we sat at the table for 10 minutes before he came to take our drink orders and we never got refills on water. However, he was friendly and our food came out quickly and accurately, so I am able to look past that.

We would definitely go again.

The location and the venue is nice - spacious, the outside seating is great for a low-key dinner. The food wasn't that great though, just average. The menu seems to be more interesting than normal "bar food" but the quality is still at about that level.
The mussels appy is great, but the fish tacos were fried and low-quality (not enough fish!) and the pork special was not that tasty. Burgers etc are pretty good!

So pretty much yet another bar place with bar food, with the advantage of a nice venue and good location.

St. Paddy's Day 2012 began with a 5K race which I wanted to be over before I crossed the start line, and a truer race to the bars immediately after.

Fighting crowds of people afterward, hungry and tired, we found our way to Orleans for a much deserved meal... and beer of course. We were stunned to learn they could seat us right away, and even though the staff was busy, we managed to receive food and drinks in a timely manner. The food was okay and prices reasonable. Not a great place for lounging around all day, but definitely a good stop for a bite to eat.

Had a very decent solid lunch/brunch experience here. The food was good, nothing super unusual or to write home about, but nevertheless a good meal. I tried the fatty deliciousness of the cottage burger w' an egg and bacon it. Note to self that was wayyy too heavy b/c I definitely had some serious heartburn after. It was cooked just the way I wanted it though, so next time I have to remember to only eat half! The BF got some steak tips, he thought they were ok but nothing too fab. Coffee was good, nice and strong. I liked that they put pound cake on the table, kind of random and out of place but I hadn't had pound cake in forever so it was nice to have a taste of it again! haha
Waitresses are pretty sloppy and casual, but are actually fairly attentive. I would like to come back again for their $1 oysters during the week though, that is something I could really get into!!

+ The seating in Orleans is excellent. I wish more restaurants/bars would use the living room style setup and add more couches. Nicely done.
+ Their tap list while not overly impressive has a varied selection of craft beers.
+ Great for large groups.

- The food is mediocre and priced unjustifiably high.
- The pours of bourbon are laughable. I thought it may have just been a one time thing, but its almost as if the bartenders are instructed to measure the pour with a precision graduated cylinder, then dump half of it back in the bottle before serving. This is also known as the nail in the coffin for me.
- Service, while always friendly, is typically slow.

While Orleans isn't bad, I don't usually opt to come here often. There are just too many other better bars in the area.

Just an FYI... I still love Orleans, but the karaoke on Saturdays is AWFUL. It takes forever in between songs, the DJ sang at least 4 songs in the couple hours I was there even though there was a line waiting and the selection is awful also.

Decent food and beer selection though.

I'm not really sure if Orleans would rather be a bar or a restaurant -- but I think a decision should be made.

The actual bar is small and a Saturday night finds you 2-3 people deep, with nowhere to stand, throwing out the awkward "Oh, sorry! Excuse me, could I just? Thanks!" on loop with each attempted transaction with the 'tender.

The food's just OK for me and overpriced for what it is. I never see anything I really want on the menu so I wind up eating a minuscule amount of the thing I think would least repulse me. Most recently: Idaho Nachos (potato chips drizzled in American cheese with a negligible showing of tomato and bacon) and chicken dumplings (they are not kidding about the sweetness of the sauce). Now that I've written that out, I think I may just be terrible at ordering.

+1 Star for delicious mo(re)jitos served in pint glasses for just $9 and that one time that I decided to hug (read: grind with) a bouncer and didn't get bounced.

I am updating my review almost three years later to describe just how freakin happy I am!
I. AM. SO. HAPPY!

They marinade their steak tips in pepsi. I quit drinking soda this year, but pour some on my tips and cook me till well done (yeah, I like it black) and I am a happy lady.

The price is 12 bucks. The mojitos were 9. The bartender was very attentive and I can't wait to return!

These 4 stars go to Mike the bar tender here on Thursday nights. Thanks to Mike, my three star review jumped up to 4, so Orleans, you can give him a raise! Because I just moved here, and he alone makes me want to come back here.

Plus, I also didn't get a chance to sit on those really really comfy looking red couches and chairs in the front. And I definitely want to lounge there at some point, with the doors open, fresh air flowing in on me, while I sip my cocktail....

Let me tell you why Mike is awesome. We went here, and the place was half empty table wise, but since we weren't eating, we couldn't sit at any of the tables....so we find two tables in the bar area and squeeze our party at those, and our waitress couldn't understand Chris when he ordered his Jim and Diet....he had to say it three times and then after she got it, she came back minutes later to double check the mixer.....hmmmmm

Then we got our drinks, and my rum and diet was SO SO WEAK. Wow, I have not been that disappointed in a drink in quite some time, but Mike was there to save the day. I went to the bar and said, i just moved here...but i don't think there is any alcohol in my drink....and he asked me what i was drinking and then filled it up to the brim with more rum!!! NOW THAT IS WHAT A BAR TENDER SHOULD DO!! He basically guaranteed that I will be back to Orleans again, as long as he is working that is and not that cocktail waitress who we never saw smile once ha

Two Words: ROCK BAND.

