Black Nativity Boston - National Center for African American Art

We have attended Black Nativuty for many years as a family tradition, and we were worried when this year it seemed slow to get started with a new venue. We were so happy that this was the best year ever. Northeastern is a great venue, and the audience was very close to the action, especially when the singers in the first song came up to the balcony to sing. The narrator was superb, as were all the featured singers. Although it's hard to define why, this year's performance seemed more spiritual and moving, connecting us with the Christian tradition as well as the Black experience. My wole family was moved by the performance and our grandkids especially were in awe of the whole cast. What a triumph!
