Whenever I am in Mount Adams visiting friends, Longworth's WILL feel our presence at one point. It's always pretty packed in the weekend evenings, and the employees are gratious enough to put up with my friend's antics. Always good for a strong drink and a friendly face!

I came here for my birthday, I got the Strawberry salad to eat w/ added chicken (which was way too dry), but the salad was so big I couldn't even finish it.

I got some Malibu cokes which were pretty good.

The downstairs live band was a pretty good cover band and the music was good. The upstairs club area's music was terrible though. I had really been looking forward to dancing but it wasn't good music that the DJ was playing and that was unfortunate.

I checked out all the bathrooms, and the one I checked upstairs didn't even have a working lock.

All in all, it was okay place to go for my birthday.

Worst service ever. The waitress and bartender both had attitudes for no reason. I would strongly advise staying away from this place!!

Thinking of Longworth's instantly makes me crave a patio and a summer shandy. And San Francisco.

Oh Mt. Adams, you are a sight. A sanction. A destination necessary for stopping. So why not put a pub right at the very top of you? Whoever said you can't find hidden treasures this side of the river is a little blind. Longworth's is a pretty large and open bar that screams pub crawl and late night body shots, yet oozes patio decadence. On the rather adventurous outing, our group made its way to the top of Mt. Adams and felt a resting period was needed. In the form of golden brew. Queue the fine music.

Crushing, this is the word. There are wooden booths along the wall. Bars ... yes, plural ... bars inside that are filled with friendly and fun staff. It was a hotter than a motha (shut your mouth) kind of a day so we opted to sit outside and sweat it out. Because it's summer. Rather than sipping water, we sipped the summer shandy and kept the beers flowing. The patio is comfortable and right in prime view of the main drag leading through the area. We wound up meeting a couple who were from the Bay Area and were now living in OH. Small world to find Californians ... in a CA type of atmosphere.

For this, of course there were bottomless beers, but we also had simple starters to nibble on. It was too late for lunch and too early for dinner so we dove in with the spinach and artichoke dip. A fail safe dish that will please anyone. I would definitely come back to try the pub fare of burgers or sandwiches because they looked large enough to feed a dozen, and small enough to fill my belly.

Such a fun place to kick back for an after work drink or a late night pub crawl, I'd keep Longworth's on the radar.

This place is average, whether you're coming for a meal or late night, but let me detail both types of visits separately.

The food here is decent. The spinach artichoke dip is cheesy and delicious, the burgers are alright, and the wings and pizza are good too. For a while, they offered all food and drink for half price from 3-8 pm every weekday, but that promotion ended a couple of weeks ago. It's not so bad that it ended (I'll still go for food once in a while), but the fact that half of the staff didn't know and couldn't even figure out why my check was incorrect was a bit concerning.

At night, this place is raging with a packed bar downstairs and sweaty dance floor upstairs. If that's you're thing, it's definitely the place to be! Also, during the summer, it's great to have the huge patio to roam around on downstairs as well as the huge balcony upstairs.

The reason that I'm only giving this place three stars is, in the end, for the slow-ish service when you sit outside to eat, the fact that it gets so crowded that it's uncomfortable on the weekends, and the fact that sometimes the staff is very disconnected from the bar/restaurant and each other at times.

Longworth's is the face of Mt. Adam's nightlife. It's a multi-level bar complete with a large patio area and terrace on the second level, and is definitely a hot spot--nearly always packed in tightly. It's a happening place with events constantly happening, and has even had some celebrity cameos as well. *cough cough* George Clooney *cough* Ryan Gosling *cough*

I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this place before... Ok, like a lot of places in Mt. Adams the clientele ranges from everyday blue/white collar people to Jersey Shore Grade A Dbags. When you go often determines who is in the majority. I have spent some quality time on the patio enjoying some of their food and even had some guy in full Scottish regalia walk down the street playing bagpipes. During crowded times, I like that the bar on the main floor wraps around to both sides.

$5 Burger Mania on Sundays is a great treat for that crazy carnivore that occasionally must be fed. The entertainment can be hit or miss. Just this past week I had the pleasure of seeing a friend's band play (Strange Love) to an almost empty house. Too bad for them, as they sounded great. I've also danced my feet off in the upstairs area back in my younger days.

So, if you are willing to navigate the hilly and small streets of 'Adams and can actually find a parking spot, you'll probably have a decent time here. Want some advice? Try to sample as many shots on the chalkboard as possible. ha ha!

