The food is just not good. I have order MANY things off their menu and it is just horrible. The service is decent and atmosphere is good. Lots of tvs and big screens to watch sporting events. During the weekend this place is ok and attracts a decent crowd to its bar. Bartenders are great and make good drinks. Would recommend it for a few drinks but definitely NOT their food!
Review Source:Well i wish i had read the review prior to going to eat here. Â I have come here a few times for beers and a caps game but never ordered food. Â
This time i went for a solo dinner without kids. Â Bar is great with all the tvs but that is really the only reason to go here. Â
Do not, i repeat do not order the steak and cheese. Â It was quite possibly the most overseasoned meal i have ever had. Â I think that the cook had the salt shaker set to kill instead of stun. Â Wow!!
I ate my meal and when the bartender asked me how it was i told her. Â She said she would tell the manager. Â She returned 5 minutes later with a 5 dollar coupon for my next visit. Â Nice try but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, i dont think so. Â
If a steak house cant do a good steak and cheese sandwich then i think its time to change the name. Â They are lucky that pat and gino dont come down from philly and give them some "constructive critcism"
If any one wants a 5 dollar coupon for this place, just hit me up!!
To sum it up, dont eat here. Â You have lost one ashburn resident.
We eat here fairly often since it's right in my neighborhood. Â With many visits, there has been variation in the service but generally the food is good, especially if you like steak or prime rib. Â Salad is included with the meat entrees and we really like the fresh baked rolls. We consider the prices to be reasonable with salad and side dish being included. Â The portion sizes usually allows taking something home for tomorrow's lunch. Awhile back they seemed to run out of prime rib but not so lately. Â On one visit the waiter forgot to place our orders so we got a free entree and desserts. Â He could have blamed the kitchen but admitted the error so we appreciated the honesty and amends...anyway we had plenty of fresh bread while we waited. Â This is a casual place with lots of families and a bit noisy. Â In all, a good to very good restaurant that we enjoy. Â Staff is friendly and makes a good effort to please.
Review Source:This place rules! The steak's and food are great, the service is friendly! I don't know what's up with some of these negative reviews??? but those people are crazy!
I have been going to the Steakhouse for years and am alway extremely happy with my food and service. I love the sports bar area too! The Prime Rib is to die for!!!
The salads are very tasty and free with a entree purchase as one of two side options.
The roll's are money with this sweet butter, they are soooo good!!!
This restaurant's one of my favorite in the area, please try the food here it's delicious!
Awfull! Awful! Awful! DO NOT go there! Â This place has become the pits! Â I have went to this place since they opened as a franchise of The Original Steakhouse and watched in turn into a trash pit. Â The food is terrible, the waiters are rude and management is worse than the food and waiters. Â I don't know what the owner expects but if making money is a part of the plan than he better do something. Â Otherwise his NFL pension is all he ill be able to live on because he obviously has issues with good investment sense. Â Awful! Awful! Awful!
Review Source:This restaurant has so much potential but falls well short of even a decent dining experience. Do we really need to see a dirty grill through an even dirtier window? What's with the display rack with nothing but fake greens? And the missing grill behind the window? What could be a hidden gem in Ashburn is actually a dirty uninspired disappointment.
We ordered ny strips that were cooked as we asked and were extremely grisly and difficult to chew. The wait staff is polite and friendly, but sadly unprofessional.
I seriously doubt I will ever return.
Been here twice. The food is pretty meh and the prices are high for what you get. Service is terrible. We ordered nachos which took an hour to come out. My friend ordered a burger and was informed 45 minutes later that they were out of burgers. How does a sports bar not have enough burgers? Instead he ordered a chicken breast that looked and tasted like they hadn't spent any time on it. There were random pieces of rice on his plate even though he hadn't ordered it as a side. It was like they put the wrong side on the plate and then didn't bother rinsing it or getting a new plate. The mashed potatoes that came on the side tasted like they came out of a box. Our beers came quickly though, so can't complain about that. Overall, not worth it.
Review Source:I would have preferred an internet terminal at my table instead of 50 televisions wasting electricity. I never did get the idea behind watching a football game without being able to listen to the announcer.
We first walked by a display case with two types steak displayed that would only impress someone just released from prison - after 40 years... It's just hard after having dined so many times in NY Steakhouses like Gallagher's and there very memorable meats on display. Next, the open cooking area, again purportedly to impress, didn't. Can't stop thinking about Houston's. That's the whole point behind this review folks. This place is not going to be remembered by anyone who has been around the block a few times. I'm probably not going to go back again as there's nothing memorable or exciting about the place. The menu was typical and boring. The food was just average. The 8 ounce filet for $23 could not come anywhere close in taste, texture and quality to the one I had the week previous from Harris Teeter Rancher Cut - - - for a third of the price*. (Yellow tag special) Of course the roll, salad & potato, were included, and OK - - - but nothing special. Will I tell my neighbor? I don't think so. There's no reason to.
All America Steak House better take a closer look at there operation as I think that from what I experienced they may find themselves in the obituary column in another couple of years unless they start to give there customers more than what I received in this very down economy.
