I love this place! A couple friends and I stopped by for a couple of beers and to shoot some pool, and this place was a perfect fit.  .
Unlike many other bars, this place had plenty of space to shoot pool comfortably and with the decent bar prices that's a win win... And to top it off, every time I've been there, the place is crawling with good looking women. Can't beat that!

Don't go here!!!! I sat out side on the patio and there were roaches so big out there that you could put a saddle on them and go for a ride!!! They kept zooming past my feet. Everyone had to sit with their feet up for the rest of the night!! Then I go inside and my feet we sloshing in water! I look down and the roof had a major leak and was soaking the carpeting!!  They didn't even have signs to let you know or try to block it off or anything!! Drinks were way too expensive for a pool hall....I could have went to an upscale bar without roaches and a indoor lake for the price I paid! Also they had no music or maybe it was just playing really low but I would never go back. Never ever ever ever!!!!!

I have to say this is a pretty nice pool hall. Tables are in decent condition, cues are straight, balls aren't chipped. Tons of TV's with games and music videos. They recently revamped the menu and the food is pretty dang good. Much better than I'd expect at a pool place. Flatbreads, apps, sandwiches, etc. Even the beer battered chicken tenders were better than average. They also have shuffleboard, and you can ask for ping pong too (which I think is free!).

I visited once, late at night on a weekday. It wasn't crowded, but there were a few people there. It wasn't noisy, just some bar background music. We had the wings and fries, and the wings were rather good, but not better than I've had. The staff wasn't very attentive, and we had to waive down our waiter to get any service.

Fox & Hound is open late, and for that reason, I may return when I'm in the area and want a drink and some hot wings. I was surprised how large the place was inside. I could see enjoying a round of pool with some friends in the pool area.

It's just like the Fox and then Hound in San Antonio. Just an average kinda place. My husband and I were out running errands and we decided we wanted food and some beverages. We also couldn't resist checking this place out because it's so close to our place and it was happy hour time. I knew this place had to have some kind of special.

Menu is your typical bar food. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a cheese pizza that was on happy hour. Burger was yummy and pizza was overcooked. I like crispy cheese but this was crispy cheese all over. I really can't complain because it was a $5 happy hour pizza. They have different drink specials everyday which is a plus. It was busy because it was happy hour time and it was also trivia that night. Our server was nice and she was very upfront about how everything was going which was surprising and very nice of her. She apologized and gave us a heads up when the kitchen got a little backed up. I think that explained the over cooked pizza. We were half way finished with our beers and asked if we were ok and wanted another round. We declined but then she suggested maybe ordering now since the bar was getting busy. We jumped on that opportunity and went ahead and ordered our next round.

Just another busy bar with food. This place is so close to us and our first experience was too bad so I imagine we'll be going again.

It's cleaner than I remember.  (Major plus).  It had been a long time since I've been back.

Crystal and Sarah are the best. Crystal sold me during a phone conversation about some perks that Fox & Hound Pub offers. Make sure you ask about them as well. And Sarah was the best waitress ever. I will return!

One of my first nights back in the bar scene here in Houston, It was pretty empty but it  was fun. the DJ played some awesome music. Drinks were affordable, plenty of pool tables. I do have to say our waitress really made me mad, a guy in my group kept ordering shots for him and I, when he ordered another round I told the waitress to bring one, I did NOT want any more shots. What does she do? brings 2. I got the chance to confront her in the restroom though, as a former cocktail waitress when someone in the group says no, you listen to them.

I'll probably be back since it's around  the corner from a friends place, but I will be avoiding her.

Last visit was to the patio and I ended up having to CALL the house phone on my cell to get service outside.      They claimed they were slammed with a corporate party...   well if you know you have a huge party booked bring in more staff.

my group of 7 people had to wait over 30 min to get a server and then another 20 for the first drink , server was apologetic but really ....

we all left after one drink and have not been back since.

This place was fun. It was pool, drinks, and food. But If I were you, I'd skip the food. It's not that great. The beer specials are cool. And the waitress' are nice.

I'm honestly here way more than I'd like to admit. Food has always been good. Ask for an Allstar card when you come in and register it online. When you come back after registering it, they give you a free burger!

They have a beer menu that you can ask for that can keep a beer nerd like myself happy.

The food is pretty solid! I've enjoyed the pulled pork sliders pretty frequently.

They have drink specials every single day it seems.