Last time I came to this bar I was in only my Undie's almost the entire time. Of course it was for the pre and post party for the Cupid Undie Run a mile run around Mt. Adams in our under garments to raise money for The Children's Tumor Foundation. It was a blast and most definitely the best time I have ever had at a Mt. Adams bar.

Besides this event I have had some memorable times/experiences at Longworth's. During the Spring and Summer they have a wonderful rooftop deck with two outside bars where can you lounge. Upstairs there is typically a DJ spinning and downstairs you can often find live bands playing and people dance both upstairs and downstairs.

Every time I come to Mount Adams I usually end up here. This bar is huge, with an outside, upstairs and multiple rooms downstairs. They have DJs, live bands, karaoke nights, etc. It's cozy in some rooms too with fireplaces. The bartenders are hit or miss. Sometimes they make great drinks and other times they need re-made. Great place for groups and bar-hopping along St. Gregory Street.

A group of us were looking to play trivia a few weeks ago, so we decided to hit up Longworth's on a Wednesday night. The trivia was great and a lot of fun. But the service left something to be desired. The waitress would disappear for extended periods of time and forget to put our order in with the kitchen. It took 35 minutes for a soft pretzel to come out. Then when we were waiting to get our bill, as they were turning the restaurant/bar into a place to play beer pong with horrible music, the waitress and our tab were no where to be found. Also, the bathrooms were disgusting. Like...I think someone pooped in the corner. Despite all of that, I would probably come back here to play trivia.

Longworth's has a lot to offer if you are looking for a club type atmosphere. I'd look out for the specials they have weekly. Wednesday night offers several 30 cent domestics. The bartenders are nice and quick on they're toes. However I booked a party there this last weekend and had a much different experience than I've had before at the bar. I made a reservation for bottle service as well as a table. The staff was unaware that I even made such a reservation. This in spite of the fact they had taken my credit card over the phone before the visit. The server we had checked in on us twice all night. And they charged me gratuity without prior consent. Longworth's has been a staple for me when I visit Mt. Adams because of the older Cincinnati-style build of the establishment and the club type atmosphere. The early crowd gets to enjoy the calmer more laid back ambiance of wood construction, comfy chairs, and a roaring fire. While the late crowd gets to enjoy the DJ and dance floor upstairs complete with lighting rig. I would visit again on my own accord but I would never book a private party at Longworth's again.

Brian Kroger the cook at Longworths makes the most authentic Cuban Sandwich in all of Cincinnati. Come during 3-8PM for half off everything happy hour and enjoy this Hispanic treat.

This place is a great bar to start your night off, or to keep the party going, take your pick. I love the chalkboard shot lists in the front bar and the back bar. *tip: the shot prices vary so make sure you don't order the most expensive round of shots for your group w/out knowing. ha ha.

The food here, especially the burgers, is surprisingly great and is very tasty. There are some unique toppings and sauces that one can apply to create the perfect burger. The pizzas we've had here have been nice as well. We haven't been here in the later hours in some time so I can't speak for the DJ's or music selection, but if it's how it was in the past, it's a great meat market for the younger crowd. If you're single and ready to mingle, check this place out.

Very friendly bartender and waiter who served us brunch on a quiet weekend morning in Mt. Vernon. Brunch food was so-so, but the bar definitely looked like it would be a fun place at night with an extensive cocktail menu and a cool-looking room with pool tables.

I have visited Longworth's a few times recently and have been pleasantly surprised.  I work up in Mt. Adams and often wish that there was a place up here that is quick in and quick out.  We used to refer to Longworth's as Long-waits.

I have only been on Tuesday's, which are their $5 burger days.  They have unlimited toppings...how can there be anything wrong with that?  The burgers are good and they come with saratoga chips.  Service can still be a little slow because there is usually only one or two servers on hand for lunch, but the food is good!

Mt Adams is such an enjoyable place before the sun sets, and can sometimes be after depending on the day.  Call me an old fuddy duddy, but I like cheap beer, good conversations, and not being ass to elbow with 500 other people trying to systematically get laid and order a watered down shot/ beer.

Longworth's certainly can fit this bill on certain nights of the week, and I make sure to avoid these nights like the plague.  The times I have been there, I have been pleasantly surprised by what they have to offer, and no I do not mean their wall of shame listing over 50 shots.

