The food needs help - bring your own crowd and you'll have fun!  Solid bar staff that gets to know you....

I've been here several times only out of convenience and seeking a change of scenery.  Basically its a townie bar with bad prices.  Although the place was given a nice facelift a while back, it still smells like a wood shop for some reason.  The bartenders are less than professional at best and have been for some time.  They're not fun, not friendly and most have a weak pour.  All the things you look for in your local sports pub....right?

I think I've ordered an appetizer here one time, and I'm not sure why, but I have no desire to do it again.

And if you're going to watch a game, there are far better places to go for that.

    So yeah, not my favorite.

This place is great. Much better atmosphere than any other sports bar I have been to.

Absolutely the worst experience I have had, ever!

One of the people in our group of six had a Groupon, so we thought why not try it out.  We walked in and stood by the bar.  The bartender and manager were standing behind the bar and neither made an effort to greet us or tell us to seat ourselves.  We pulled two tables together and sat down.  Another 5 minutes go by and we are finally greeted by the bartender who was also waiting tables.

She immediately told us that all she could get would be our drink order, and she would be back later to get our food order.  Waiting and waiting we are now 25 into our visit and have yet to order.  She returns with some of the drinks and another bartender who had just gotten there who explains they are switching shifts and that she will be taking care of us.  The rest of the drinks arrive and we finally order, two orders of wings, two steak quesadillas, one chicken burrito, a fried fish sandwich, a med rare steak and a rueben.  Another 35 minutes goes by and still no food  10 more minutes and one quesadilla, the fish sandwich and one order of wings arrived.  Ten more minutes, the side salad for the steak, the second quesadilla, and the second order or wings.

An hour after our order was taken we were still missing several items and had to ask for the remaining items to go, we have not had our drinks refilled and finally I asked for the manager. When he finally saunters over we explain the situation, he responds by saying everything was ready, then they had to make everything to go (a bold face lie being that we had half of the order infront of us) then says "If it was taking so long why didn't you complain earlier?"  Are you Serious! Not to mention the Rueben never even got placed as an order with the kitchen and we still had to pay for everything.  Hands down the worst "dining" experience ever and I, nor anyone in my group would give them a second chance if they paid us.

Wish I could give this place no stars! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff acted as if it wasn't their job to serve us drinks.

This was our first time here and we went with a group of people for my boyfriends birthday. We sat down at a table and our waitress approached us and asked rudely asked "what do you want" as if we were an inconvenience to her! My friend asked what beers where on tap and the waitress huffed with frustration and pointed to the bar. I'm sorry I thought it was your job to serve us. She demanded a credit card and I said cash it out. She ran the card and hovered around me until I signed it. She then grabbed it from me and ran away with it. We thought maybe we would get better service from the bar, we were soooo wrong. Out of the three bartenders standing around doing nothing we finally grabbed a woman's attention after five minutes of literally waving money in the air to get a drink. She did not say one word to us poured our drinks and took the money. Later while using the DISGUSTING bathroom I noticed there was no toilet paper and my mistake for telling them because I just got rolled eyes in response.

Needless to say if you are looking for a bar where you get drinks from a bartender DON'T GO HERE!

Ended up here because Lost Rhino was too crowded and had no available seating. We had an awesome time watching Playoff NFL games tonight in a mellow atmosphere, although by the time we left the place was hopping and completely full (which is about 100 patrons). The owner treated us to multiple beers and the bar tenders / servers were the best. Thank you, Sam, Erica, and Lauren! Keep up the brilliant work. We will be back. Often. This is a neighborhood gem we don't want to lose.
PS: There are approximately 50 TVs (42 inches or bigger).

I'll save you the time - crappy food and slow service. Read on for the details.

We purchased a groupon for this place because we live in Ashburn and thought we would try it out. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were maybe 5 people here (all at the bar). The bartender was the only server on duty. We weren't given a menu, just a specials menu with the writing "for the full menu visit: www.sportsngrill.com" which is strange. We ordered two appetizers and they were very poor quality (cheese fries and spinach dip). The cheese fries were dripping with grease and had no seasoning. The spinach dip tasted like some freezer burnt dip they microwaved.

Save your energy and go to the Glory Days down the street. Glory Days may not be a foodie's dream, but if you're looking to watch a game and have some bar food - they're your best bet in the area. This place was a total waste of money and time - won't be returning.

Avoid. I was the only patron and still got visited 1x every 15 min.  Priced way too high and horrible.  Great location and decor but was empty. Yes it was a Monday but shame on the owner for shoddy marketing.

