Don't judge me because I"m giving a not-so-special chain 4 stars. In my opinion, Ruby Tuesday is the only chain worth going to - I won't touch Applebee's, Chilis, Olive Garden, Outback, etc. with a mile-long pole. Why am I giving up my foodie purity for Ruby Tuesday? It's simple: GARDEN BAR. People who are looking for fresh, healthy, raw, well-stocked veggies and 3-4 different kinds of lettuce - this is your jam. It certainly is mine when I want to fill my plate many times with delicious salad goodies - perfect for WW, vegan, raw, vegetarians, and people who just want a healthy salad at a good price.
Oh, and their service seems to be light-years beyond any other yucky chain. I ask for my steamed broccoli or grilled zucchini to be prepared without butter, and it has never been a problem. My waiter even pre-empted my general abhorrence for buttered chain restaurant entrees and assumed I wanted my salmon prepared without butter - winner winner!
It ain't fancy, I won't take out-of-town guests here, but when I just need to get back on plan with a delicious salad and some fresh veggies, while the fiance wants to eat something a little more indulgent (he LOVES their turkey burger), we go to RT.
I know Rub'Tues is sorting through it's problems right now but I think in this case the concept and execution are missing each others. Â The salad bar is the draw here and they dot hat well - props to them for that. Â
The table service strikes me as almost purposefully aloof, I wondered when I visited this location why that same feeling struck me compared to the South Riding copy. Â I wonder if it is part of their newer, aim-high concept? Â Don't know, but it rubs me the wrong way. Â
More substantively however, the buffalo chicken burger is A-OK - enough spice with some added cheese, tastes great. Â The bun was warm and chewy, the chicken plentiful and well-spiced. Â I believe that is an older menu item repackaged, and done well!
Solid 2.5 stars - I prefer this further location compared to the South Riding location - service here was better. Â Another decent visit here and we'd bump to 3.
We went twice last week.
The first night - the steak and seafood were just ok. And the salad bar was all you can eat. Â So - nothing to write home about...
Our waitress' service was so-so...
I go there because it's one of the very few salad bars in the area.
The second night - service was great. Â I thing our server's name was Maria or Monica (sorry!). Â We ordered waters. Â She brought us 3 glasses of water and a pitcher in case we wanted more. Â Very attentive. Â
Had the salad bar and tortilla soup (good, but not great). Â Wife had cheese & broccoli - great!
Had lunch here today after being away for a while. Â They've updated and streamlined the menu which was nice. Â Love the salad bar and fish tacos!
Parents: Â the server brought out grapes, sliced apples and crackers for the kids (mine are 2 and 4) as an appetizer. Â Score one for Ruby Tuesday!
Ruby Tuesday's has been through a few phases in the last few years and I believe they have done two new menus in the last year.  The current menu is much  better than the last but not as good as one from 4-5 years ago. Either way, it is a solid casual place for me at this point.
I am drawn to the salad bar and now that the menu integrates more plates with better salad bar pricing it is a no-brainer to hit the unlimited salad bar when visiting. This location is clean and I have been frequently visited by the manager during each of my dinners here.
It seems as if they have a new manager that wants to pump the business but at the same time I see waitresses/bartenders sticking to the books on exactly everything they are supposed to do. Â It's like they have a notebook in their pocket and constantly checking it to see what to do next. Â This may change if the staff is new...we shall see.
Went back after my 1st date with my wife 15 years ago, I didn't want to go back there because of food too greasy and under par.
We didn't want to cook this evening and didn't to get buffet anymore, the I found $10 off at Ruby's, why not??
This is location close to my home, 10 mins drive and easy to find parking.
What I don't like about this restaurant is the section where we sat so sticky, table, floor. I don't know Did someone spelled soda or the whole bottle of syrup of the floor.
The food was so so, need more seasoning and the temperature was worm when arrived at my table. . I think I can cook better, I need only new fancy plate to put on.
my wife had salad that was terrible, not cold and old mixed green.
My service was a ok, he stopped by and check a few time.
I am only writing this review because I was so pleasantly surprised.  A few weeks ago on a friday night we had to grab a quick bite.  The only choices in the area were strip mall offerings like Ruby's  Because we had kids and my husband favors burgers, we decided on this place.  Truthfully, I was ready to be disappointed, but not even.  It's a chain so not even expecting much.  The staff was just nice but not overly imposing.  Just quiet and quick with the orders, food delivery, and extras like when we asked for extra utensils.  We both had the salad bar which came with our meals.  My husband had the creole battered shrimp which he did not like.  The shimp seemed like the small frozen types and he said the seasoning was a bit salty and weird.  And this is a man that loves his fast food.  His food came with a side of fries.  I ordered the ribeye and it was SO GOOD.  It was cooked perfectly at medium well.  Not over seasoned, and juicy.  Came with a side of baked potato (you choose your side).  It was one of the better steaks I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time.  I've eaten at Ruth Chris' Tysons, Mortons Reston, and Benjamin Steakhouse in NYC and none really came close to this.  How weird but in a good way. The salad bar was simple...lots of greens, generic toppings, and a few mixed salads like pasta, potato, and broccoli.  Not bad for a generic salad bar.  Sometimes, simple works just fine.
Review Source:This is a nice location for this Ruby Tuesday.
Setting back off of Metrotech in the Sudley Shopping center, it would be easy to miss this place.
I've lived in this neighborhood for three years and stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening.
As with most franchise joints, you know what you're going to get.
They are currently running what they call a Seafood Festival.
I opted for the Seafood Trio, Lobster, Shrimp and Crab Cake with two sides.
It was OK, I was especially pleased with the Lobster and the veggies.
With this dish you get a choice of two sides so I opted for the baked potatoe which was better than average for a franchise and the steamed broccoli.
I thought the salad bar was pretty decent. Came with a bunch of people on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered one of the Zucchini Cake Mini + Garden Bar combo. Funny thing is that it cost exactly the same as the salad bar...so you essentially get the zucchini minis and fries for free. The zucchini minis were alright. I was planning on getting only the salad bar so whether the minis sucked or not didn't matter to me.
Looking forward to coming back to another one of these joints. Not too many of them around.
Two and a half stars. Â Locked ourselves out of the car after an Asian grocery run and stopped in to grab a bite while we waited for the locksmith to show. Â Customer service was great, the place was deserted so we ended up chilling at the bar over glasses of water. Â We were privy to the gossip among the servers idling by the door, and to the phone calls the bartender fielded. Â "No ma'am, we don't have cobb salad on the menu. Â Sorry ma'am, the kitchen says we can't make it since we don't have eggs in-house." Â My smokehouse burger was cooked nicely to order. Â Cheddar was a healthy 1/8" slice melted gently onto the patty, with fresh veg and relatively thick bacon fried into rigidity (not that crispy given the steaming action of its companions). Â Fries were seasoned a little too lightly, and also softer than I'd like. Â Barbeque sauce was slathered on a little too heavily. Â I'm glad they gave us hand wipes, I looked like I'd been chowing on wings by the time I was done.
Review Source:came here for a late lunch at around 3pm,place was empty except for the wait satff.
we were ushered to a booth prompty, our lady server came appeared to be semi conscious when she asked what we wanted to drink without a smile, ugh so we gave our order for the drinks before she drops dead in front of us.
SO i had the tuesday special lobster and steak for $14.99.taste was ok.meat was not juicy nor tender but I devoured everything on the plate inspite of the fact since I was hungry.
We didnt get the best of service and the approach was cold and unfriendly. She later apologized and said she took benadryl for allergies, whatever!