Longworth's offers a different special everyday of the week.  The ones I know off the top of my head are 45 cent wings and free pool Mondays, Taco Tuesday with 5 buck burgers and open mic, and 3 dollar 22oz beer Thursdays.  There is something everyday of the week, which provides a good variety.

Taking a break from apt shopping today, we stopped in for a big beer and for their Cuban Sandwich, which was 5 bucks.  Holy mackerel, was this thing big!  And it came with crisps!  This gargantuan sandwich was probably made out of a whole pig.  And best of all, this was probably the best Cuban I have ever had.  It was flavorful, not too dry, and had just the right amount of mustard and cheese.  I will be sure to get it again.

Longworth's might not have the view of the Pavilion, but it does have something for most people.  Faults?  Sure, over priced mix drinks for one, but as long as you stick to the deals you'll have a good time without breaking the bank.  A great college/domestic swill peddling kind of bar, but hey sometimes this is a good kind of thing.

Longworth's may feel like that certain clientele type of bar, but its not all bad, all the time.

There are so many spaces that you can shrug off those people you don't care to socialize with. There's the cozy main room with a bar, tables, couches, and pool tables. Behind the bar is a separate room designed to hold bands and that type of crowd. And then the outdoor patio is nice to enjoy a meal on.

The upstairs has just been redone, and it now has that swanky classy type of feel. There's a VIP are up there too that you can claim. There's also another outdoor patio with outdoor couches, more tables and its own bar. It's a lot of fun, and there's always so much going on, with plenty of room to mingle dance, or just chill.

I give this place an extra star for the food... omgoodness.. the burgers are amazing, the fries... I don't know what the seasoning is but i like it. The appetizers are amazing and the drinks are good too

They also have theme nights. Karaoke, wings, draft specials. always something different every night of the week!

My feeling of Longworth's can be summed up thusly: mixed.

I'll start with the good. I really like how they have the place set up. Right in front is a very traditional, divey bar with pool tables and dim lightning. Behind that, a second bar with a band and some outdoor seating. Upstairs, a cool loft area with yet another bar and couches. And finally, inside, a fourth bar that has more of a dance club vibe. In short, you can find your niche here, and easily migrate to another if its not your thing. Service was surprisingly quick, given how busy they were Saturday night. They get a lot of flack for having a douchey clientele, but its pretty much in line with every other bar in the area. And it could be much worse - I'm looking at you, Cadillac Ranch.

Of special note, the dance club upstairs was playing this crazy break dancing music video set at the DMZ between North and South Korea.  In a rare demonstration of diplomatic cooperation, tensions are put aside to bust a move and talk about the man keeping them down. As someone who visited the DMZ, I found this infinitely amusing.

Now for the bad. Their bathroom situation is laughable at best - they really don't want anyone to relieve themselves here. I swear those bushes outside are replaced on a regular basis, because I guarantee you they're getting peed on.

Also if you don't get there before they start charging cover (others have said 10:30), don't even bother going. I want to extend the tallest of middle fingers to every bar owner in the area that charges cover, and they are no exception. Your drinks are already a buck or two more than other bars, to charge a $5 cover on top of it is pretty uncool.

So yes, this is a decent place as far as bars go. But they instantly get downgraded to average for their expensive cover. I hate you cover. I hope you die in a fire.

Longworth's is probably my favorite bar in Cincinnati. There's a different type of special and something going on every day. I like that it's 2 stories with an outdoor patio on both, and that it's larger than most other bars. 2 bathrooms per floor and 2 pool tables...2 is the magic number I guess. I've been here on many occasions: Monday night for burgers and wings, Wednesdays for 50-cent beers and trivia night that has the bar packed, and Friday and Saturday nights for dancing. They also had a ball-tossing tournament around March Madness time -- winners got 2 tickets each to Vegas. Drinks are pretty good and not badly priced.

Couple things I don't like: Their food is just alright. I've tried the pizza and wings, which are average-tasting but kind of expensive. Also, I visited last night and had to knock it down a star though, cuz what the hell was up with that music?? My friends and I were pretty drunk when we got there, but man did we sober up when we heard the techno version of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep", among other unfortunate selections. But somehow we made it work anyway...we just had to do the robot (yeah, we HAD to) and jump around a lot...

My mother always told me that if I didn't have anything nice to say, to not say anything at all.  So, I'll keep this short: Longworth's has a major problem with its identity in general and, moreover, has one heck of an angry bouncer on staff who evidently has a history of brutality.  I'd avoid this place at all costs if you value your dignity and your dollars.

