Eh..... This place is great for a burger or wings, but anything else is just ok.

The wait staff is nice, but very slow.  Be prepared to spend a good amount of time waiting for things.

The buffalo chicken sliders weren't very good.... :/  and the fish and chips were ok.

This location sucks!!! It used to be a good place to frequent...It has surely gone downhill.... Last time I was there it took close to 45 minutes before I could even place a drink order... It was hard to get a refill....my server was not that great at all...I actually had to have another server grab the manager.... I politely explained to her that the past few visits previous weren't up to par and this one lost a customer... Sad part is she gave us 50% off the check and another $40 in gift certificates with the hopes that we would return as customers....unfortunately even with the free $40 we still wont step foot inside!!!! Sad cause its right across the street...

Crazy amount of tvs up in here.

GDG is like your neighborhood bar/restaurant but has a standardized menu across their stores. The staff is personal and introduces themselves by name to clientele (an actual nice touch in my opinion).

There is plenty of seating in the bar area and at sit-down booths. There is a small but decent selection of beers on tap, and the menu is pretty large. I just went in for a quick bite, so I ordered up a Guinness and the Triple Cheese Burger with mashed potatoes. The Guinness was poured very well (hats off to the bartender). The burger was cooked pretty well, but the cheese was a bit rubbery. Otherwise the flavor was standard and nothing to complain about. The mash had a good texture, with small bits of potato throughout. There was also melted butter drizzled on top - this does enhance the flavor. So the burger was average, and the mash was better than expected.

It's nice having this around the corner was a go-to option if I just want some easy bar food. Definitely need to get the wings next time.

Ordered carryout and was overall disappointed with the experience. Had two orders of wings, (mild and medium) and an order of onion rings.

The only saving grace was that the mild wings were pretty meaty and quite good. The medium wings were shriveled and overcooked. The onion rings were soggy and falling apart. The wings were a bit overpriced compared to most places. And I ordered there and waited, so if the food was sitting for a while, it wasn't due to me picking it up late.

The beers on tap and other menu items look good, but I can't say that I would order there again.

I love American bar fare!  Nachos, Hot wings, Burgers, Fries, I love them all.  In my humble opinion, Glory Days Grill has it all and does it well!  I recently visited their Sterling VA location and had a great experience.  The wait staff was attentive and quick.  Almost as soon as I sat down someone was taking down my drink order; I started with a tall boy Fat Tire.

When it came time to order our food I had decided on the hot wings as an appetizer and the All-American burger (medium) for my main course.  The hot wings were amazing, probably the best I've had in the area.  Additionally, they were actually HOT which was surprising.  The burger, cooked to perfection, was outstanding!

In the end the only complaint that I have is that I was unable to substitute my fries for tater tots (which they don't have).

I prefer glory days when I want to watch a game because of the speakers they offer at every table. You can listen to whichever TV you want.  They must have 50 TVs!!

I'm a fan of Glory Days Grill in general. I have been going to this establishment since I lived near one in Woodbridge in high school. I haven't really been able to come here too often since I live on the DC/MD border with no Glory Days Grill in sight.

My partner and I were on our way to visit her brother who lives in Leesburg, and decided to make a quick pit stop for wings. I ordered the Glory wings which are my absolute favorite. My partner ordered the seafood pizza. The pizza was pretty good. They have great standard American bar foods. I have never really not liked anything here, but usually just stick to the wings and strawberry lemonade. I was really excited to see that they now have fried pickles but was too pressed on getting wings, I couldn't make room for ordering the pickles too.

Prices are reasonable and standard. We came at a pretty non-busy time (2 PM) and had great service. Server was nice, food was fresh and hot and came out in a snap. No complaints, although it can be really busy during certain nights and days. But overall, always pleased.

Was surprised to read David C's March review about the burgers - unless he eats them well done or pretty much there so...

Anywhoo - a co-worker and I tend to end up there due to their happy hour prices after work 1x wk or 1x every 2 weeks to "vent" have a few eat, laugh etc - sometimes others from work in GF's join us since we hate to pay Brogue prices for the same thing (except the burgers...on my end anyway).