Have been there twice.  The wings were good but there seems to be a general trend toward lack of patrons.  Service was ok, not enough staff to handle the patrons when they do get busy.  Apparently the place changed hands, was renovated and the clientele dropped off.  The patrons missed their hole in the wall bar.    It also looks like nobody is ever there when you drive by because there are handicap spots lining the front entrance.   My recommendation would be to move down some of the handicap spots so it would actually look like there are patrons...  Nobody wants to show up at a bar with nobody else there.

this place almost doesn't qualify as a neighborhood dive- it look s GREAT with lots of up to date tvs, 2 pool tables and a trendy look and feel. but the service, food and drinks are so SO below par: waiting 15 minutes for any service in a practically empty place, a burger ordered medium came out well done, sent back, then brought back well done AGAIN, cold fries. and mixed drinks that just, well- sucked.  i just can't see going back unless a ton of people tell me that they've trained waitstaff, cooks and bartenders to actually SATISFY customers. I wanted to like it- i really, really did. but dear Broadlands Sports Bar & Grill- please realize that you'd have a ton of walking, regular, customers if you made an effort to provide a better than lousy experience for your customers.

Used to love it, but the smoke from the bar got old quick.  Decided to revisit when their smoking policy changed.  Got in on a weeknight around 5:00 -- maybe 3 other parties in the restaurant.  Passed 10 or so waitstaff on the way in.  Sat in a far corner and were ignored for almost 20 minutes (not even a drink order).   Walked out and never looked back.  So much for a second chance!

We stopped by on one Friday afternoon.  Only one guy showed up for work.  So, he was waiting 3 tables, cooked the food, get us drinks, took in the delivery from the vendor(s); everything that needed to be done, he was doing it.  He did the best he could to take care of us, and we appreciated it.

Food:  the burger uses ciabatta bread, but everything else was just..... meh.

This is my fave local dive bar.  Cozy, cheap drinks & karoake nights.

Yeah, local dive bar. Good burgers. Good staff. Good pool tables. Please turn the Karaoke volume down to something lower than "jet engine".

Nice beer selection. Decent room, clean toilets (at least the guys - I can't vouch for the ladies). They have specials every night of the week, so memorize those and save a bundle.

The worst reasons to come here:
    I. Mixed drinks. (unless you like paying eight dollars for a glass of cranberry juice with a drop of rail vodka in it, hey it's a free country)
    II. Classy people
    III. Friendly bartenders
IV. Beer from a clean tap

The best reason to come here:
    I. My friend Peanut singing his rendition of Hootie & the Blowfish's "I only wanna be with you"... ("I Only Wanna Pee On You".  It's effing priceless.)

Just your local dive bar. Sometimes it takes a while to get served, even when the place is not packed. (unless, I'm in denial, and am uglier than I thought). Cheese fries = great. Karaoke = bad.

I've been here a few times and I always seem to leave in a good mood (and buzzed). If the review were solely based on food, I'd give it 3 stars. Their burgers are pretty good, better than a lot of places. Their wings are awesome though. They make their own buffalo sauce which is unique, very tasty.
The atmosphere is what gives it the extra star. Blaring heavy metal to hip hop, to 80's pop. But the best of all genres seem to be playing constantly. My friends and I seem to "fit in" more here than most other places in Ashburn.

i loveee the broadlands pub!  why? because it is comfortable (although it is borderline dive), it is fun, it is pretty cheap, and i love dennis.

you wanna know why i also love it? because there is such a wide range of people that go there and everyone is friendly.

you can also dress up or look like shit, noone cares.  ive gone in heels, and ive gone in sweat shorts (after moving for 5 hours, i needed a drink....)

the ONLY reason that i give it four stars is because karaoke is 3 or 4 times a week.  its always the same dj and that can get boring.  im tired of seeing that same chick in a different wig every night

they have different specials daily from 12-9. (i love their french fries)

it does get very crowded on a thur-fri-sat.  its always a good time, i always have a blast.

ive left my car overnight and its been there in the morning.

theyve got 2 pool tables which is fun, too.  ive never been for poker night but im sure ill go one of these days...

giving it 4 stars because all the other bars in Ashburn are horrible...overall i think it's probably a 3, but considering where it is...it gets a bonus point.  this place has karaoke and stars n bars poker on various nights.  the food is pretty good too.

have to say the bartenders there are great, especially dennis (if he's still there...i think he may have only been around for the summer)

gets a little crowded and towards the end of the night, don't be surprised if you see an ashburn "beauty" dancing on the bar...all in all, a great vibe and great atmosphere.
