    Level 3 Lounge!

I came here for my bestfriends birthday party on a Saturday night. My bestfriend has been here before and assured me that this was an awesome, upscale, fun establishment.
Walking in, my first thought was how beautiful the entrance was, we then got into an elevator and proceeded to Level 3. The lounge has a beautiful square shaped center bar with great seating surrounding it. There is also a stunning rooftop area boardered with private cabanas. What makes this great is that, unlike the city, you don't have to pay for the seating (inside/out), all you need to do is call 2 weeks in advance to reserve a cabana.
I gave it 3 stars because when we first got in it seemed to be more of an afterwork spot rather than a lounge/dance club. It did not have the feel of a lounge instead the place was 60% lit, and the music was low enough for you to hear each other lol. The outdoor cabana section was not open yet, and it seemed to be targeted to one crowd according to the music. My first thought was, OMG i need a drink if I am going to survive this. I waited at the bar trying to flag someone down for about 15 minutes. Mind you, there were four people behing the bar. The guy then tells me that he is not a bartender and did not even try to tell someone who was a bartender that I was ready to order. I then waited another 10minutes until some lady came up to me and asked if I wanted her to get me something and I said yes (thinking that she worked there). No, she did not work there but managed to get my whole party some drinks.
The music was not up to par. It wasn't even Top40. I dont even know what genre of music it was but it wasn't geared towards a mellow lounge crowd.

Honestly, my friend assured me that we have to come back during the summer to get the full effect of the lounge. So hopefully I will be updating my review in a couple of months.

My friend and I have heard and read mixed reviews about this place. So on Saturday we decided to try it out. We got there around 11pm and it was packed. We noticed we were probably the youngest people there (early 20's). The age range was 25 and up. The crowd consisted of professional people.  We met some very friendly people and we enjoyed the music choice the DJ played. My friend and I thought it was strange that it started to die out around 12. Also I think they should have more than five bartenders serving people. Overall we had a great time and we definitely will go back to this place.

    The good:
-Hands down, the best, most upscale location in the area to enjoy a drink in the summer.
-Absolutely gorgeous layout - you will feel like you are at a rooftop bar in NYC, minus the skyline views.
-Romantic fire pits, cabanas, and lounge-y sofas.
    -Gorgeous bar.
-Great, upscale twist on bar food.
    -Creative drinks.
-Usually a very nice, fun, professional crowd.

    The bad:
-Service ranges from indifferent to snooty. Servers/bartenders seem to forget that they are in the service industry and that people who are paying $12 for drinks expect to be treated well, not as an irritation.
-Ridiculous system of reserving cabanas that often sit empty for HOURS while other customers have to stand.
    -Pricey, sometimes overly so.

Overall, I come here at least once a year to enjoy the beautiful ambience. Perfect place for a date or a girls' night out. The only reason I don't come here regularly is because I don't feel they appreciate the business. If they would hire friendlier bartenders and servers, this would be my #1 place to go.

I went to Melt - Level 3 for my birthday. Ive been there before and always had an amazing time. The waitresses always take such good care of you!

The only reason I am given this place a poor review was because we had a very bad experience and little uncalled for issue with management. Tip - the cabana will only fit 8 people comfortably even though they will book it for 15. That being said, as my party started filling in I realized we weren't all going to fit. So I walked around and checked for a larger area to accommodate my guest. Boy!!! Did we get this large speech about reserving the cabana and losing out on business and while explaining myself being treated like a trouble maker. They had no regard of how comfortable we were. The section we found was just the right size. And lucky for us it wasn't reserved. Oh no! Not that easy. The manager again came over and summoned us to half that section. Lining out where we can and can't sit. When we werent complying (as more of my party showed up) they sent another guy over to ask us again to squeeze in half the section in case another group came. We told them we KNOW we don't own the place and didn't intend on kicking anyone out but assured him that more of my party would show up and the space wouldn't be wasted.they still didn't care and again reminded us that we can only sit in half the section and not to spread out taking up the whole section. We tried to understand what the problem was because it wasn't reserved. He walked away mid-sentence and returned and THREW a reserved sign on the second table!!!