We always get great service inside or outside be it the twain of us or a group of us, and everything I've ever ordered as well as others (other than their burgers) has been just fine/very good - hey it's a chain....

So, the last couple of times in group or just 4 2, when I've ordered a burger, I get a well done when I ask for Mid rare, so I tried asking for rare, and got mid-done, then I quit - do not order burgers unless you really do not know any better, aka how to eat beef which is bad if it's anything more than mid-rare/med-rare...also, they don't use great beef...last time I ended up with 2 tries, then a free pizza a drink and I am not a complainer but - to pay 10 for a burger that sucks...just kinda irks me a little, and the fries were soggy too!

I do love their spicy marg pizza, and lots of other sands, but will never ever ever again order a burger from there - which is fine, plenty of other things to eat!

Again, great service - folks remember us, and are very friendly - even with our first coupla visits, so as far as other people's complaints - perhaps a bad nite of servers, or you get what you give - we are pretty friendly folk - hell, I'm from Maine! :)

The service is absolutely horrible. We entered the resteraunt and the first thing we saw was several severs around a table in the bar area watching Tv. The hostess sat us immediately and then........ nothing. No greet. Nothing.  Finally after about 5 min a waiter greeted us and he could barely speak English.  We ordered 2 cokes. 10 min passed before he returned. I am not exaggerating. I actually timed it on my phone. He dropped off the drinks and walked away. Did not take our orders. WTF. Seriously. WTF.

Another time I went there, I walked in and sat at the bar. No greet from the bartender or anyone. A group of servers and the bartender were gathered at a table watching Tv and talking. I got up and grabbed a menu from the host stand. Still nobody greeted me. Finally I walked out.

The service here absolutely sucks!!!!!! Am I dead and not know it? Am I a ghost?

I used to come here all the time a few years ago. I've noticed that there's been quite a turnover in both servers and managers. The only one who still seems to be here is this incredibly bitchy girl who changes hair color / highlights more often than people change underwear. Apparently they've made her a manager now. I guess they had no choice. All the good people left.

Its such a shame that only incompetent lowlifes work here. Because the food IS pretty good.

Always very good food and and great options as a sports bar.  Cheap burger nights on Mondays are a hit.  Solid burgers and fries.  The drink specials are fairly good as well.  The main thing that I have a challenge is the service.  It's a little spotty sometimes an refills have to be asked for, otherwise, the food is typically pretty prompt.

Service was horrible and sodas were $2.50 each and we had to ask for refills after they had been empty for a while. Liked the ability to watch many sports. We won't be visiting again when we are in the area.

Terrible customer service at this location.  Our waiter took our order but never wrote anything down.  Our steaks came out over cooked and we got the wrong side orders.  I don't know if the waiter felt he was being cool by not writing down our orders, but if he would have in the first place, he would have gotten the right orders to the cooks.  The waiter also sat down at one of the counters and proceeded to watch a sports event on the tv and didn't bother to fill our drinks back up.  Will not go back to this one, nor any Glory Days Grill...the food isn't even that good to bother with the crappy customer service.

A very solid choice in Sterling -- perfect after bowling with the kids nearby for lunch.  They have lots of TVs (though how come they're not all flat screen by now!) and have a very good kids menu (broader than just mac n cheese and chicken tenders).

Sliders (pulled pork, buffalo chicken) were terrific. Good portion size and the fries were good. Soups were not as good. Ribs were terrific fall off your bone good.  Stick with the standards here.

Service was very iffy.  While the server refilled drinks, dishes came out at various times (no pattern) and he missed 2 items -- even after CHECKING with me again after ordering.

Overall, glad we found this choice and if we need a place in the area, its a good choice for families and sports junkies.

I have been to Glory Days in Herndon on many occasions including my birthday and I've never had a bad experience, which is why I was highly disappointed with the service at the Sterling location.

My co worker and I went for $5 burger night on Monday.  The server failed to mention that the burgers were 4 oz and that they charge you full price unless you have them correct the amount.