There are several pool tables that I think charge $10.00 an hour and you have to put a deposit of $20.00 down. Darts are free and are in a private back room. You just have to let them keep your id while you borrow the darts.

I normally have a funny line at the end, but I honestly have no clue how to finish this review. Please enjoy my list of F&H facts, I guess.

How many pseudo Irish/British pub chains clamming to have a good beer selection can there be in Houston? The answer is a lot. This is not the worst one, but pretty close. A dingy and dirty area inside with a large patio outside.  There is a long wood bar inside in front of the tap wall and cooler. Lots of pool tables, TVs, and loud music playing. Always crowded.

The food is not very good. Lousy pub grub. Greasy ass burgers, pizzas, crappy ribs, and appetizers. Some cfish n chips, bangers and mash take care of the obligatory "Irish/British" food theme. Neither are very good. The service is what you would expect for a place like this. A clueless wait staff that is working for tips. They don't usually know the selection or the menu. At peak hours, forget about it.

The selection is not that good either. I have seen Stone IPA on occasion. That is always the highlight. Other than that, lots of AB-Inbev beers. Spaten and Franziskaner are big sellers. The last few months they have gotten a bit better on selection, so I uped the rating to two stars.  I think I saw Chimay in bottles, but not much else on this front. Taps are dirty, and kegs are old. The quality is pretty bad as well.

Overall, on par with Sherlock's Pub. I might like this place a little better.  That is not saying much.

Lots of tvs, big bar, clean
Watered down drinks, so after the first few mixed drinks I stick to beer.
Some dicey "ghetto" characters could be seen on weeknights.
    Food is ok, nothing memorable
Usually slow service, especially if you're on the patio
Pool tables are ok, but of the lower quality compared to Slick Willies and other pool halls in the area
Pool girl overcharged for an extra hour of pool twice even when we were under an hour

I thought this place was OK the first time I went.  I guess it was because I was with a group of friends and we were just there to shoot pool and have drinks/appetizers. However, they did get all of our drink tabs mixed up which took a bit of going over at the end of the night to get straightened out.

I recently went back for lunch because I was given a free appetizer coupon.  When we ordered the spinich artichoke dip as our starter (which comes with salsa) the waitress said they were out but she could bring us some chips and salsa instead.  We agreed. We then were brought our meals which were average.  When we asked for our ticket the waitress charged us over $5.99 for the chips and salsa.  We asked why we were charged when we had a free appetizer coupon. She said "The coupon is for an appetizer...chips and salsa are not an appetizer.  You would have had to ordered the Bottomless Chips."  REALLY???  The waitress even made a seen arguing with us when we refused to pay for them. Then it took the manager 15-20 min to come out from the back when we asked that the issue be escalated.  All I have to say is any company willing to lose a customer over some chips and salsa does not deserve my business. I WON'T BE BACK!

This was like me in college, part pool hall, part bar, and sometimes serious.

And it's the richest establishment within a 50 mile radius, also the most sterile, and cloned personality like.

Decent is the best I can describe this place, after our pool league, I couldn't wait to leave. This is the iRobot society.

Maybe I'm being harsh, but the food sure doesn't change the perception. If Fox and Hound was a drink, it would be Fiji Water- A bit pricy, very little taste.

Went here for a North Texas game-watching party, so we had reserved seating. :) Food was great...my hubby said his burger was one of the best burgers he's had in a restaurant (he love barbecuing and grilling). I also had a burger, and I enjoyed mine, but I'm less critical. Drinks are great too! Fun place to get some good food and enjoy a game.

Great drinks. Came here for happy hour and the place was mobbed. But our server was doing a bang up job and kept the drinks flowing.

Food was great. We shared pizza, wings and chips and salsa.  The pizza was good, thin crust. Wings were nice, plump in size. We had BBQ and hot wings.   Hot was great flavor, BBQ was very sweet. Pool tables and music with the videos on. Many screens.

They also had trivia on Wednesday, but we were not participating.  I hear they have great pretzels, need to come back to verify that.

I went to this place about 3-4 months ago with a co-worker. It was late night and we just wanted to get a drink and chat for a minute. I believe it was a Wed or Thursday night.

The atmosphere was decent. The bartenders were attentive and got us the drinks we wanted. Our drinks were pretty basic so I didn't get a chance to 'challenge' them. I don't remember the drinks being strong or being something 'memorable'.  We didn't order any food, but someone near us ordered the wings and they smelt really good.