The waitress did her best to smooth it over. The real manager spoke with me, think his name was tony. He didn't apologize for the other guys which is fine... he just spoke with me with respect not like the two before did. We were ready to leave and they just didn't seem to want us there at all. It was almost as they wanted to be selective and let certain people in. That's the feeling I got that time going there. Pretentious pricks is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Melt.

So aside from my experience which did result from me reserving a seat that wouldn't fit my party the experience that melt offers is lovely. I would go back but I wouldn't deal with management. I can't comment on the drinks, I don't drink but we love the spinach/artichoke dip. I just wish it came with chips instead of the toastinis (whatever you call it). I had given them a 3 out of 5 before because this incident didn't ruin my birthday. recently changed it to 1 out of 5 because i came to realize the ONLY reason my birthday wasn't ruined was b/c I was surrounded by my friends and family. In no way should i give Melt any credit for that. No one at the party intends on going back to this place.

I could see why this would get a four or five star rating in the summer - but a nice place to go even when it's chilly out.

Went here for the first time this weekend when my friend came in to visit from Colorado.  It was pretty busy in there at 9 on a Friday...but that was to be expected as there's not a lot of places like this in the area.  There were a wide variety of people there, young and old professionals, students and, of course, the ever-prevalent cougar.

The decor is very upscale, clean...and I love the sinks in their restrooms. :) They do have lots of reserved seating, which I am guessing is for groups who are doing bottle service.

In the winter, they have to close off most of the place...probably 2/3 of it is open air, which would not be fun when it's 20 degrees outside.  I am looking forward to going back again this summer when it's warm and the whole place is wide open.

Drinks were reasonably priced, for an upscale bar, and made well.  I couldn't help but giggle about the bartender with hair like Pauly D from Jersey Shore.  Bartenders were all friendly and smiling, which I always appreciate.

    Great place in the LV!

This place has a wonderful ambience and the drinks were good but the food is average and overpriced, the service is okay and the seating is very limited. I was not fond of the music, the dj looked like he was still in high school and played wierd remixes of 80s music. The outdoor seating is charming, but the heated cabanas are not good enough for colder weather. The overall layout doesn't seem conducive to meeting people. I went on a Saturday night and saw a mixed crowd, but looked like a mostly upper 30's+ crowd (my age group). I would definitely come back and visit when I'm with friends on a warm night and just want to hang outside with a few drinks. I tried the calamari and agree the sauce is tasty, but it was drenched and drowning in the sauce which made it hard for me to swallow. We also got the crab cakes which were eh, and the polenta which was good but a very meager portion. You can also order from Melt's menu.

Best kept nightlife secret in the Valley. Level 3 is an upscale, if not THE most upscale, bar/lounge in the area. Located on the rooftop of italian restaurant, Melt, Level 3 has its own look and feel. If you've been to melt, and not to Level 3, you're missing out.

This is the ideal place to come in the summer as it is the only open rooftop lounge in the valley. Decor is really nice with cabanas (reservable if you cough up $125 in sales), fire pits and a beautiful stone bar that glows.

Nice mix of beautiful people in the valley including young professional types and older, hip folks - somehow it works. Like most nightlife places the scene doesn't really pick up until 9:30 or 10, however it's nice to come early and have dinner (full melt menu available). I recommend finger-type foods though as the low lounge furniture make it difficult to eat, unless you're at the bar.

Best appetizers are the calamari (best in the valley I think) and the antipasti tray (wonderful meats and cheeses direct from italy). YUM!

This place is not cheap - drinks hover between $7-13 and apps between $8 and $18. However the drinks are always original and tasty - great mojitos.

Only downer - I ordered a bellini this weekend and it was warm and served to me in a plastic flute. Note to level3: If you're going to charge me more than $10 for a drink serve it in a glass!!

Currently running good specials during happy hour (5-7 p.m. any day) with apps at $6 and drinks at $7.