The service was excessively slow.  They hire teenagers to run the restaurant, which is reflected in the service.  Our burgers took 35 mins to arrive to the table after ordering.  YES!! 35 MINS!!!
We also placed a to-go at the time of ordering, which the server placed after we asked for the check!  Our night out turned into a hour and half escapade.

Next time, I will stick with the Herndon location.  Prices are reasonable and the food is decent, but the service was 2 stars at the Sterling location.

Glory Days is a great Dive Bar/Restaurant! Now that they had to go non-smoking, unfortunately the "family atmosphere" has really increased. Kids are allowed to be rowdy... as well as adults!

The food is good for the prices and they has decent specials. The best part is the number of TV's! They are outdated, but if there is a non-pay event on, they have it!

The staff is decent. This is the reason I gave a low rating. Of the couple dozen times I have been here (I was in a bowling league very close to this shopping center), I was over-charged by the staff! The "tip" was "adjusted" several times! So, I was robbed. And I know both females that did it each time, so I have learned to make sure the receipt cant be modified anymore.

This is basically why I never go here anymore, too bad because the food is ok for the price AND they have "Glory Beer" on tap, which is actually Natural Light cheap! Nice.

We are new to the area and decided to try this place out. This may be our new favorite restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. They have over 30 tv's with sports and various programing on, which makes for a nice atmosphere. It was a chilly day outside and they kept the restaurant even colder, but overall very good place. I can see me spending Sundays watching football here and enjoying lunch.

My family and I had to run some errands in the area, so we decided to stop by here for dinner.   We had not been here in while, so we figured this was the best place if you have kids.

We arrived here around 6:30.  The place didn't seemed to packed.  When we came to the door, a  gentleman opened the door for us.

The host greeted us as well and took us to our table.  Our server was at our table right as soon as the hostess finished seating us.  She asked for our drink orders and then left the table.  She returned with our drinks,   she brought out balloons with little a little plastic frog tied to the end of it for our kids.  She apologized for taking so long with the drinks, but said she wanted to see our children have a good time.

We then placed our orders, we ordered the nachos as an appetizer.  I ordered one of their new sandwiches, the  Ruben, my wife ordered some sliders with a salad, and we got my daughter the kids slider meal.

Our appetizer of nachos came out very quickly.  They were pretty tasty.  If I remember, we did eat it all.  They were the right temperature for the combination for cold and hot ingredients.  The chips were crunchy right down to the last bite and there was plenty of toping to eat with a fork.

Our meals came out in a reasonable time.  The cheeseburger sliders were good, but the Cesar salad wasn't to the liking of my wife.  There was way too much cheese on top and the dressing had an overwhelming flavor of garlic.

The Ruben had lots of flavor and had lots of meat.  Despite being a greasy sandwich, the bread was crisp.  The fries were crisp, hot, and not overly salty.

We had a good time at this restaurant.  Despite dining with two small kids, the staff went out of their way to keep our kids happy.  Our daughter really enjoyed playing with the claw machine game, too.  I had my back turned for less than 5 seconds and guess what?  She climbed through the opening to try and grab the stuffed dog.  I was finally able to grab her out.  The manager felt bad that he put a buck in to win her something.  While my daughter was in there, she did manage to loosen a few of the animals.  The manager won a red and blue bear.  He gave it to my daughter and said here you go.  Now what does my 3 year old daughter say????  "I don't want that one!"  Geeze, kids what can you  do?  For all the people that say this can only happen on TV, well now you can say you know someone it happened to -=)

We'll be back.  It really is a good place to take kids.  With all the TVs going, loud kids are not an problem.

Glory Days is a staple for anyone who went to Herndon High School. The restaurant has been there for at least a decade (probably more) and has served consistently tasty food ever since. This is one of the only restaurants that my friends and I (all females) can easily and agree on visiting. Whenever we came back from college/grad school, this was one of the places we had to visit. Their fries are great - well seasoned and always good. Love their dressings - I think they're homemade and great for dipping the fries into. I am a big fan of their sandwiches and burgers. I have never tried any of their entrees, so I can't comment on those. My personal favorites are the Grilled Chicken Sandwich or the Chicken cheese steak. The Cheese fries and Nachos are very yummy appetizers. This is also a great place to watch a game, they have a full bar and server beer by the pitcher. Wednesday is Wing Night - great wings for half price (don't quote me on that). If you're looking for a casual, affordable, family-friendly, sporty, or simply delicious place to eat, I would highly recommend Glory Days in Sterling.