To reiterate all of the other comments: Wish I would have read the reviews first, Stupid, Clipper Magazine coupon tricked me, AGAIN. Average chain steakhouse at best. I had the Bourbon St. Ribeye, GF had the Ribeye. Tasted like steak should taste. Au Gratin potatoes were strange. Pie shaped potatoes??? Better served in an iron skillet or round ramakin. Waiter, Josh, was attentive but forgot our crab dip. Good thing, GF and I both had stomach problems within 2-3 hrs of eating. Only thing we shared was the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. You do the math. Won't be going back.
Review Source:For the second time in a week, the Carry Out failed to deliver satisfactorily. Â This time, they overcooked a porterhouse that was ordered MEDIUM RARE and made it medium WELL, complete with the little yellow stick labeled MEDIUM WELL. Â The filet mignon, ordered Medium also arrived MEDIUM WELL. Â Last time they screwed up the sides, and argued that the Brownie a la mode didn't come with ice cream! Â Yes, they fix it when you get the manager, but this time it required another trip while the rest of the order gets cold. Â Unacceptable!!
Review Source:Went because of a coupon. Pleasantly surprised! I expected this place to be a lower-quality version of Outback, but it was just as good if not better. No wait on a Saturday night so that was a huge plus (although that's common in Ashburn anyway). Â I got the cheapest sirloin steak and thought it was actually better than the Outback Special, so I was happy. Also, all of the sides we ordered were very good.
Review Source:Once again, it was the "Clipper" magazine that lured us here. Â Darn Clipper! Â I mean, how can we resist saving $10 on dinner? Â LOL! Â Tomorrow is our anniversary and we usually go to far better places than The All American Steakhouse but, we're planning to take a vacation soon and agreed that we would have a better dinner at that time.
Upon entering the place, my first thought was that the restaurant has an identity crisis. Â By the entrance there are arcade machines like the one where you try very, very hard to grab a stuffed animal---and almost never get one. Â Then there is the host station. Â Behind that, is the entrance to the sports bar. Â It appears that it can be closed off. Â Today it was filled with people watching the Caps and Rangers. Â Next to the bar, is the dining room. Â After taking all of this in, my next thought was "I watch too much 'Restaurant Impossible'", as I found myself thinking like Robert Irvine!
The manager seated us. Â He was friendly as he told us that it had been very busy due to the hockey game. Â However, that was only the bar. Â When we arrived around 5 p.m., there were some tables occupied in the dining room but still plenty available.
Our server, Josh, was friendly and attentive. Â We asked him if they had a beer and mixed drink menu. Â He told us that there wasn't such a menu---not good! Â Instead, the servers are apparently expected to memorize the beer and mixed drink list. Â Per Josh's recommendation, I ordered a "Louisiana Tea", which according to Josh was like a Long Island Ice Tea but had peach schnapps in it. Â It was strong, but not too strong and I didn't taste a hint of peach schnapps in it, so all in all a forgettable drink. Â My husband ordered a Stella Artois. Â When Josh brought it, he noted that he was given a beer on tap, thus he doubted that it was the right beer. Â He took it back to the bar only to learn that it was recently put on tap. Â I was impressed that he took the time to check---and thanked him for that.
We started out with some soup. Â I had lobster bisque, which is available every day. Â My husband had a soup of the day, chicken noodle. Â The lobster bisque had a nice broth---the sherry wasn't overly powerful. Â They skimped on the lobster pieces. Â However, it cost $5 so I really wasn't expecting a generous portion. Â My husband liked his chicken noodle soup. Â It had lots of stock in it. Â However, he thought it was on the salty side.
For the main courses, I ordered the 6 oz. filet mignon. Â I like it when steakhouses offer a filet that size as it isn't too filling. Â Each steak dinner comes with 2 sides. Â I got the All American salad which had a vinaigrette dressing, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, dried cranberries and pine nuts. Â This was a decent salad. Â Also, I had potatoes au gratin with bacon. Â This was a very strange side dish. Â It came out in a wedge like a piece of pie. Â There was hardly any cheese to be found and the bacon was laid on top of the piece rather than mixed into the potatoes.
My husband ordered the 10 oz. New York Strip steak. Â For his two sides, he had garlic mashed potatoes which he said only had faint garlic flavoring. Â He also got the vegetable of the day which was green beans. Â I tasted them. Â They were odd as they tasted like steak! Â It looked like they had been browned on grill. Â I'm not too sure how they ended up tasting like steak...
Overall, I'd say that my filet mignon reminded me a lot of the ones at Outback. Â Even though my husband never had Outback's NY strip steak, he kept saying Outback was better LOL! Â So, I insisted that he taste my filet. Â He then conceded that it was similar to Outback.
Our server only had one misstep. Â We gave him our "Clipper" coupon right after giving him our order. Â Yet when the check came, there was no deduction for the coupon. Â When we pointed this out to him, he apologized and made the correction.
In the end, we decided that we won't be back. Â While dinner wasn't bad by any means, we could get a comparable (even slightly better) meal at Outback or LongHorn. Â So for us, there is no need to travel to Ashburn again for a similar meal.