The seating seem a little tight and I kinda wonder how the place would be on a busy night or a sports night. Probably packed.

I sought refuge at this place, the night was getting started and I was extremely thirsty for a brew, so a buddy and I got a couple of drafts here, We were at the bar so our service was pretty legit. Noting the fact that I tend to run on fermented yeast, I didn't even touch the menu. There were pool tables there, I guess I could of played(terribly) but I was too busy being an 80's guy.

The lack of service at Fox & Hound Pub & Grill is so poor, that it's as if the owners hate you, and want you to die.

There's really not much of a point in coming here.  It's a generic pub chain with sometimes decent priced booze, and below average menu items.  The place isn't clean and always smells slightly of vomit.  The service consists of approximately 30 minute waits between beers, and the occasional wrong food order, but you've been waiting so long, that you just end up eating food that you never wanted.

They do have televisions, so they have that going for them.

Good place if you want to come watch a game or play pool.

The food is decent--wings are hit or miss, sometimes they're super dry, but sometimes they're pretty good.  I LOVE the Black Forest (turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun) and the fries are pretty good too.  They do have quite a number of beers on tap, some beers I've only been able to get a Flying Saucer.

Never had a problem with bad service or waiting, and I love that it's open late.

I stopped in here Saturday night with some friends after mistakenly hitting another bar on what appeared to be ghetto night. We walked up to the bar, ordered our drinks with ease, and went and sat at a booth. The place is big, the drinks were not too expensive, and there is a huge room with pool tables. TV's all around the place, but none had the volume blaring.

I enjoyed the place and the atmosphere, (really not very busy though) but it was weird in a way...kind of felt like an abandoned Chili's that they had turned into a bar, but the kitchen is full service and open until 2am like the bar...I definitely appreciate being able to order food all night, so maybe sometime I will hit this place up as my wind-down round after other bars. That is really what we got out of it was a place to kick back and actually hear each other, after leaving the other bar which as I mentioned before, was out of control.

All in all, I approve of this place as a tame place to go with friends in the west houston area.

It's further out west, so not as many inner-loopers will come here.  It's still a great place to hang out with friends and relax, as they have lots of pool tables as well as karaoke nights.

There are TV screens all around the main room, so don't worry about angling your chair or getting the crap seat!

Beer and food was typical bar, as they did emphasis more on the British cuisine (authentic?  um...you're at a bar).

They gave me a mystery coupon to use the next time I come back, so maybe I could win a free car! (waitress said no)

After dinner Friday night with my sister visiting for Easter, we decided on pool but not at a pool hall.  I suggested Fox & Hound Pub & Grill on Westheimer in West Houston.  Although, it has been more than ten years since I last stepped into this joint, from what I remember it fit the bill for capping off our night. Agreed.

As soon as we walk in, a girl immediately approaches anally asking for ID, which is perfectly fine, pulling out my wallet, but I did get the impression under-age kids sneaking in is an issue thus the stern request; however, at 38 years old easily older then she and probably the oldest person in the place, I did find it eccentric.

Isn't life funny as you live it you don't see it but having lived it, it becomes clear.  Half-full of Twenty-Something's who appear to be in-college, recently graduated, or finally getting that first career job, finding themselves, the vibe is all about being cool. Like being trapped in a time-warp, I vividly recall spending a good part of my twenties doing the same (approaching forty I seem to still be finding).

Being half-full finding a table was easy and with over 30 beers on draft the drinking would not be difficult.  Some minor annoyances included: the room was hot, a distinct smell permeates throughout, and the waitress was only 19 so she couldn't recommend any beers and was clueless to shots (maybe she was faking it and is a raging alcoholic, I couldn't tell...lol).

At 11:00 the DJ announces music till 2:00am, which I thoroughly enjoyed as he played old-school hip-hop like DJ Quick -Just Like Compton, Nate Dogg - Regulate, and Ice-Cube -Dead Homiez.  What I did find particularly interesting is that around midnight a rush of workers from nearby businesses wearing their work outfits comes in to finish off their nights as well (the wife commented look at the Sous-Chefs).

The Fox & Hound Pub & Grill is not my first choice for drinking but hey it was easy and what the heck it was kind of nice reliving my twenties listening to music from the 90's.

This is a nice to place to drink and kick back with friends. The music and crowd isn't overbearing that you have to scream to have a conversation. Plenty of room and this was on a Friday night after work.

