I am a frequent patron of this location particularly car side service. Today was obviously not a good day! After sitting in the car for 10 minutes, I decided to go in to retrieve my food. I order the same thing all of the time, chicken fajita roll up ! Not that difficult to make.... Still wasn't ready after 20 minutes! Lady had an attitude, the staff steamed seemed unorganized and disheveled, it wasn't packed (folks celebrating cinco de mayo elsewhere) Â and my food didn't even come with the mexi-ranch sauce! Highly disappointed today. I should have prepared my own dinner! You all need to work on your service! Great service keeps the consumer coming back!!
Review Source:Took my family out to eat here last Friday. Â It was mainly bar crowd watching basketball and we were seated right away. Â We had a great waiter that came back several times through out our meal making sure things were okay. Â I ordered a steak medium rare and it came back extremely well done. Â I was happy to be out with my family and didn't want to complain so I portioned my chewy steak out to my children instead of making a complaint.
Our waiter returned asking me if the steak was done the way I asked and I responded truthfully with what I did with it because it was chewy and bland. I let him know it was no biggie and I wasn't wanting to complain. Â Needless to say within 5min a manager came out asking if things were okay, I said yes and she gave me the "really?" look over. Â I asked if the waiter had told her what I said and she said he had. Â In a nutshell, I ended up with not just a redone steak to take home, but a new meal in it's entirety. Â The manager just smiled and said to enjoy. Â The next day when I dug in for lunch, the steak was great and just how I asked for it the first time. Â A small act, but one major lasting impression on me and my family :)
This is another place we had a gift card to and that's part of the only reason we went here (I was not really impressed the last time).
However, this time I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it. To start I got a drink, some kind of fruity margarita that was a lot better than I could have anticipated from Applebee's. From there I moved on to the Cowboy Burger. Normally I tend to stray from more "eccentric" burgers (which my boyfriend frowns on), but I went on a whim this time. Not only was the burger delicious, but the fries were fabulous as well. I was very surprised and impressed by my lunch here that I am actually looking forward to going back.
Let me do a brief run down of the problems with this Applebees. I went there for lunch today and it left a LOT to be desired.
1) the decor. It looks like it was decorated in the early 2000s
and has stayed that way ever since. It's dark and dingy. Heads up
Applebees: If you want to have customers coming back, have an interior that's a little brighter than it would be if I was having lunch in my
basement.
2) Drinks. My drink (a pepsi) was delivered but when someone
orders a Pepsi with no ice and a water DO NOT bring them Pepsi WITH
ice and no water.
3) Have timely service. When it takes you 5 minutes to bring 2
drinks out when there are only 3 other groups in the entire
restaurant...that's a problem.
4) Have food that slightly resembles your menu photos. Come on,
even IHOP can do it. At least their omelets and pancakes look like the
pictures. You asian stir fry with shrimp (that my GF had) was a sad
excuse for asian food. Just because you slap some
rice, veggies and shrimp together underneath a pile of store-bought
fried wonton noodles does NOT make the dish asian. On top of all that it was cooked too long and had dried out completely.
5) French Onion Soup. When serving french onion soup in a small
cup do NOT put a piece of bread in it that fills the entire cup and
soaks up all the soup. You couldn't even classify what I had as soup
since there was no real liquid in it. All it was was a soggy piece of
bread, some onions and a piece of cheese melted on top.
6) French dip sliders. When your french dip sliders make me
wish I had gone to Arby's instead...that's a problem.
7) Have someone at the hostess stand at all times to greet
people and bid guests farewell. DO NOT have all of your servers and
hostesses sitting in the back of the restaurant chatting away leaving
the hostess stand empty and the people at the tables looking around waiting for their server.
Skip this place and go to Texas Roadhouse instead. The service and food there is stellar.
I went here for lunch and attempted to eat at the bar. Â The first problem was getting over the sour smell that permeated the bar. Â It smelled like sour mop water. Â The floor was also slightly sticky. Â
After the friendly bartender took my order, I took a long look at the dirty bar. Â As I was the only one there, there was no excuse for there to be crumbs over the entire bar area (maybe they had a busy early lunch). Â I also happened to sit very close to the video poker/game machine. Â The area surrounding the machine was in need of a MAJOR cleaning. Â Dust, dirt and crumbs- the area was absolutely filthy. Â I'm certain it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, maybe even months. Â Also, it appeared that a bottle of ketchup had been spilled on the bar and was not very well cleaned up as there was a layer of sticky looking "goo" along the lip of the bar.
I really hate to be so negative, but I don't think I'll ever go back to this location. Â If the seating area is filthy, I'm afraid to think what the kitchen looks like.
Went for dinner here on a Friday night around 9pm. The dining room was quiet, just a couple of tables.
The hostess was very friendly and so was our server. He did not waste any time nor did he rush us by any means. We ordered of the 2 for $20 special menu. The  Sirloin steak was cooked correctly and the sides were fresh and hot. The Steakhouse Burger, which is a new item on the menu, was good. I substituted the fries for mashed potato and was very satisfied. Our appetizer were the Boneless Wings. Can't really go wrong with fried chicken tossed in sauce.
We ordered coffee for drinks since it was pouring rain and we got drenched, and even though it was late the coffee was also fresh.
The manager came by a couple of times to check up and was a friendly, laid back guy.
The bar had some business and karaoke going on that night, but it was not loud at all.
The whole store, including the restrooms was neat and clean.