Came for lunch on a Saturday.
Service was good - attentive; the hostess was pleasant as well.
Had grilled chicken sandwich - with a sweet potato - not bad!
Sat in booth near bar - TV screens were entertaining, but I'm spoiled now and only want HD / plasma screens - these were projector.
WOW! I was really pleasantly surprised. Â My first time, ordered here by accident thinking of another place so I did have to drive out of the way but WOW. Â I will for sure go back. Â One of the best steaks I've ever had and I've eaten all over the US and Mexico and had steaks that cost $100 all the way down to your whole-in-the-wall. Â Everything was really good and the staff was exceptional! Â
This is a GOLD find, hidden away and from the outside you'd never know how nice it is inside. Â I will for sure be back!
This place has sadly gone downhill quickly since changing ownership. The Original Steakhouse was excellent and we used to go frequently. We keep trying to go back but our last 4 visits have been awful. Chipped glasses (with the shards in the drink!), dirty silverware, lipstick on both mine and my husband's glasses and the last straw was bits of old food floating in my husband's beer. Yes, the issues were resolved quickly by the staff - we were even comped our meals once but honestly, cleanliness has become the number one issue as to why we will stop trying to go back. The food has gone downhill as well, the burgers are bland and definitely not what they used to be.
Review Source:OMG! How awful!!!
Went there for dinner.
Pros: we had a welcome to the neighborhood coupon so we received an entree for free.
Cons: everything else! The wait was long. SUPER DUPER long. The food was mediocre. For a steakhouse, the steak was awful! And I got the NY Strip.
Yuck. Never again.
Have to say I wasn't really happy about the food here. Of the wings, steak and sides that I ordered only the fries were good. Which isn't very hard. The wings were overcooked, the stuffed potato was really overcooked, and the steak was just ho-hum. Ho-hum in that if I ordered it in any other steakhouse I would have been really pissed. But looking at this place it's not really a typical steakhouse, you can tell they don't really have the staff or will to cook or care for a really good steak. I consider this place more a overpriced sport pub that just happens to sell steak. Â The service was meh, as well,. Refills on my drink were hard to come by, and the steak sauce I requested never came. But I'm not going to dwell on it as she was just a kid, and probably just starting out
Main point to make is, don't expect a typical steakhouse with a professional clean atmosphere. Expect a sports bar/ red robin type of restaurant (actually I think Red Robin is a bit more classy).
My family and I went here for dinner. Â I ordered a club sandwich since I didn't feel like steak... Â Worst I ever had. Â How do you screw up a club sandwich??? Â It had 1 VERY thin slice of ham and 1 VERY thin slice of turkey. Â Then, they proceeded to put so much lettuce on the sandwich that I couldn't taste the meat. Â Horrible sandwich for $9. Â The french fries were greasy and none of us could eat those. Â My youngest son's hot dog was so salty it was like eating a salt lick. Â It was just absolutely horrible food. Â If they can't make a sandwich or a hot dog correctly, I sure as hell am not going to spend $17 for one of their steaks.
Skip the place... Â go some where else. Â It would not hurt my feelings to get this place out of the Broadlands.
My husband and I went to this place one Saturday night not knowing which restaurant to pick on the GPS. Â We never heard of it and it turned out to be very good. I loved my Ribeye steak, it was seasoned and tender. My husband loved his meal also. Â We also ordered a take out of Blackened Chicken pasta to bring home to our younger son at home. Â He raved about it. Â Yep! Â We're planning our next visit there again soon. Â Everyone there was very, very nice. Â Even with a big game going on, the servers were very accommodating. Â It's out of the way but worth the trip.
Review Source:I went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant wasn't crowded. My husband & I each ordered half a club sandwich and lobster bisque soup. It took at least an hour to get our food. Our waitress apologized a few times and told us bread would be out shortly, but we never got bread. All the other tables around us who has more people with more complicated meals got their food before us. I mean, how hard is it to make soup and a sandwich? The manager came out and comped one of our meals, which was appreciated. A when we finally got our food, it was pretty good.
Review Source:Had dinner last night with friends and we had mixed reviews. Two of us had the prime rib which was served swimming in juice, way too much and not appetizing. However, the rest of us had the ribeye which was  cooked to perfection! The "loaded" baked potato was actually quite skimpy and dries out. Great service and a very friendly staff!
Review Source:Was in the Ashburn area for business and needed to get a decent dinner. After a weekend of fine dining focused on fried food and Superbowl based gorging, I needed to get something non-fried. After doing a quick search, this looked to be worth a shot.
While not bad... it wasn't good either. I would consider this a local chain-type restaurant. I had a grilled chicken breast with wild rice and steamed broccoli. Chicken was alright, rice was overcooked, broccoli was fine. My colleague had a rib-eye, with the same sides. Rib-eye looked realllllllllly weak. For claiming to be a "steak house" they should be ashamed. It was worse than most of what I would purchase at the grocery and grill at home.
I'm going with 2 stars. The service was fine and the food was edible. I don't think I'll be going back, as there are plenty of TGI Fridays / Chili's out there.