Food not so much; average at best.

Also, the fact that you just sit anywhere you like seemed to throw off the wait staff. I'm not exactly sure how, as it wasn't exactly crowded to begin with.

The place was filthy on the last visit and there was some very shady activity going on in the parking lot.  Food is surprisingly poor quality- chicken and ribs were cold and greasy.   Drinks were watery.

I only come here to drink. Not so much eat. BUT, I will say that I've had one of their signature sandwiches before (can't remember what it was called) with turkey, honey mustard, lettuce, on some kind of Bavarian pretzel bun and it was pretty darn good. Their wings are also quite tasty.

They have some kind of Brew Club you can join so that every time you purchase a beer, you can accumulate more points towards getting discounts on food, drinks, etc. So, that's kind of cool.

All of my experience with the wait staff has been pleasant. Everyone is very attentive and friendly.

I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go here, but if you live in a reasonable radius, I'd recommend you swing by and grab a beer.

One of my friends thinks this place smells like vomit, and I can honestly say I've been here several times and wouldn't compare the scent to vomit, persay... But I guess it does have a funk to it.

Love the variety of games (shuffle board, pool, etc), easy going crowd, great little nacho type food menu.. and a wide selection of drinks!  A definate fave to hit up w/ a few friends.

They have plenty of wide screens to watch a game/fight on, and quite a few in the crowd to cheer along with, too.

Some of my friends work around the area and when they get off work they want to grab a quick drink, this is the place we meet up at.

I've never had the food so my review is just for the bar and billiards.

Most of my friends that work around here are in the industry, so they get the discount, usually 50% off all beers and cocktails.  This can get you messed up pretty quickly when the drinks don't hurt the wallet.

The pool is average but I enjoy the area for the darts.  This place does have house darts in exchange for your ID.  They have the darts area secluded off in the back.  I like this better so drunk people don't walk across other drunk people throwing sharp objects.

The waitresses are pretty good about checking that area for drinks.  Once we started playing we never really had to leave for another round.

Yuck, gross, disgusting.  This place smells like a frathouse: the smell hit me upon walking in the door and robbed me of the desire to eat or drink anything on premises.

I didn't have a drink because of the gross factor, but my friend had a white russian.  According to her, it was just ok.  Some hot wings passed by our table and the smell was also off-putting.  Honestly, I couldn't get out of the place fast enough.

Dive bars are great, but this is a chain that is apparently trying to be a dive bar and failing on the coolness (and smell) factor.  If I ever have to go here again, I'll make sure I have a really bad head cold.

I've lived in London and I can tell you Fox & Hound is nothing like an English Pub.  However, it is a nice restaurant/sports bar.  It is a pretty big place and there are many different rooms that will cater to what you're looking for, including an outdoor seating area.  One large room has pool tables and large flat-screen TVs.  I went here to watch the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and it was great because they were playing multiple games at once.

The crowd was your typical after work crowd.  Later in the evening locals came out and the scene seemed to change a bit.

My waitress was AWESOME - Kelly, ask for her.  I've been a waitress, so I'm a good judge :)

Food was mediocre food you tend to expect at bar/restaurants.

Overall, a pretty decent place.  I'd recommend it more for happy hour, sports viewing, etc rather than for a meal.

I've been to this place three time: once to play pool and twice to watch UFC fights on pay-per-view.  Pool night was unremarkable.  UFC night #1 was PACKED and the crowd was really into the fights.  Our waitress was not into providing great service.  Saw her infrequently during the evening and waited a LONG time to get our check at the end of the night.

UFC night #2 was great.  It was less packed and our waiter was really working hard.  He was attentive and speedy.

I would never purchase the UFC at home, but watching it at places like Fox & Hound is worth the $10 cover because the crowd reactions really up the excitement.

The Fox and Hound is a chain, so I'll be quick.  Lots of pool tables, lots of table tables, lots of beer, and still more televisions.  The crowd at this one is usually in the 25-35 range.  There can be a significant wait for a pool table on weekend nights, but there's a strange coziness and family basement kind of vibe here that can be worth it.  People might even talk to you!  And not in a creepy way!

Fox and Hound is really good for groups of people who have nothing in common, or largeish groups in general, because you can all crowd in around a pool table and drink until you're friendly.  Trendies and homebodies alike can at least tolerate this place for an evening.