I'm a video game and music geek. They have Rock Band Sundays where I can pretend I'm an awesome rock star because I can play pretty much everything on expert. Sure it's just button pushing karaoke in front of a room full of strangers, but it's awesome.

The bartender is one of the nicest I've met in the city, the ambiance is awesome. i love the comfy couches, it feels like hanging out in someone's incredibly posh loft (especially if you, like me, are there for the Rock Band)

My favorite thing about Orleans is the many seating options they have to cater to your various states of hung overness e.g. outdoor seating and a couch/lounge area as well as giant booths, regular tables and a bar.

I like doing brunch here. Props on the Eggs Oscar. A generous portion of lobster with whole claws and pieces of tail over eggs and an english muffin. I get a side of melted butter.

Plus our regular waiter Barry is the nicest guy ever and never gives us a hard time when our gluten free friend comes out for brunch. You know I'm a sucker for good service.

Sleek and sophisticated, Orleans has a very lounge feel. A large group of us walked in around 9 on a Saturday and the place was hopping but not crowded. We snagged a table by the door and settled in, but we could have just as easily sat at the couches and low coffee tables.

The drinks came fast and were very good - I am still swimming from the non-menu chocolate martini. The music was on but not too loud to talk and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I could see myself coming back after dinner for drinks or even for dinner for something nice and close by.

I would def recommend this place if you are in the Davis area and are looking for a more upscale place to meet up with friends. I'll be back.

Orleans gets a lot of flack. Folks who go once may see it as pretentious, out-of-place or confused in its identity. And it is, sorta.

A few female friends frequent the joint because they dig the grub. Having only indulged in the Pizza Neopolitan ($10) and most recently, the Cuban ($8), I can say it's decent and reasonably priced. Beer on tap is "expanded standard" and the specialty cocktails mimic the basics with maybe a fruit syrup (Mango Mojitos! Pomegranate Mojitos! Pomango Mojitos! Ok, ok...) In all fairness, the original is well played and jacked with mint.

Never got the scammer vibe from the clientele, making it more of a watering hole than a sophisticated one-night-standery. It's close to home so I'm often rolling in sporting a T and flops (nothing else, dangledangle) - nobody cares.

To Michael L's point, avoid this as a dinner date destination. Go during the week, early evening when the window wall is open. Grab a spot on the comfy couches and kick back a few with friends. I think that's what Orleans is for and they do a 3-star job.

Oh! And be sure to keep an eye out for the guy that stands by the bus stop out front. For hours at a time. Eerie.

---------------------------------

The Cuban: Proper in execution, even stealing from Dave's genius chipotle aioli. Alas, nothing popped and the bread overpowered. Stick with the 'za.

I went here on a date this weekend. We walked around Davis, and I showed her all the restaurants, but I really haven't eaten anything out here except Spike's (see photos) and Anna's.

I basically picked Orleans because they had outside seating. We walked in the front door, and I wouldn't have wanted to seat us inside anyway, because they had the Red Sox game on their overhead speakers. I have nothing against the Red Sox, but I have something against listening to them while I'm out for dinner.

We sat down and our waitress brought us some bread and oil, which was really nothing remarkable. There were a couple of fennel seeds in the bread, and I guess that was kind of nice.

We opted for the specials, and waited for a while before our waitress came out to tell us that there had been a "mix up" and it was going to take longer. I didn't mind because I was having a good time, and there were pretty orange/pink clouds as the sun was setting. Nice. Then our waitress came over to apologize again and spilled our water on us.

The food came out and looked great. I had pork, served on red russet potatoes, topped with nice cheese, capers (yes!), sliced mushrooms and skrimps in white wine sauce. It was actually very, very good, particularly the shrimp, which went incredibly well with the sauce. It had better be good for $23. Great combination of flavors.

She had linguini with chicken, mushrooms and tiny tiny little itty bitty tomatoes. It was DRIPPING with oil, and positively nasty. I felt bad. $18.

We had a decent time, but I don't think I'd go back. The food was alright, but for the price I'd rather eat someplace with better service and glass glasses.

I've never been there for food, but it's a good neighborhood bar option when you are looking for something a bit nicer than Sligo's. I've always been able to grab a table here, even on Saturday nights. The music is decent too, although sometimes a bit loud to carry on a conversation. The only other negative is the lighting (tends to be a bit on the dark side).

I would agree that it seems to be caught between upscale and casual, but that works for me since I can be the same way. I think of it as a nicer option without going full-on classy.