Longworth's has been very average for me each time I've stopped  in. They have a great location, a huge bar, lots of tables, and a lot going for them, but it never really seems to come together. The bathroom situation is a bit lacking in my opinion. The food seems to take too long to arrive and is just OK. They do have some vegetarian selection. The drinks I had there were fine, but nothing to write home about. The service in general has been very lacking for each of my visits. That is primarily what has put a damper on my experiences. They have a sectional sofa by a fireplace and two pool tables. They usually have a couple sports games going on on the TVs.

I lived in Cincinnati for a FULL YEAR before I discovered this place. Let me tell you, once I went Longworths, I never went back.

Check it: 4 bars to order my delicious grape and soda from, 3 restrooms to run to (ladies, you know what I'm talking about), 2 stories to shake my rump shaker, all in 1 convenient, fun location.

    In summary: you have choices!

If you want to have a great time at Longworths, here's how to plan your evening: Get there before 10:30 to avoid the $5 cover charge. I'm clearly not the only one who has discovered this good-times watering hole. It can get packed, especially the upstairs. However, at about 10:30, it's not at all full, so ordering a drink or two before the crowd is a very easy task. The live band on Saturday usually starts around then and there are tables on the first floor to gather around and chit chat before it gets too packed. I like this game plan because I usually go out with a lot of friends and this table we claim ends up being 'home base' for us when we separate to mingle. There's an outdoor patio when the weather is nice and a fireplace inside to lounge by if it's chilly. Such a great place to let loose and have a great time!

Absolutely LOVED this bar. I'm from out of town but was in Cincinnati for a wedding and we checked this place out. We were there at the end of the dinner hour, just as the place was transitioning into more of a bar/club atmosphere. We were there on DJ night, and what an amazing DJ he was! His mix was amazing, eclectic, and he also took requests.

There is a chalkboard with about a 100 different cocktails and shot combinations,  "Alligator Piss" and "Screaming Orgasm" being the best ones I tried that night.  The food was decent, but a friend of ours ordered a burger and never got it (but wasn't charged for it either)

Great music, crowd was more in the 25-35 range, good mix of men and women. The outdoor patio was a nice place to go cool off after dancing to 6 songs in a row.

is it a club? a pub? a tavern? a bar? pool hall? seems like longworth's has a bit of an identity crisis. this can be a positive if your crowd has diverse tastes.

extremely friendly and attentive bartenders upstairs, but a nice smile and a fresh beer can only go so far when faced with one hellhole of a dance floor. decent tunes, but impossible to navigate. if you were to have coughed up the dough for table service bordering the dance area, good luck trying to get out of the place. the drunken hoards of mt. adamsians won't budge if you try to exit.

For years, Longworth's was my closing-time Mt. Adams bar, so forgive me that my memory of the bar's nuances isn't that great. However, I have visited many times (pre-Jaeger bombs) and remember enjoying warm summer evenings on the patio. Great for people watching, Longworth's patio can get very crowded on a busy night due to the number of smokers trying to get their fix.

Apparently every Sunday, the tavern serves Brunch and Big Assed Beers starting at 11 am. Double-deuce beers are only $2.75. (Un)fortunately, my days of kegs and eggs are over.

What a schizophrenic place!  The downstairs bar is loud and rockin', especially during karaoke Thursdays.  The pool table area is more relaxed and sedate, generally sparse in population.  The front patio is a smokers' lounge, but gets immensely popular in the summer when anyone can go out and watch whatever mayhem may be ensuing on St Gregory Street.  The upstairs bar is more of a nightclub with a DJ and dancing.  And the upstairs deck is some kind of elite hangout from which you can look down upon the throngs coming into our out of Mt Adams.

Due to the multifarious feels of the venue and despite the $10 cover charge, Longworth's attracts quite a crowd on any given weekend.  As such, you have to work for your drinks (or at least wait) and generally pay more than you wish.  However, you can be all but certain that you'll find a corner of the place that suits your mood no matter how often it changes.

During non-nightlife hours, Longworth's serves food, including brunch on Sundays in case you take it a little too far on Saturday night.

Gotta love Longworths for its karaoke night.  Spent many a Thursday night here!  There aren't that many places to go out at in Cincinnati, so this is by far my favorite bar.  Longworths also holds a soft spot in my heart because I met my now-husband here!