On a cold, rainy night, this facility did an excellent job of providing strong brews, and satisfying grub to liven up the dreariness.  :)  The nachos were highly plentiful, and the sandwich was quite filling.   I especially enjoyed the speaker systems on the tables allowing listening to the television of choice.   I'm assuming the emptiness of the facility had something to do with the poor weather.  Certainly a worthwhile stop if you're lounging around in the suburbs.

I eat here about every other week, typically to take advantage of Wednesday's $5.00 Half Order of Wings special with a group of friends. The wings are meatier then average and come in five or six flavors. I recommend the Glory Sauce and Asa in. If you are nervous to get messy, I also think they have some of the best nachos in the area. That is basically all I have eaten there over the past year. The couple times I deviated I was a little disappointed; mostly because the wings are better, not because what I ordered was bad.

The atmosphere is okay. Multiple TVs playing your typical satellite sports package. It can get sort of loud with the TVs going and the teenagers that seem to be in an abundance there until curfew. But it is a good place to go with a group or watch a game you might not get at home.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to visit.  The list of what they do right is endless.

They do have a tendency to be quite busy anytime we go but we are always acknowledged and seated immediately by the host.

Our waiteress[es] never fails to remember us and has, without exception, been happy, smiling and attentive.

The food is delicious.  It is served quickly and piping hot.  We have never been served a hot dish cold or ill prepared.  If we order an appetizer or salad along with an entree they time the service perfectly as we are never given our entree before we finish our first course. [NICE!]  I highly recommend the crab dip appetizer or the nachos - make sure you are hungry though - we are hardly ever able to finish a 1/2 order of nachos.

They are incredibly accomodating to families and will go out of their way to treat any youngster in your party with a fun attitude and a lot of care.  It is refreshing.

The manager is always on the floor visiting, managing, checking and assisting if becomes too busy.  The bartenders are wonderful [if you happen to snack/drink at the bar] knowledgeable but not intrusive.  We love them.  And they pour a great drink ;).

As I said it does become crowded but each table has it's own box to listen to whichever game is on one of the many tvs throughout the restaurant.  They even keep one tv switched to kids programming in the non smoking section which is neat for the kids.  It has a tendency to be a bit noisy on a game day/night - but that is to be expected in a sports bar.  We don't find it off putting, rather we like to get in the spirit too.

I could rave about the food all night long, but I would  reccomend anything on the menu - I think we have sampled just about everything.  The grilled asparagus is a special, yummy touch.  Try it if you can.

One of the nicest touches is their carry out service.  This is a restaurant that KNOWS how to package their food so it arrives home with you hot and tasty, not soggy and warm.  The nachos are especially well packaged as they place each ingredient in a separate container and you assemble upon arriving home.  Delicious.

The bathrooms are clean and well kept.  It is neat that they pipe in old radio shows of sports events and you can listen while in there.

I am glad that Glory Days is here in Sterling.  They have never failed to impress and we will be going back for many, many more good times and date nights.

I was considering holding back one star only because of how extremely crowded it can become at times.  As I said, to us that is not a bad thing, but it could be a hinderance to someone who would enjoy a quieter environment.

    Enjoy!

This is the second time I have frequented this establishment, just a mere walk from the house.  What can you say the wraps/rolls are "delicious", and the burgers are "chewy", as another diner said.  The redskin potatoes are a must have in comparison to the French fries.  The wait staff was very friendly and agreeable quickly getting our drinks orders, and splitting our bill at the end of the meal.  Excellent place to go for sports games.  They have the handy, dandy speakers things that you can twist to find your particular game at each individual table.  You can also expand your pint glass collection, if so desired.
